Posted December 2, 20159 yr Hello, everybody! Let me introduce my new MOC: The Big Spaceship. It is not inspired by movie or video game, so it has not got Prototype. Dimensions received approximately 80x60 cm (length x width). In my opinion, the form is quite original original, so I am satisfied with it) Top view: Bottom view: To turn it had to remove part of the lining and the central turbine, so the back stick beam to which it is attached;) The two sides have open trapdoors: One of them opened: The back side, you can see the turbine;) Вид спереди: Thats all, I hope you enjoed! Comments are welcome. My Flickr Edited December 2, 20159 yr by PolkovnikOnTheWhiteHorse
December 2, 20159 yr You know what I really like about this? For the engines and the rear body, you have made them using a basic octagonal shape using hinge bricks, but with everything added on around it, completely detracts from that and makes it look especially intricate. The plates and the method you have used to build this isn't smooth by any means (such as a typical SNOT build), BUT at the same time, it has what I'd imagine to be an authentic spaceship look, with a really nice shape, good placing and amount of greebles, and all the different angles that neatly adjoin the other surfaces. Really great job on this! What was your starting point to design/build this?
December 4, 20159 yr Author Thanks for everyone! I'm very glad you enjoyed! What was your starting point to design/build this? Here is some WIP photos: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6)
December 5, 20159 yr What a beauty! Smart model, proportionality, perfectly formed, a non-trivial, beautiful colors, perfect symmetry. Perhaps with this form no one has collected like a space ship in Lego. Interesting assembly technique, a large construction volume, excellent self-concept, beautiful detailed photo. With each repeated viewing of this work can be found to discover something new, interesting and worthy of the highest scores. This work is worthy of any page in any forum. May 6, 20168 yr I'm deeply impressed. What an amazing project. Could you maybe show us some of the plans for the construction ? Or make some more photos ? Because I can't figure out how you managed to do the engine section with those 1x4 bricks :D Anyway, I have the greatest respect for your work. p.s David Lynch would be proud ! ;D
May 6, 20168 yr Impressively detailed in all three dimensions, in a way that spaceship MOCs often aren't. Great stuff!
May 6, 20168 yr Awesome! I like the shape that you gave to it, plus all the detailes that you managed to put in it! Cpngratulations!
May 6, 20168 yr Nice design. Thanks for the various pictures of the building process. As someone who yet to build anything of that size, it nice to see how large ships like this are constructed.
May 6, 20168 yr This is incredible! I love the detailing and the shape achieved through a myriad of different building techniques. Great job!
May 9, 20168 yr This really lives up to it's name. I love how every square inch is covered in detail. All the piping adds a nice touch too. Really great build and highly original! Congratulations.
