Lord Vladivus Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 The brave soldiers from Daydelon pour forth from Veggrfell, lead by the indomitable Jarl Snowy. Sir Glorfindel has ordered him to hold the town at all costs, but the Algus forces are unconcerned by the plain MItgardian steel wielded by most of the town guardsmen. A few of the Daydelon men, Snowy included, carry weapons forged in the dragonfire forges of the Nocturnian Resistance, delivered by Gorrian Ratback Dragon. Still the situation is bleak, and night is falling soon. The Mitgardian defenders: And the Algus attackers: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, my entry for Cat A. I had a right pain with photos, no matter what I did, the lighting sucked. Super grainy pictures result. UK winters aren't the best for photo taking, even going outside didn't help. soccerkid6 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Great snowy build, the stone wall looks quite sturdy and the tower is a nice addition I think having reddish brown beams at the corners of the house section would make it look even better. The stone gargoyle fits right in and all the figs look like dangerous warriors Quote

The minifigs on both sides are brilliant - where did you get the heads for the Algus? I was looking to build my own algus, but I am having a hard time finding some proper heads. The Nocturnian resistance must have plenty of weapons if they are able to export them - one should think they would need them for the civil war! Quote

The house section does need improvement, I think I might build a few Mitgardian houses to practice! @Blufiji, Thanks, I really struggled with the snow- it's the first time I've tried it in any sort of substantial way. @Bregir, cheers. As to the weapons, the Resistance is mindful of the rest of Historica. We cannot focus solely inwards, and each service rendered may result in an ally in the future, and the weapons may yet taste the blood of the Spire despots. Quote
