The bad guys seem to have some sort of pod containing spore-like things, and both good guys and bad have the ability to merge with a little guy. Hmm. Exo-Force next year looks promising. The purple pieces on the Dark Panther will give people the ability to build Hitomi a mech, and A mini-robot is a decent idea. Mixed Emotions On! *y* *n* TCW

October 7, 200717 yr hm... the indy sets are by far the best :-$ the city sets.... hm.... the green cargo plane looks great! i'll just change the wings. the other Post-Cargo sets... not sure ... i think the best thing is that we do have Post-Cargo sets in 2008, the models could have been better. The police sets don't look interesting to me. the creator sets are a bit disappointing to me. the yellow house is still quite nice, but none of the sets i find really 'must have sets' I like the impulse sets! :-$ hope to buy lots of them! :-$ the sw sets don't really look exciting. they may be great for the sw freaks on eb, but i don't think the general lego fan is all that excited about those. the exo force sets... hm... i'll have to take a closer look first. don't see all that much right now. still, i'm already surprised to see exo force sets for 2008. Thought its life was running out. the duplo sets... i'm kinda interested in the transparent tower of that fire station. :-) the technic sets don't look all that great... the castle sets.... hm.... just don't know what to think of them. Maybe it's because i'm the space guy not the castle guy... don't really care about the rest...

October 7, 200717 yr The city seems to be good, except the surveillance truck. The sea-plane is kinda weird aswell. The cargo plane however, is genius. I have always wanted on, same goes for the truck. The new Police station looks good, but isn't on closer inspection. Although, it is modular

October 7, 200717 yr Thanks for the link Legomilk! Well, I'm very disapointed with the new city line... The two post sets are very classics, so it's really great! The cargo truck will be mine too. But the two new big and crappy planes will not! Some money will be saved :-) And for the new police line, it's not as good as I had expected... I will hopping for a very nice line, like the firefighters was this year. But it doesn't look as well designed. But I have to recognize that the station is better than the last one, even if it's not THE policestation. I will probably buy it just for the pieces... Maybe the copter to make more airtrafficjam in my aiport, and the new polcie trcuk will not be for me too... So for me, it's just half of the new city sets, and the smaller ones! I will probably buy the new castle sets, I really love thos dwarves! And maybe the two smaller indy sets... if it's not all the line... It will depend on the new CC styled sets and their prices... And of course, some impulse sets too! ANd don't forget the creator house, and why not the spider... In conclusion, 2008 looks not as good as 2007, the level is not as hight... This is just my opinion!

October 8, 200717 yr I think '08 is just as good as '07. 2007 did introduce the awesome new Castle line, and lovely new Star Wars and City sets, along with the aeroplanes that I personally think are awesome but a lot of people seem to dislike. And Aqua Raiders, which I think are neat. However 2008's brought Indiana Jones, a new direction for the Castle theme, awesome Star Wars battle packs, and a theme minitheme for City (or brought it back); mail delivery! I personally am only planning on collecting Castle (with exceptions being, for '07, the MM Astro Fighter and Arkham Asylum, and for '08 the 2 Indy sets with land vehicles, and the Star Wars Storm Trooper battle pack). October 8, 200717 yr Wow! Where to start..... Well lets start with the cargo line. post plane, and van... not bad. I'm not a fan of 4 wide planes, but this one has a cute factor to it. As does the van. Wish it were a little bigger, but the mail box is a nice touch. Cargo truck.... Very nice. i would have prefered 8 wide so you can haul as much cargo as possible, but it wil fit well with the cargo truck in the sea port of 07'. But that forklift is absolutely perfect!! The most realisitic city forklift that LEGO has made yet! This will defenatly beon my list! Caro Plane.... Now that iv'e seen it upclose, i like it even more! Looks great!! Lots of great accesorries!! I loe the cargo lift! Ya its big, but thats one of the things that makes it as great as it is!! Police station..... perfect. Absolutley perfect! Nuff said. Surrvailance truck..... Not bad, but not super great either. Again, this should have been 8 wide. Has lots of great details and storage compartments, but is to simular to the last survailance truck. I might pick this up, but if so,would need some heavy modding. Helocopter.... Cute. LEGO did well with this. Sea plane.... Dun Dun Dunnnn........ I stand behind my original statment. I still like it. A bit big yes, but still usefull. This will be on my list as well. On to techinc... Boom truck... Alittle disapointed. Just a truck with a boom. Basicly a motorized version of the firetruck we got in 07'. Dune buggy... Ok, nothing speacail. Motorcycle... Again, nothing speacail. Racers.... Ferrari is looking good. FXX ENZO... Sweet! Opening doors! Looks great!!! Mini Scuderia Truck..... Cute, but not sure if this will make it into my collection. Nothing compares to the real Scuderia Truck of 05'! Thats all i could see in the pics for ferrari line. Over all its looking good for 08!!! Can't wait for January!!!! Maybe we'll even see some by december!!

By that i mean he's hasseling lego staff up and down the country X-D Can't say i'm at all impressed with the city sets, they just look like a giant leap backwards if you ask me. :-/
