def Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Okay, if you want me to prove that you're twisting my words, I will. This is what I said regarding Carla and Patti: "Look into" does not equal "lynch" This does not mean that I want to lynch Patti - heck, I literally said I'd be inclined to townread her. "Listening" to Carla in this context means just that, actually reading what she posted and considering her opinions - not blindly following them. And then you say this, basically implying that I want to lynch Patti because Carla said so. How is this not twisting my words? What does "Listening to Carla mean" then? How should we look into Patti? How have you looked into Patti? Can you quote the exact passage(s) that Carla spoke we need to listen to? Without going back to yesterday to reread, I had the feeling that Carla wanted Patti as the top lynch subject. "Listening to Carla" sounds like "lynch Patti," more or less, to me.
JackJonespaw Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Matthew was the only person (apart from Carla herself) not to vote for Carla; at the time of his vote, there were five votes on Carla - not enough for a lynch but more than half of all possible votes. He also recognises the sheep aspects of Desiree's vote and wants to put pressure on Desiree. However, this could be an attempt to distance himself from the Carla vote, knowing that she would flip town. Overall, out of the six living players' votes on Carla {Patti, Theodore, Desiree, Trenton, me, Lynn, Alec} and the single vote on Desiree {Matthew}, I think that Desiree's scummy vote stands out the most to me. If I had to pick a second player to be scum with her, it'd probably be Trenton, Matthew or Theodore. Just a question, not accusing you of anything - seems to me like you're pinging Matthew a bit for doing the same thing you're doing today. Might have read it wrong, but I've got no pings from Matthew at all - in fact, he might be the person here whose logic is the most sound and straight. I'm not saying that our lynch of Carla wasn't justified, but if Desiree flips scum today, there will be a few people that I will trust more. What does "Listening to Carla mean" then? Without going back to yesterday to reread, I had the feeling that Carla wanted Patti as the top lynch subject. "Listening to Carla" sounds like "lynch Patti," more or less, to me. This, too. Carla's opinion was as crap as the rest of ours. I'm willing to nearly disregard her suspicions totally at this point - it's just Day One (well, Day Two, but, ya know, the first day we could lynch) finger-pointing.
def Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Whatever issues I have with Derrick's rapid fire accusal technique today, I'm still more pinged by Desiree's weak accusations yesterday, and her hard defense today. I called her out for not acknowleding a vote yesterday, and she has completely changed approaches today. It's be nice to say she's just taking advice from players to improve her game, but that's not the vibe I get. It's more an over-correction to avoid a lynch, but it makes me want to lynch her all the more. Irony Vote Desiree (Mediumsnowman) Bedtime.

My ping on Matthew comes from two reasons: him saying I want to lynch Patti (which is untrue) and his distancing from the Carla wagon yesterday by voting Desiree. I agree with his reasons on Desiree, I just see the vote as slightly scummy. It's be nice to say she's just taking advice from players to improve her game, but that's not the vibe I get. It's more an over-correction to avoid a lynch, but it makes me want to lynch her all the more. Irony She's probably just listened to a pep talk from her scumbuddy about how to improve her game.
mediumsnowman Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Vote: Lynn Benton (TrumpetKing) Is everyone absolutely insane? I'm getting votes for defending myself and building a case against the scummiest living player?

Scubacarrot Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Statements like your last are super scummy, Private Walters. I am busy so have not thought things true, so I will vote later
mediumsnowman Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Statements like your last are super scummy, Private Walters. How so?
Scubacarrot Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Stating absolutes like the scummiest player, or being sure of someone's being scum, are not hallmarks of a town player, who can be expected to consider different suspects and possibilities. They seem more like something a player that pretends would say. Of course it could just be your personality, but on the first day(s) I got a very wishy washy feel from you, the opposite of the person that is sure about who is scum.

I would say of all the living players, Benton is the scummiest in my eyes.
