Ghostbusters (Reboot) 2016 sets rumors and discussion

I like the look of the new ecto 1, and I will probably pick it up. I'll have to wait and see this new chinese restaurant facade before I make a decision. If its a very detailed facade with maybe a little bit on the backside I would probably consider it just to pose the car in front of. As for the movie, it looks like it might actually be funny. I'm willing to give it a shot.

Hmm... That matches the ideas of an alternate starter pack/starter pack expansion. Like a mini toy pad, but with that instead of the portal.

is it possible that each connectables set is a facade from different themes that can be "connected" together like the worlds have been mashed up. that would be awesome! because we'd finally get sets that tie in with the game. and perhaps each facade has space to display the figures from that universe

I hope there are more sets that we don't know about coming. I would love to get a Lego Times Square, and with the news of the Chinese restaurant set I think it is very possible we could see some more ghostbusters sets.

I'm surprised we might be getting more Ghostbuster sets, I thought the ecto 1 set had all the characters necessary. Maybe we'll get that bigger villain in the restaurant set.

I like the look of the new Ecto-1 and some of the new pieces, but I can't say that I like the movie and the license. SNL actors, a train wreck of a trailer, and a untasteful cash grab in the wake of the death of several of the original actors. Not to mention how tacky it was to visit terminal kids in a hospital for their promo.

Just saw said trailer. Rowan's Ghost looks awesome, Slimer looks good as always and I love that new Ecto-1 hood ornament is little ghost. Jokes are however mixed bag, some work and some not. I remain neutral towards the movie.

But... The original also uses SNL actors, and what "several" are you referring to? Harold Ramis isn't "several" people.

The last trailer made me a bit skeptical on the movie. I have no problems with the all ladies team, but I think the jokes are just really hit-and-miss. This is one movie I'm really pulling for, do I hope it's good.

The set still looks really solid, though. I wonder about the box art, if maybe it'll look like it's only for the new movie or a potential on-going series.

Yeah, the model looks really great, and those mini figs are also perfectly detailed. I really consider buying the 2016 Ecto 1 even though the movie ends up being garbage. On a side note, could the 1984 movie have any more sets in the future? Considering the 2014 ecto 1 is one of the move beloved lego sets expanding the theme of the original two movies doesnt seem like a bad idea...
