Posted November 2, 20159 yr I built this little diner to fit into my Modular town. It occupies a single base plate and can serve as an end cap to a row of buildings, but has facades on three sides. To date, this is one of my favorite builds. A little close-up of the marquee: Ground level view of the restaurant: A little profile shot: And then the top came off! Plenty of seating inside: Hamburger, fries, milkshake, or a fresh slice of pie today? The staff is always friendly and helpful. There's always a hoppin' tune playing on the jukebox. Situated in a busy area of town: Thanks for looking! You can see additional pictures (with more details) in my Flickr gallery!
November 3, 20159 yr Very good. It reminds me a little about a vintage pc game named Street Rod (and Street Rod 2). Nice of you to think about people with child wagons and wheelchairs :) Also practical if you have a rollergirl/boy serving directly to the cars. Edited November 3, 20159 yr by Sir Stig
November 3, 20159 yr Very nice. I like the colour scheme. And the disabled parking slot. For some reason I imagine the jukebox playing Imperial March...
November 3, 20159 yr Thats a nice little diner with pretty much nothing to complain about. I would probably add anotger red trim line to the upmost row of bricks on the roof though.
November 3, 20159 yr I love the intricate details like the ketchup and mustard at every table and the vinyl red and white benches. Also the jukebox is great and looks authentic. I love the build.
November 4, 20159 yr Nice diner! You have definitely maximised the occupancy of the diner! May the business boom! The couch seating looks great!
November 5, 20159 yr Perfectly captured the look of the 50's style diner inside and out. Bravo sir. Great moc.
November 6, 20159 yr Very Nice! It's very detailed. I really like the different elements used in the MOC as well. Great Work Edited November 6, 20159 yr by Brodus
November 6, 20159 yr Love this diner!! I think it fits perfectly on any set up; city, small town. It's great!
November 7, 20159 yr Nice! Great colour scheme and I like how you have done the ramp to the front door.
November 7, 20159 yr This is great, the interior is what really does it for me. Reminds me of a lot of old movies.
November 7, 20159 yr Nice MOC, you really captured the atmosphere of a 50's dinner. I really like that both the interior and exterior are very detailed and the juke box and those seats are really nice
November 7, 20159 yr Great diner. Love the colours and all the little details. The interior reminds me of the one I build recently. That jukebox is awesome.
November 9, 20159 yr Wow! It looks really cool! The interior is very nice and you found a great colour schemefor it!
November 10, 20159 yr Wow! This is really great! My only confusion is the coffee cup sign. I think it might be better if it was modeled after the LEGO coffee cup piece. But hey, you're the target audience so if you like it this way, then it's met it's mark. Good job!
November 11, 20159 yr Nice. I really am digging the retro 50's look. Put some Star Wars figs in and you'll convince everybody in the Star Wars forum you've made Dex's Diner ;)