JackJonespaw Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I would say of all the living players, Benton is the scummiest in my eyes. ???? Why do you keep saying scummiest living player? It's very confusing. Anyway, I'll vote: Desiree Walters (mediumsnowman) Again, reasons stated above. I'm not totally sure that you're scum, but this is the only way we can figure out, and I'd prefer not to end up dead tonight for not lynching you.
Dragonfire Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Vote: Lynn Benton (TrumpetKing) Is everyone absolutely insane? I'm getting votes for defending myself and building a case against the scummiest living player? Stuff like this just makes you look worse. And your last comment is a lie: you haven't built any case against yourself ???? Why do you keep saying scummiest living player? It's very confusing. Anyway, I'll vote: Desiree Walters (mediumsnowman) Again, reasons stated above. I'm not totally sure that you're scum, but this is the only way we can figure out, and I'd prefer not to end up dead tonight for not lynching you. Wait, how would you end up dead tonight for not lynching Desiree?

If I were scum (which I'm not, I'm town) why couldn't my scumbuddy kill you? I still think Carla acted really scummy, but she is confirmed town since she died.
JackJonespaw Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 That's an odd thing to say. If I were scum (which I'm not, I'm town) why couldn't my scumbuddy kill you? Because usually there's only one scum killer per team. The rest are blocker, tracker, etc. Assuming you're the killer here, then your scumbud would be left without a killing role, right? Unless you know how these intricacies work better than I do.
Piratedave84 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Sorry I was absent today, RL kicked my megablocks!! Because usually there's only one scum killer per team. The rest are blocker, tracker, etc. Assuming you're the killer here, then your scumbud would be left without a killing role, right? Unless you know how these intricacies work better than I do. Really? The kill usually gets passed over. What makes you think scum will loose the kill? That's an odd thing to say. If I were scum (which I'm not, I'm town) why couldn't my scumbuddy kill you? I still think Carla acted really scummy, but she is confirmed town since she died. If you are town, you need to shut up or change your approach because every single time you post, you look scummier and scummier. I'm leaning noob on Desiree for now but you'd better shape up if you want to live.
JackJonespaw Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Really? The kill usually gets passed What makes you think scum will loose the kill? Oh, does it? My bad. Didn't know. Just assumed it was like a vig situation.
TrumpetKing Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Is everyone absolutely insane? I'm getting votes for defending myself and building a case against the scummiest living player? You are the only one who has accused me of being the "scummiest living player". Other people have noted my silence but nothing more, and your accusation and "analysis" that you've used to label me as "the scummiest living player", as I've said before, is a very forced version of Alec's slight note yesterday. It isn't your defense that's scummy, either. It's the fact that not only are your defenses incredibly hostile and agitated that makes you scummy. Vote: Desiree Walters (mediumsnowman)
mediumsnowman Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Sure, I'm "hostile and agitated," if that is what you want to call it. I'm pissed off, as it looks like I'm going to be wrongfully lynched. When I flip town, you guys had better take a nice, long look at Lynn Benton over here.
Dragonfire Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Because usually there's only one scum killer per team. The rest are blocker, tracker, etc. Assuming you're the killer here, then your scumbud would be left without a killing role, right? Unless you know how these intricacies work better than I do. No, you seem to know more than you're letting on.... Oh, does it? My bad. Didn't know. Just assumed it was like a vig situation. Have you never been scum before? If you have, then this is dumbtelling
Piratedave84 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 No, you seem to know more than you're letting on.... Have you never been scum before? If you have, then this is dumbtelling Even if he never was scum; when has he scum ever stopped killing? Hardly ever, that's when. I feel the bandwagon for Desiree is too quick-forming and I fear we may be lynching someone over being an overreacting noob. I'm going to vote: Trenton Collins (JackJonespaw) I'm not quite sure why but it seems that Trenton was phishing for info from the cop from his first post. It also seems he is quick to agree with everybody whilst being non-committal. I'm open to changing my vote but I'm not going to vote for Desiree, not today; it seems too easy. So, 1) where are your reasons for voting Desiree? 2)if you're not sure, you should not vote. You're the one who pointed out we were 5 town left so why jeopardize is more by voting when you are not sure of the validity of your vote? 3)someone already asked and you failed to answer; why would Desiree's lynch mean your death?
mediumsnowman Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Here, I'll take an unofficial vote tally. Desiree Walters (mediumsnowman) 3: def, Dragonfire, JackJonespaw Lynn Benton (TrumpetKing) 1: mediumsnowman Trenton Collins (JackJonespaw) 1: Piratedave84 Nonvoting 2: Scubacarrot, TrumpetKing In the voting announcement, DD says 5 are required to lynch. Is it supposed to be 4?
