Governor Mister Phes Posted May 6, 2005 Governor Posted May 6, 2005 How depraved for attention would one need to be to keep a severed finger from its owner?
eDeevo Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 Ed, If this goes to court, no jury would award damages to someone that deliberatly prevented someone else to "keep" his finger ;) Sometimes the system really works ;) True, the system does work sometimes... It is just disheartening to see people think $$$ first & a person's health second... I am not ashamed to be associated with this country, just with people thta have that mentality ;) Life is Good.

Ed, Off course, why would be ashamed of being american????????? Some cases like the BMW case (5 million dollars for a brand new BMW that was repainted and BMW did not tell the buyer) or the Mc Donalds case (an old tart driving with her hot coffee between her legs, burned herself, duhhhhhh, and then win a couple of million dollars because the coffee was TOO hot) just make me want to scream... Oh well!!!! I still wonder where is that first finger from though *wacko*

I whole-heartedly agree, it makes me want to scream as well... *sing* Life is Good.
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 7, 2005 Governor Posted May 7, 2005 I still wonder where is that first finger from though *wacko* Now if this was in India it would be perfectly explainable... Why do I say this? Years ago my uncle went to India and volunteered with the Red Cross as a doctors assistant helping clean the wounds of patients on the side of the sreet. As there's a lot of poverty and lack of hygiene often these wounds would become really infected and fingers would often need to be amputated. They were amputated right there on the street, then the patient would proceed on their merry way! Strangely enough it didn't seem to hurt them. In India there are no boundries between the rich and poor areas, so just around the corner from this amputating service were 5 star hotels and restaraunts...

Governor Mister Phes Posted May 10, 2005 Governor Posted May 10, 2005 Master the art of overting your eyes. It will save you much trauma and much lunch.
xwingyoda Posted May 14, 2005 Author Posted May 14, 2005 Guys, Here is a fingertip about that Wendy story ( :-D ): "Police say the finger that a woman found in a bowl of chili came from an associate of her husband's who lost the digit in an industrial accident" We now know who's finger it is!!!!!!! As always you can read the story here: http://edition.cnn.com/2005/LAW/05/13/wend...r.ap/index.html Enjoy!!
xwingyoda Posted May 15, 2005 Author Posted May 15, 2005 The finger saga continues :-D Now we know how the finger got severed: "The finger that a woman claimed she found in a bowl of Wendy's chili was severed in the tailgate of a truck during a work accident, an employee of an asphalt company said" Why???? of course because of $$$$$$$$$: "Authorities believe the injured man gave the finger to Plascencia. Ayala is accused of trying to shake down the fast-food giant with a bogus tainted-food claim" LOL, this story gets amusing!!! As always read it here: http://edition.cnn.com/2005/US/05/15/chili...r.ap/index.html Enjoy!!!
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 16, 2005 Governor Posted May 16, 2005 "Here... Have this severed finger as a token of my appreciation for everything you've done for me"
xwingyoda Posted May 18, 2005 Author Posted May 18, 2005 "Here... Have this severed finger as a token of my appreciation for everything you've done for me" Phes, you're actually pretty close ;) "Shouey, of Worthington, Pennsylvania, said her son, Brian Paul Rossiter, 36, of Las Vegas, lost part of his finger in December in an accident at a paving company where he worked with James Plascencia, Ayala's husband. His hand got caught in a mechanical truck lift, she said" She said he gave it to Plascencia to settle a $50 debt How stupid can people be *wacko* As always enjoy this colorful story here: http://edition.cnn.com/2005/LAW/05/18/chil...r.ap/index.html
Wolf04 Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 There is something really shocking in the story and I read it over and over to make sure that I understood right. So a guy of the age of >>36<< lost his finger in a construction accident and his mother, >>39<<, used it as a scam at Wendy's.

Wolfie you're confusing characters: the 39 years old lady is the one who put the finger in the chilli and got arrested ;)
Wolf04 Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Ooops my bad, again. Stupid CNN. It was really confusing. It said mother and I saw the picture so I assumed that was a picture of his mother. Anyways, only an American would be stupid enough to do something like that.
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 19, 2005 Governor Posted May 19, 2005 Mr Wolf... Times the number of grannies you've gobbled up by 4 and that'll equal the number of severed fingers you've munched on...
chewie Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 It must be a conspiracy! Someone is trying to sabatoage Wendy's! Either that or one of the chili testers they employed has lepricy... wow hahaha ok im pretty sure that this post os amazingly old but wow when you said maby one of the chilli testers has leprecy i laughed soo hard wow i was starting to tear in the eye ;)
Governor Mister Phes Posted May 31, 2005 Governor Posted May 31, 2005 Now... Now... Laughing at those unfortunate creatures with leprosy isn't nice. But its something I'd do myself, and if I was a lepper I'd laugh myself to bits.
Mörs Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 Psh... there's much worse stuff going on... (WARNING: You're probably never going to eat at McDonald's after watching that! )
KimT Posted December 29, 2009 Posted December 29, 2009 No no no. No bumpin' very old threads like this.
