So this is our main xenobiology lab here on Livgorn.

Wow, you managed to get all this set up already? We’ve only been in Andromeda for a couple of weeks!

Yes, well, Octan’s science department is known for its efficiency. Here, I’ll introduce you to Dr Johnson.

Good morning Dr Johnson, this is Big Sal. He’s a pilot who’s considering a career switch to science.

Oh, nice to meet you!

Dr, would you mind giving Sal a brief tour of the lab? I have some other business to attend to quickly.

Sure, no problem!

So you're a pilot, huh?

Yeah, but I had an accident a few weeks back – gate anomaly, y’know?

Ouch…

Yup. I was lucky to only lose an arm really, but there was a lot of nerve damage so they only managed to give me this crude thing as a replacement. I’m still a bit clumsy with it.

Too clumsy for piloting?

Yeah, though to be honest I’ve been thinking of getting into a less dangerous career for while. The accident was kinda the last straw I guess.

Ooh, what are these?

Legendary explorer Wick Nole brought them in from the swamps a few days ago. They seem to be surprisingly intelligent, though mostly harmless. Hey, Eddie, watch where you’re going with that-

Oh no! I’m so sorry! It’s this damn robot arm!

Hey, don’t worry about it. Accidents happen.

What’s that purple stuff? Will drinking it hurt the frogs?

It’s awesomnium serum. We don’t really know much about it yet, but what’s the worst that could happen?

Great job as usual!

I recognized the lab on the second picture (Johnson and the window). I was thinking about using that in my category A as it's one of my favorite AG builds but I wouldn't be able to do it justice. I'm happy you used it and now new members can read the original too.

Awesome build! When I was joining AG I was torn between two corporation. Then I saw your frog build. That build helped me decide on joining MANITS instead of the other corporation. I love the giant frogs!

Sorry Octan Sal for stealing your challenge thread but we have an important issue to settle here and you choosing Octan here or Kawashita having no players are in no way arguments against us.

Had I made this build for Kawashita I would have used a lizard instead and it would have grown into Godzilla to fight a security mech. Now that would have been awesome. Kawashita rule.

No problem, one of the points of the challenge is to get people reminiscing about their decision to sign up and choose a faction

After SpacerSteve left Spyrius he headed to Andromeda having heard about the opportunities there. It also put some space between him and Spyrius, which wasn't very pleased about his departure. He saw Octan and Kawashita job postings in the Andromeda paper. He couldn't join Kawashita because Kawashita supplied Unitron with their tech. Also he didn't have any Ninjago sets. He had an Octan resume filled out. When he was about to turn it in a shady character called him over. He explained that he could have real freedom and not be another cog in the machine. Also the stranger had a bribe bag with extra credits.

So yeah I almost joined Octan in the beginning. I was thinking of doing a flashback build at some point. I had built a SpacerSteve explorer before Andromeda's gate was announced. He looked like a mix between a Kawashita and Octan. I'll post him too one of these days.
