December 10, 20159 yr Neat review! I just wish that the Stormtroopers weren't battle scarred but other than that it looks like a great set. The shock trooper looks amazing and I'll be picking up multiples for that and an imperial crew is always welcome to fill up the Star Destroyer
December 10, 20159 yr New printed tiles! I have bought Brasso against battle damaged Stormies ;) Be sure to let us know how that works!
December 10, 20159 yr It is great to see the black cap on the imperial crewman, hopefully we will get a black uniformed officer one day soon. The torso on these ones is the same as the one in 75055. The grey capped ones are the Star Destroyer helmsmen, and the black capped ones are technical crew such as the scanning crew that boarded the Millennium Falcon.
December 10, 20159 yr We have a black uniformed female officer torso with insignia who could use the cap, at least. The original trilogy Imperials are pretty much a boys-only club, though. Also, there seem to be some black uniformed officers without isignia in the movies, so presumably there are some officer ranks that don't always display their insignia. The "you rebel scum" guy definitely seemed to be an officer in charge of people in that scene, and I don't believe he had a visible insignia. He can be created by using the black cap and any ordinary double-breasted navy trooper torso.
December 10, 20159 yr We have a black uniformed female officer torso with insignia who could use the cap, at least. Aww yeah! Juno Eclipse! One of the coolest Star Wars names ever? Probably. Her torso is probably my favorite Imperial torso besides Admiral Yularen. They are just so unique and awesome. I'm all for Imperials of both sexes, but it's just funny that reading EU stuff every other Imperial is a female, but none are to be seen in the OT. This problem is definitely going to be rectified by the Sequel trilogy, and hopefully Rogue One will save the OT.
December 10, 20159 yr We have a black uniformed female officer torso with insignia who could use the cap, at least. I forgot about that, it is an old print but better than nothing. I hope one day we get Jir, Praji or Tanbris though. These are supposedly non-commissioned officers and pop up lots of times in the movies in charge of stormtroopers and guards. Another use for the black cap is with the Imperial Security Bureau officers such as Admiral Yularen. He is seen wearing his in the corridor: Edited December 10, 20159 yr by TheBear
December 10, 20159 yr Another use for the black cap is with the Imperial Security Bureau officers such as Admiral Yularen. He is seen wearing his in the corridor: Whoa! Didn't know that! Totally gonna throw one of the several caps I plan on owning onto my Yularen minifig. Please stay on topic! What is this, one of the Rumors and Discussion threads? Besides, the conversation never got off-topic in the first place.
December 10, 20159 yr Indeed Juno Eclipse and EU is the topic... It's certainly more relevant to this thread than calling people out. Back "on topic", the shooter situation for these BPs seems sorta random... a spring brick in this one and a stud shooter on only one (only one!) side of the Rebel speeder. Edit: We certainly have plenty of Imperial uniforms in Lego form now, but we still need sideburns to go with them. Edited December 10, 20159 yr by Junior Shark
December 10, 20159 yr Definitely getting a few of these. I don't mind the battle damaged stormtroopers too much, they add variety, although they're not the best for army building.
December 10, 20159 yr Whoa! Didn't know that! Totally gonna throw one of the several caps I plan on owning onto my Yularen minifig. Yeah, I plan to buy several of this set just for the caps as soon as it comes out.
December 10, 20159 yr I'd say I'd wait for them to turn up on Bricklink, but based on this thread alone I think they're going to be the only part of the set not on there!
December 10, 20159 yr Yeah, I plan to buy several of this set just for the caps as soon as it comes out. Yeah, 2016 is gonna be a real problem for me. I think I have to buy at least two of all the BPs, and even more of this one specifically. I'd say I'd wait for them to turn up on Bricklink, but based on this thread alone I think they're going to be the only part of the set not on there! Lolz
December 11, 20159 yr Whoa! Didn't know that! Totally gonna throw one of the several caps I plan on owning onto my Yularen minifig. ...don't forget to put black pants on him, too, if you've yet to do so! (you can barely see the pants--via being dark--below the tunics of Yularen & his subordinate there) Juno's not off-topic when we're discussing uses of the black cap in this BP... this isn't some TFn thread where "no EU discussion is allowed at all". Wish they'd introduced this last year with the SD Microfighter! Neat little BP, if not perfect (the Alliance one comes closer to perfection)
December 11, 20159 yr Definitely getting a few of these. I don't mind the battle damaged stormtroopers too much, they add variety, although they're not the best for army building. Maybe those battle damaged TK's will do as either in the being killed state or as battle fatalities... Who knows? It's certainly more relevant to this thread than calling people out. Edit: We certainly have plenty of Imperial uniforms in Lego form now, but we still need sideburns to go with them. I'd somehow agree. The spring shooter makes the platform look more like a turret... Also, having a single blaster on the Rebel speeder is somehow no surprise for me. Remember, the Imperial speeder bikes on Endor also had only one blaster cannon, which is weak in my opinion when compared to the BARC Speeder which has 2...

(you can barely see the pants--via being dark--below the tunics of Yularen & his subordinate there) Neat little BP, if not perfect (the Alliance one comes closer to perfection) What on earth? [Leaves to find black pants] And yeah, Alliance one is more or less perfect. Also, having a single blaster on the Rebel speeder is somehow no surprise for me. Remember, the Imperial speeder bikes on Endor also had only one blaster cannon, which is weak in my opinion when compared to the BARC Speeder which has 2... I think you misunderstand... the Rebel speeder only has a blaster on one side of it. It's asymmetrical. Look at these two pictures, notice the stud shooter on only one side.
December 11, 20159 yr I thought you were talking about the one mounted on the back! Hadn't noticed the one on the front side... yeah, that's weird. Ah well, that's what modding's for!

December 11, 20159 yr I already saw it on the art for the box for that set... The Imperial Speeder Bike's blaster cannon is mounted under the swoop, not on the side like the Rebel speeder here... I think you still misunderstand. Of course I realize that the Imperial speeder bike has only one blaster mounted underneath the chassis. Also, having a single blaster on the Rebel speeder is somehow no surprise for me. The Rebel speeder has the rear-facing stud shooter on the back, and another on the right side. Take another look at both of the pictures I linked here: I think you misunderstand... the Rebel speeder only has a blaster on one side of it. It's asymmetrical. Look at these two pictures, notice the stud shooter on only one side. You'll notice that the Rebel speeder has a stud shooter on it's right side, but not on it's left. That means it's strangely and inexplicably asymmetrical. Lego has always made it a point to have perfect symmetry when it comes to shooters, whether they be flick-fire, stud, or spring-loaded. I hope I've been able to finally clear up any confusion I may have caused!

December 12, 20159 yr The rear-facing shooter suggests that this speeder is something TLG designed as a unique vehicle, to give it not only offensive but also defensive firepower... Are you even reading what I'm posting? I never wanted to discuss the merits of the Star Wars galaxy's industrial design philosophy. I merely wanted to point out the quirkiness of the Lego model itself, being asymmetrical.
