Posted November 21, 20159 yr Hello Everyone! Since it's the very short time of year where snow falls in my area, I decided I on a MAN TGA 8x8 Plow truck. Here are my inspirations: http://carblueprints...8x8-chassis.gif http://2.bp.blogspot...ow-plow-mod.jpg I have completed the two rear axles and waiting on a bricklink order for the two frontal axles. I am working on two pneumatic autovalves each with one pump. To fit the autovalve/pumps inside the chassis, I would only have space for 1XL motor instead of two. Here are some pictures of my progress. http://bricksafe.com/pages/Beck/technic_mocs/man-8x8- Comments, Criticism are most welcome and are appreciated. November 21, 20159 yr The bricksafe link is missing a dash ( - ) at the end. Looks very promising :-) Let's hope those differentials will be able to handle the xxl force ;-)
November 22, 20159 yr It's nice to see someone else also is involved in such a challenging MOC!! Looks good so far! Not huge fun of that rear axle suspension setup (mostly because it's not like the real one) but I'm sure will be an epic moc!!! Mine it's finished and soon will be posted…I think will be great for both of us to compare them!!
November 23, 20159 yr Author Update: I have just completed the first of two steered axles. I am currently in a conundrum as to how many XL motors to use. Given my current setup of 2XL motors, I would have practically no space for two autovalve pumps, I would have to only use one XL motor to fit the two autopumps inside the chasis (ideally on either side of the XL motor, between the two sets of axles. Photos are in my bricksafe as always. The bricksafe link is missing a dash ( - ) at the end. Looks very promising :-) Let's hope those differentials will be able to handle the xxl force ;-) Thanks! Yeah I know my suspension setup is unrealistic, but given the scale and my personal dislike of leaf springs, I think my setup shall be just fine.
November 23, 20159 yr Yeah I know my suspension setup is unrealistic, but given the scale and my personal dislike of leaf springs, I think my setup shall be just fine. Yeah fiar enough.....I do love leafsprins so I did use them in all axles! Probably for me matters a lot the "realism"....even just looking at them it makes me happy and proud! Anyway keeps up updated!!
November 26, 20159 yr Author Update: I received my bricklink order including the long pneumatic pump and pannels to build the cabin and bed. I have completed both autopumps and the two front axles Photos are in my bricksafe as always. Happy thanksgiving to those who are celebrating!
