Hi everyone,

I`m thinking about buying this case for my licensed minifigures. Can someone tell me is this good product or maybe someone got those and can tell me something about this case?

Limited availability, not in production anymore - relatively expensive when new, very expensive in the aftermarket - especially if you decide in the future to house more figures and want your displays to match.

There's several threads on displaying minfigures, just search for them - some great ideas, some LEGO built, some inexpensive (and some expensive) solutions.

fred67, it has been re-released this year.

Indeed, I thought I recalled seeing them in Toys R Us the last time I was in there. I've got way too many minifigures to be fooling with those, so I've got to go the DIY route.

not only those display cases are overexpensive, you're also screwed if you wanna display Marge Simpson or minifigs with special accessories - so for the Simpsons I built my own and it ended up costing less per minifig (but isn't protected by glass, even though it's mostly made of glass frames)

Interesting; good to know... but even new they're way more expensive that solutions that give you a lot more flexibility and/or better use of space.

Here's one good thread on the subject.

I have seen many flickr / pinterest posts about people using RIBBA frames from IKEA, so went to pick up a few a couple of months ago. I found something called the KASSEBY display case instead, and they are absolutely perfect for displaying minifigures.

You could probably build a background that is a lot less random and a bit more elegant than here, but the box itself is ace. Deep enough to display some builds, I reckon and "shelves" can be put in at the height you want. The box is six studs deep and 52 wide.

Can anyone tell me will medusa fit in these cases please?

Sitting side-ways and not connected to the base plate, but otherwise no.

How have you done the shelves in the display case? This looks great!

That is pretty cool, thanks for the reference. I have actually been thinking of making this for awhile but haven´t found any frames deep enough but of course IKEA has everything. Didn´t think of that :sweet:

It's just plates 6 studs deep sandwiched between blocks 2 studs deep - I had a lot of old blocks lying around! I'm sure there could be more elegant ways of building something using sloped parts or all white bricks or something, but I kind of like the multi coloured random look. You could probably do the card + glue + blocks people do with the RIBBA frames too, but as these fit Lego so perfectly...

I think these are new! I'm happy because they fit the deeper figures like Medusa. I'm making another licensed fig frame and am going to build it so it can house some big figs and builds like Groot too.
