No. Isn't there a London Bus promo, maybe that's a GWP with it?

Don't think so, I think the June GWP is that fountain.

Yes, a lot. There's what seems to be Kylo Ren's blade in tan for the crosses but it looks smaller, so I think I'm wrong.

AMA.

Can you give us more details, i.e. the overall look? What details really stand out, does it look like Big Ben?

Oh, gosh, you've got pictures already..

Uh.. any other interesting pieces in new colors? Is it the entire place or just the tower?

Is it just me or does it feel like there's a missing post before this one?

Nope. J2G says he's got a picture, right above, AMA.

Didn't say I have a picture. I have at least saw one.

Yeah. There's part of the palace connecting to the tower. The bell is on the box, which is kinda funny. There's microfigures (board game figures) as the detailing for some of the walls. And, IIRC, the clock face is a radar dish flipped around.

unfortunately not a photo of the real original LEGO set ...

But already available from an asian distributor:

Did the tower look good? Was it comparable to the other landmark sets in terms of complexity and ascetics? I mean, if one of the most potentially complex and beautiful parts of the tower really do consist of a reversed radar dish and what I assume to be a sticker, then I'm really not sure if to expect anything of outstanding quality. Also, was the bell 1 piece or brick built? And did you see the piece count?

Thank you.

Why would you assume a sticker for the clock? Tower Bridge has a unique print for the shields. Stickers don't even work with the curvature of radar dishes anyway.

My bad.

That LEGOLand one is so similar! It's a little smaller than that.

Also, I think the clock-face is one piece, may be wrong. One radar dish inverted.

Asking the dimensions, here it is:

19 cm / 7.4 in. wide

60 cm / 23.6 in. high

Wow, that is pretty huge, thanks! You are talking only about Elizabeth Tower(Big ben)?So complete model may be a lot bigger? Edited by Ondra

Well it comes with part of the palace, too. Actually, like the exact amount as the LEGOLand model. And yeah, there's a brick built Big Ben (the bell). I wrote that it's made up of a dish, circular 2x2 plate, 2x2 cicular jumper, then the rest was fuzzy.

Those dimensions must be the clock tower only - otherwise it would be pretty small - only 19 cm wide??? Would make no sense if that includes the rest as well.

60 cm high is pretty good, can't wait for images!

Well, my only concern about this set is that the build might be the most tedious one since ages ... :sceptic:

Well worst than Tower bridge it never will be  .

"Hurray page 300 Im finished !...Oh wait where is the second tower  ?"

But for me it will be great display model, because I have room in same tan colour as these London landmarks.

That's what D2C sets for me have to be ... great display models.

However Creator Expert D2C sets also have to be great builds, using clever building technices, etc. I'm sure Big Ben will have this as well.

Can't wait for the Volkswagen Beetle, Big Ben and Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS. The only Lego sets I'll buy this year.

There's already one in the Vault in Billund...

We were there for the EB Event and somebody spotted this on a shelf. Only the side of the box was visible though, so not much to see. But at least it's ready for sale :)
