A Gallifreyan Cat Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 A few of you may have seen my earlier post about an axle, and this is where it has ended up. This is a chassis for a long wheelbase, lifted pickup truck. It features 4 wheel drive, steering, and solid axle suspension with coil shocks in the front and leaf springs in the back. Soon I will be building a Ford F-250 body for it. But enough talk, here are some pictures. Front axle, with panhard bar: Rear axle and leaf springs: Comments, criticisms, and suggestions are welcome! fndcz Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 cool~ looking forward to more detailed pics Quote
A Gallifreyan Cat Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) Here is a test "offroad". Disclaimer: No, the battery box will not be there in the final product, and yes, I do dump LEGO all over the floor. Edited October 31, 2015 by A Gallifreyan Cat Quote
Imanol BB Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Nice chassis idea, it seems really strong and powerful for its size, nice work. Quote
flyboy01 Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 can't wait to see the finished product! I will try to reverse engineer it! Quote
A Gallifreyan Cat Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 Thanks! It might be a while, the bodywork is going slowly. Quote
A Gallifreyan Cat Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) UPDATE: I actually did some of this a while ago, but I forgot to post pictures. Anyway, here are some more pictures. I redid the front and rear suspension to make the chassis lower and slimmer, and I have started the bodywork. At least for Americans, the grille should be quite recognizable. For those of you who don't recognize it, it is a Ford F-250. Edited December 17, 2015 by A Gallifreyan Cat Quote
Imanol BB Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 seems really good, i cant wait to see it with the body, it looks very promising. Quote
