The time has come! Who are the best firetruckers? ;-)

Here's the collages, made by our graphical expert Hinkie-tink! *wub* Thanks, Hinkie! *sweet*

Engine Category:

Ladder Category:

ARFF Category:

fire03.jpg

That's it! Now vote! :-P

Edit: Additional pics of the entries can be seen here. :-$

Edited by UniqueBuilder

No problem Ubie-Scube! The great lettering of the members' names was UB's idea! *sweet*

I voted for SpartanML in the engine category-It struck me right away as clever and well executed, I really like the color scheme and decals-are they customs?

I voted for simonwillems in the ladder category-Most creative entry in my opinion-very unique!

I voted for Lassed D in the ARFF category-that thing is just freakin' awesome!

Great entries everybody and thanks for running the contest, UB! :-)

I voted for;

Engine - Simonwillems.... because his looked the most like mine! Honestly, mine was my favourite! :-$ But it is such bad form to vote for your own stuff. I have never been a fan of the US style fire engines and that negates half the entries. I'm in trouble now, aren't I.... 8-|

Ladder - Simonwillems. A Messerschmitt ladder car. :-P Anyone who has seen the movie Brazil would realise in a second how absurd the concept is! (And you haven't seen Brazil you should, but be warned it might drive you insane! :-D )

ARFF Lassie D. He is a real talent. People really should look here prior to voting. It not only looks great it has a working pump and suspension.... 8-

Wow! I am getting quite some votes, thanks :-$

In the engine and ladder category I voted for SpartanML because I like the level of detail and the balanced choice of color in both machines. I know how hard it is to make a good looking American firetruck... Good job!

In the ARFF category I voted for LasseD, perfection all the way...!

:-)

This has to be the hardest contest to cast votes in I have ever seen on EB. Not only are there many entries, but they all have their good qualities:

Engine:

Landlubber Has light and sound.

LuxorV Awakes some good memories of how LEGO firetrucks looked in the good old days where we had Basic set 735.

Zeki Looks like it is great fun to play with being solid looking with many seats.

MengShu1985 I thought this was a ladder. It does also look like a fun truck to play with with the many rooms accessible from the sides and a ladder in top.

NBFD841 Resembles an American firetruck very well.

Simonwillems Resembles the European one he showed in its thread very well.

Casewindu Is again one of those that looks like great fun to play with... it even has a hose!

Isotope Smooth rendering. And the trucks looks great as well.

Sinner Has a good seating solution, but is also the only one to use the larger wheels in this category which makes the base look cool.

SpartanML Again one of those very realistically looking models.

UniqueBuilder Dared to use the alternative technique for the windscreen which actually is more realistic than the sloped ones for these kind of trucks.

I really like the realistic looking ones and those that look like fun to play with, but I'm such a big sucker for light and sound that Landlubber gets my vote.

Ladder:

NBFD841 There is just something very cool about that front overhang... hard to explain.

Simonwillems A Messerschmitt! Awesome!

SpartanML Has the alternative windscreen and looks realistic, but does also look like a stable and fun-to-play-with kind of model.

UniqueBuilder Is again one of those very realistic looking models.

NBFD841 has my vote... there is just something about that overhang.

ARFF:

Zeki Has one that looks like the most fun to play with.

NBFD841 Has a very realistic American looking model.

SpartanML I'm pretty sure there can be some light and sound in this one.

UniqueBuildre I had actually planned to make an Oshkosh if I didn't get the white windscreen.

I didn't get the windscreen... and didn't build an Oshkosh, but I really like the one from Unique Builder - it looks much better than my own interpretation of the vehicle (which is no more). Big wheels,

This was a hard voting!

For engine i voted Isotope, it has that old school big american feel wich i really like. A nice clean MOC!

For ladder i voted Simon Willems, never saw that done before, very creative!

For ARRF i voted unique builder, it has lots of detail and comes really close to the original!

Firetrucking on!!!

Man, tough choices! I'm not gonna say who I voted for, but seriously, every entry is spectacular! Awesome job, guys! *wub*

My votes:

Engine - SpartanML (hard fight vs Isotope, for they're both very impressive, but I can better appreciate the actual plastic one)

Ladder - NBFD841

ARFF - Lasse D (precise and impressive all the way)

LuxorV

One of the toughest assortments to choose from yet. I almost wish there was a way to weight the voting and pick a top 3 in each, they're just that good and the difference in getting the vote or not is incredibly close.

One vote for Isotope who just edged out NBFD841 from sweeping my votes, which doesn't surprise me since he came here making it clear he was a fire equipment builder.

Honourable 'almost votes' to Sinner for presenting a great take on a different style of engine than I'm used to, UniqueBuilder for a ladder that packs in a lot of detail in the right proportions, and LasseD for an ARFF with so many cool features.

Great job by all! *wub* *y*

For the engine category I voted SpartanML, a smooth tiled look and oldschool cabinets! *sweet* *y*

For the ladder category I voted NBFD841, because rearmounted towerladders are my favourite configuration, and this one is no exeption! *wub*

For the ARFF category I also voted NBFD841. :-$ Sorry Lasse, but US trucks does the trick for me! :-D Close second... ;-)

This is gonna be exciting!

Vote On!!

No problem Ubie-Scube! The great lettering of the members' names was UB's idea! *sweet*

I voted for SpartanML in the engine category-It struck me right away as clever and well executed, I really like the color scheme and decals-are they customs?

Hey thanks for the vote! The decals are actually a mix of custom and lego. A few are from various sets while the numbering and the writing on the main body is custom. Its a pain in the butt, however it is definately worth it! Also I must say, LasseD has one the finest ARFF rigs on the internet hands down. Excellent work to everyone who entered!

Well, I definitely voted for SpahhhhtanML in the Engine category, Paulie in the Ladder category and Spartans Amertek in the ARFF category. I can't believe nobody in the LMFD told me about this!!!! I would have unleashed some new trucks!

I voted for Sinner, in the first category, as I just love the 'lil details on his.

I voted for NBFD841 for the second category, as I really, like the front section on his, and the pipe!

And again NBFD841 got my vote in the last category, as the greeblies/ small details are fantastic!!

A pretty hard voting indeed, and a very impressive range of cool works, congrats to all! *y*

Engines: Isotope, very decent.

Ladders: Simonwillems, soo sweet.

ARFFs: Lasse D, just smart.

Hard choise! There were a lot of good entries!

And it's great to have made some categories, because choosing just one firetruck would have been impossible!

So I voted for Simonwillems, Uniquebuilder and LasseD.

And good job for all of you who had entered thice nice contest! *y*

This was a hard one. NFBD's first two entries were spectacular, while Lasse D's Airport firetruck stole that category.

i totaly lost in this one *wacko* :'-(

Well, it's hard to argue with that! :'-( But even so, please don't take it too personally. There were a lot of entries and it is easy to get missed when that happens. I thought that I had a chance of winning myself and I put a bit of work in my entry, but it was not to be! :-P I hope you are prepared to give it another go next competion! :-)

So when is the voting over UB?

Very well said Sinner! :-)

I hope to see you enter again too Zeki! Even though the contests have winner, I think they should be about fun! Have a good time and don't worry about the votes...

Yeah Man~~~ Most importantly is that we can see what others have create and we can learn from one another..........Win or not does not play an important role, its more important to know that there are alot of fire engine fan around the world....And we can share our creation out.....

My entry also did not get any of the votes...Cheer up........ *y*

hope it will be better next time...i will be happy getting one vote :D
