October 9, 200717 yr Loving the 'cles. But, this is where it ends. Their canisters are pathetic. And where's Tahu, Gali and Onua?
October 9, 200717 yr I believe they'll be coming in the 2nd half of the year,as well as the other three bad guys. ~Peace Edited October 9, 200717 yr by iamded
October 9, 200717 yr I believe they'll be coming in the 2nd half of the year,as well as the other three bad guys.~Peace ________ Hello iamded! *skull* Any idea if their will be exclusives to Castle and Indy or not? TTFN! >:-)
October 9, 200717 yr 8-| Um, I know Dwarf's Mining says 'Special Edition' or 'Limited Edition' on it... I don't know for sure if they'll be coming out in the 2nd half of the year, but some one else said it, and it sounded perfectly logical, so I just kinda agreed. I have no idea about sets after the one's we've seen in this catalogue. ~Peace Edited October 9, 200717 yr by iamded
October 9, 200717 yr There are already a few Brickshelf folders with the Catalog - including this one
October 9, 200717 yr my opinion (not that anyone is interested :-P) SW - great year for collecting, minifig wise. sets however are abysmal. AT-AP looks good, hailfire droid looks good. but that's about it. hope that juno and battle damaged *vader* comes in magnet set so i wont have to buy the building set. :-P it's just bad. stormtroopers and rebel soldiers mf sets are great. no need to buy ILC for army building. :-P Indy - motorbike chase and the trucks are great. others are quite meh. :-/ castle - some of the better sets around. nice seige tower, nice attack wagon. mining set poor but with great accessories. minifig builder set is poor (lack accessories, small trolls have no shield, etc.) the troll battleship seems decent but the lack of troll accessories is the killer. 6 trolls and only 4 shields and 2 swords. let's hope the released set is better. either that or wait for the chess set!!! creator - almost perfect. the beach house is a must have. small but so detailed. i think it is better than lego classics. :-P the cargo helicopter is also well done. looks like you can fit a mf there but it's kinda small. still it looks perfect for my town. city - the police station looks well designed. good as a playset. look at the jail. it has so many features. prison breakout. locked doors. modular. the main building is well designed too. too bad they changed the motif again. we're back to blue and white now. :-P the police helicopter looks decent to buy too. the truck and plane sort of meh. :-/ i'm not that keen on the cargo and postal sets. quite meh to me. :-/ the van looks terrible. certainly something a novice (like myself) can drum up in an hour or less. rest of them (EF, bellville, etc) big giant don't care MEH from me. :-/ :-/ on EF: how many stick figures can you sell before they start to look alike. ops...i forgot....they did that for 3 years with KK2 action figures. :-P yeah, cockpit is now enclosed but design is still crap. :-P giant popeye calves, 60s shoulder pads, super short thin arms. so the gimmick this year is arms that turn into mini robots??? duh. quick! someone pass kwi-chang's number to TLC. :-P but that's a big relief from me. 2007 has been quite expensive. still lots more sets to collect. can't afford good sets from 2008 as well. :-P
October 9, 200717 yr It looks good for next year and I really like the look of the Rougue Shadow and the AT-AP.
October 9, 200717 yr The discussions here are nice so that we can get an overview of what EVERYONE thinks about these sets but they're too general and it really doesn't do any of the sets justice at all. On one end, someone's talking about bionicle names I have no idea about, on the other hand someone is talking about creator and then jumping to Indy sets. There are categories at Eurobricks.com, why aren't these broken down into the different categories by now so that we can all discuss about the particular genre we are interested in? I think by now, we should have divided up the topics so that we can get some really interesting discussions. Perhaps have cargo in town and city and leave bionicle somewhere else for those guys. This way, fans can contribute and get discussions going that are interesting..........and not..... " I like SW but this kinda sucks because it sucks, but Indy sets are nice because yeah it's great." Someone please break this up, or else we'll have two more months of mixed bag discussions. 800+ views so far -_-, and none of the discussions are really going anywhere at all. No comment on classics, no comment on style, no comment on current theme lego is taking in comparison to bionicle, creator, town, yadda yadda now it's just like a Myspace babble post *wacko*

October 9, 200717 yr Lame sticks about half the Toa coming out later. Lame... I don't see how its lame, it seems like a good idea to me. Besides, the second half of the year takes place at a swamp (probably). So that means the other 3 could be land types. -ZotS

October 10, 200717 yr i'm a bit puzzled by the cargo doors of the green plane. I don't see how they can rotate the way they do on the pics without haveng a gap in the roof, allowing the door the extra space it needs to rotate... same with the police plane, but i don't see any gap there...

Erm... yeah, I see what you mean. Perhaps the doors can sort of slide forward a little, to give them room to swing up. Because, I don't see a gap either...
October 10, 200717 yr Erm... yeah, I see what you mean. Perhaps the doors can sort of slide forward a little, to give them room to swing up. Because, I don't see a gap either... I don't know... I don't think they slide. I believe to see a little gab where the white tiles are, but I'm not sure. Here is my theory: The doors have hinges on top, but they are about 1 stud sunken-in so that they are below the hull, and maybe also sticking out 1 stud (so that there is a 1x2 stud carved out of the door for each hinge), allowing the doors to rotate on their top edge that is facing toward the plane and make any part of the door that is behind the rotation point of the hinges drop. This would suggest, though, that this edge would eventually have to be round (which would suck of course). It's a complicated thing! Too bad that the catalog is split right at the point where you would be able to see if there is anything going on on the side of the doors. Oh well, I guess we'll find out eventually... In the case of the Police plane, you can totally see a TECHNIC-hole on the inside of the side of the door, apparently an X-shaped one. That's probably where its rotation point is located.