JackJonespaw Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Welp. The folk have rallied against ol' Trenton. That ain't good. No, you seem to know more than you're letting on.... I'm letting on all I know. So....yea. Not sure what else to address here. Have you never been scum before? If you have, then this is dumbtelling Literally years ago. Like at least two years. That's a long time for me. Even if he never was scum; when has he scum ever stopped killing? Hardly ever, that's when. Good Lord, I'm sorry. These types of things just get confusing. I never pushed for info, I was trying to come up with a plan for the cop telling info. Believe me, if the cop got a town result last night, I'm more than happy to let him stay silent. "Seems to easy". Come on. That's what you're going with? So, 1) where are your reasons for voting Desiree? 2)if you're not sure, you should not vote. You're the one who pointed out we were 5 town left so why jeopardize is more by voting when you are not sure of the validity of your vote? 3)someone already asked and you failed to answer; why would Desiree's lynch mean your death? Okay let's go: 1 - the reasons stated above, I said. Forgive me for not copying down someone else's text and changing a few words here and there. If you want me to do that, I can do that. I won't want to, but I can. Wishy washyness, suspicious activity on previous days, weak defense today - all that fun stuff. It's much easier to agree with someone than to copy down what they say and pretend to make it my own. What's so wrong with agreeing? 2 - I would assume that I'm voting for the same reason the rest of you are voting - to get rid of the scum. Desiree is our best bet. If Desiree flips town, then we'll have to change up our gameplan. Because one thing is certain - we will lose someone tonight, guaranteed. And I'd prefer not to lose two from our number, but I would much rather vote Desiree off than to let her linger with the possibility that she is scum. 3 - It's not a definite statement, although I can see how it could have been taken like that. Desiree's death doesn't mean my death. In fact, all of our lives are equally at stake (except those scum bastards). If we're being honest, even I'm not sure what I meant by that. Mafia-ing at school is just a confusing activity. Anything else? We good? No? Your wish is my command here, don't worry. In the voting announcement, DD says 5 are required to lynch. Is it supposed to be 4? If there are 7 of us, yea, that'd make sense.
Darkdragon Posted October 30, 2015 Author Posted October 30, 2015 Vote Tally Desiree Walters (mediumsnowman) - 4 (Dragonfire, def, JackJonespaw, TrumpetKing) Lynn Benton (TrumpetKing) - 1 (mediumsnoman) Trenton Collins (JackJonespaw) - 1(Piratedave84) There are 7 players left , so a majority vote of 4 is required for a lynch.
mediumsnowman Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Oops, I missed TrumpetKing's vote. I suppose that's why it's an unofficial vote tally.
Dragonfire Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I'm going to vote: Trenton Collins (JackJonespaw) I'm not quite sure why but it seems that Trenton was phishing for info from the cop from his first post. It also seems he is quick to agree with everybody whilst being non-committal. I'm open to changing my vote but I'm not going to vote for Desiree, not today; it seems too easy. I'm also suspicious of Trenton, but Desiree is higher up my scum-list. Literally years ago. Like at least two years. That's a long time for me. Still, as a fairly experienced player you ought to know that scum teams always keep the kill. That still doesn't explain the infinite weirdness of your statement. You personally were afraid of being killed by the scum at night, and you thought they'd kill you... as revenge for Desiree or something? I really don't understand you here. This, and your odd comments about me being defensive yesterday (which you still haven't replied to) are what's pinging me most about you.
