Jern92 Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Wow, we're getting really close to the release and there aren't even pictures yet. LEGO is being incredibly tight-lipped about this.
CM4Sci Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 I should probably mention June and July are early release dates.
Jern92 Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 (edited) I should probably mention June and July are early release dates. OK that makes slightly more sense. So glad I'm visiting Legoland in July now; hoping I'll be able to pick up Big Ben then. Edited May 14, 2016 by Jern92
Herky Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I should probably mention June and July are early release dates. Usually there are pics though, CM4, any leaks from your sources? Would like to see it if possible. Same with Beetle
CM4Sci Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 (edited) Nothing yet. Beetle is definitely for real though! Edited May 17, 2016 by CM4Sci
TheBrickPal Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 (edited) Seen set! Looks huge. 4163 pieces. Not sure if I should link; saw on Twitter. Edited May 18, 2016 by Puffle Pal26
CM4Sci Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Haha wow that's pretty cool. Love the little tree! Looks like he's got more pictures, too. The tweets have been deleted because it isn't Thursday
Celery Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Does anyone know the dimensions? I cannot read them on the image.
davidmull Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Will this be minifig scale or even fit in with a modular city?
Brickthusiast Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Does anyone know the dimensions? I cannot read them on the image. Was wondering the same..
Kryne Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 im guessing 70cmx70cmx20cm But that's just a guess going by brick heights and guesstimates
merman Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Not minifig-scale. The use of the microfigs in the walls is unusual
Jern92 Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 (edited) It could just be a clocktower in your modular city. Perhaps fix a ladder inside all the way up to the bell. On a side note, LEGO is really cutting down on baseplate availability. I'm rather surprised that even this set uses normal plates as the base. Edited May 18, 2016 by Jern92
LegoFjotten Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 (edited) Can anyone make out how the spires are made? Edit: I see it now, the ski pole. Nice part to get in gold. Edited May 18, 2016 by LegoFjotten
TheBrickPal Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 According to Huw, the press release is due at 3 PM London (ironic, I know) time tomorrow. Cannot wait for a closer look!
CM4Sci Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Huw took down photos in the BS Forum so I dunno if they'd be expected to be taken down here with the reveal being so soon.
TheBrickPal Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Yeah, the leaked photographs aren't meant to be shared. He told me not to post an article on them because of the official reveal tomorrow.
Emmi Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Wow, this looks waaaay better than expected. I might get this set after all ... also functional clock, how cool is that!? Very impressed, can't wait for the full reveal tomorrow.
KlodsBrik Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Finally. And this looks even more awesome than the picture I saw leaked. That picture was of quite poor quality still .... Actually so much that it makes me wonder if it was just an early WIP of this. But glad to see this finally in good resolution. Looks awesome ! BTW, anyone knows what's the price is gonna be. Did I miss out on that ?
someguy827 Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 For anyone interested in dimensions, Just2good gave them a while back: 19 cm / 7.4 in. wide 60 cm / 23.6 in. high
Emmi Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 For anyone interested in dimensions, Just2good gave them a while back: 19 cm / 7.4 in. wide 60 cm / 23.6 in. high Yes ... but most of us are interested in the length ... I cannot make it out of the rather small image ...
TheBrickPal Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 BTW, anyone knows what's the price is gonna be. Did I miss out on that ? I believe $349.99, which is not a bad deal at all for over 4k pieces.
KlodsBrik Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 (edited) I believe $349.99, which is not a bad deal at all for over 4k pieces. Thanks. No its not, from what the pictures suggest what pieces are included. They looks mostly useful, and quite a bit of rare pieces as well. I think this is gonna be yet another LEGO bestseller.
