Does anyone know of a rather good way to make wheel arches, specifically like on the back of a Ford F250, to go around a 6 stud diameter wheel?

I have experimented with these, but either way I line them up the two-stud protruding bit ruins the curve. I plan on having the entire assembly stick out from the body by half a stud, using jumper plates.

Thanks in advance!

SIX studded wheels? Never even heard of those.

I was gonna say to use the curved piece on the stationed gun on the left here, but I don't think it would fit at all. Sorry friend, hopefully someone else can help out.

You could try looking at the instructions for 10248 Ferrari F40 for ideas. The rear wheels in particular might be closer to what you are looking for.

Another possibility are these 1x6 mudguards but have them oriented so that the protruding lip is hidden on the inside. They might be small enough that any shaping won't deviate too much from your desired proportions.
