WickNole Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 (edited) This is the next chapter of Wick Nole's story. Introduction. [soNE Freebuild] The Story Begins Chapter 1. [soNE Freebuild] A Fine Delivery Chapter 2. [soNE Freebuild] Unexpected Arrival Chapter 3. [soNE Ep. VII] "Before we leave this planet..." Chapter 4. [soNE Ep. VIII] "This is not the race you are participating in." Chapter 5. [soNE Ep. IX] Gathering Intel -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Wick's group together with a number of rebel troops were deployed together with other teams to infiltrate the computer databases aboard the Suprosa. The target was simple: get to any mainframe terminal and look for any encoded information packages - then download whatever is found and retreat back to troop transport. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- We were able to clear some debris and enter the inner hangar bay where the working terminal was finally found. However, as it always happens... in just a few minutes everything went wrong... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- - "How much time do you need?!? We cannot hold them much longer! They will manage to open this blast door any moment now!" - "Hold them for a few more moments! I think I just found something!" - "The door is opening! I need every solder there! We need to hold against this counter-attack!" -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- And a few more close-ups. Lord Tyrus Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Nice build, I particularly like the wall details! Quote
Kodan Black Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Wow, that is really incredible. The base, the photography, the fantastic overall shape... all of it is great. Quote
Commander Beltar Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 This build is superb! Great take on a non-gray looking imperial area, all the details you put in are fantastic! Quote
Graham Gidman Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I always get excited when I see you've started a topic. Love the wall detailing, but the real winner here is the minifigure posing! Well done! Quote
Nom Carver Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 You rebels are putting quite a fight (You have made some awesome builds) but I am still worried that we haven't seen neither the commander briefing nor the transport, you must be up to something, you pesky rebels . Quote
Vedauwoo Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I really love the Ithorian's Assault Cannon... Quote
Zaael Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I really like your photography. I also like how the intersection worked out! Nicely done!! Quote
goatman461 Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 very cool design, the extra thick walls look nice, the color scheme seems more like a blend between Tantive 4 and the Death Star, but it certainly has a SW feel to it. Great posing on the minifigures, it looks very action-packed. I think you lost an opportunity to do something more interesting with the border, but the simplicity is good because it keeps the focus on the battle. excellent photography as always. great job Quote
MKJoshA Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I love the debris you have on the corner of the build. Makes the scene feel very realistic! Quote
WickNole Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 (edited) Thanks for all your kind comments. Unfortunately, I totally lost track of the deadline, and started building on Sunday only, so I was able only to work on the initial "corridor layout" idea. And for a good build you just need to let the creation stay on the desk for a few days (or weeks ) - and then the improvement ideas will certainly come up... but this time I just lost this opportunity to my time management. very cool design, the extra thick walls look nice, the color scheme seems more like a blend between Tantive 4 and the Death Star, but it certainly has a SW feel to it. I think you lost an opportunity to do something more interesting with the border, but the simplicity is good because it keeps the focus on the battle. excellent photography as always. great job Thanks. I remember some of the comments from Ep.VIII, I think, when someone mentioned that I should try to build in "true" minifigure scale, and not in the "playset" scale - so that's what I was attempting on this time: larger corridors, thicker walls, and more space. The colour scheme idea came from the observation that there's always too much LBG and DBG in the Imperial interior builds, and I wanted to apply some of the ideas tested in AG in this build as well. And I just don't have enough black bricks to do the authentic black version (but certainly want to try this out now). I really like your photography. I also like how the intersection worked out! Nicely done!! Thank you once again for this Sunday comment on the WIP picture offering to try something different from simple corridor. Edited December 1, 2015 by WickNole Quote
