I just bought my 75105 and prepare to mod it for instaling the lighting and hidding landing gear (more mods later).
I think that simple ways are the best ;)

Hello,

I want to show my first MOD of Lego Millennium Falcon 75105!

Hope you like it :)

Advanced and more tight model now.
What do you think to make hidding landing gear mechanism in it?

I really don't understand why LEGO gave and what for this item to the set?!

Maybe to make easier assembly landing gear? It's easier to find a right place.

I added a new modification, another hole covered :classic:

probs 4 would, but the current cockpit is already too big, if you were to somehow get that piece on the current system scale size model, it would look huge, might not be too bad for kids who dont care at all for looks and just want to fit more figures inside.

Great!

Will try to do something similar, maybe change the structure to better position for landing gear

I'm relatively new to the world of Legos but have built numerous sets thus far (mostly Star Wars) and the gaping on the 75105 drives me absolutely bonkers.  I like how you have fixed it and would love to replicate it.  The issue is, I don't have a ton of extra pieces lying around so I'm not exactly sure what pieces I need to replicate what you did...is there a way to create a parts list so that I can get the necessary pieces?

Thanks!

you will need a lot of 2x4 wedge pieces

Exactly 15 on each side (left/right).
I've just ordered missing pieces for my mod with lights ;)

I really liked this thread and mods.
It's the first result on google for keywords search "75105 mod", what a pity that all Dameronian's pictures have disappeared.
Now, it's difficult to understand most of the posts.

I had the same problem, so I prepared a movie with my MODs, check this:

or check my FLICKR album with 75105 MODs and ask if you need more photos :classic:https://flic.kr/s/aHsm8mJVBK

I bought the wedges only thinking they'd be all I needed based on certain posts (and without the accompanying pictures). Ugh, looks like I'll have to make another order if I want to close the gaps.

First post so please be patient until I get up to speed on the forum. Does anyone have a list of parts required to carry out the various modifications inc numbers, colours etc. Also best site to purchase parts from. I am thinking of purchasing the Falcon as a first buy and would love to mod it. Hopefully when I purchase more sets and gain in confidence I will be able to contribute to the forums with ideas.

use bricklink to buy pieces, it is complicated somewhat though. someone a couple pages back posted a pic of the wedge plates which are needed
