That's interesting! Is her torso piece for sale?

I know I'm cheap, but all I really want from that set is America Chavez, because I have Wong and Strange already from other sets. I still haven't bought Gargantos, because I was hoping it would go on sale for a discounted price. Let me know, if it's 20% off I might consider getting it. I heard this set and the other smaller mechs all have stability issues, is that true?

Her head is the only unique minifigure piece available from that set.

The set has a build issue where two parts can't fully connect the way the instructions have them, but it doesn't effect the set's overall stability or being able to complete it. Brickset documented it: https://brickset.com/article/68334/possible-design-flaw-found-in-2022-super-heroes-set

Yw! When I joined I had to wait to be accepted. I forgot to mention that the Superman hair in lighter color (brick.yel maybe?) was available and in stock. It's some new Friends sets

Not necessarily new but a compilation of yellow heads for kids. I'm sure I missed some. Perhaps it'll be useful to some and let me know if I'm straying from the purpose of this thread.

I know that some people buy complete or nearly complete minifigures from Lego Bricks and Pieces. Is that true? If so, it would probably be cheaper than buying the set with that character in it.

Yeah it’s what i am doing! But B&P will not have some minifigure parts. Not just minifigures, I’m collecting some animals, such as lion, lion cub, horse, elephant and its calf, more. :)

I didn't know they offered Lego animals, I should really start using it! I don't have lions or elephants in Lego yet, but I have some horses, dinosaurs, dragons, monkeys, snakes, aliens, crabs, rats, bunnies, and parrots.

Just FYI — it’s little weird to see elephant head in stock but body is not in stock yet.  I’m not exactly sure why the elephant body is still out of stock.

That's weird, so sometimes you might get stuck buying the elephant head and other times you might get stuck buying the elephant rump. Hopefully I'll see both parts of the elephant in stock soon! Elephants are beautiful creatures, I live not too far from a zoo and my family loves seeing the elephants

Agreed - I don’t understand why there are so many elephant heads while bodies are less. Probably, some people have idea of using these heads as mounted heads for their MOCs (*shudders*). I hope elephant body will come in stock so you can buy it!

That's so sweet! I guess I'll keep a look out for it, but feel free to message me directly if you see the elephant body back in stock. It's funny that Lego has more elephant heads in stock, when both the body and the head should've been produced at the same quantity. It amazes me that someone would only want an elephant body or head, because mounting an elephant head is kinda sad. Maybe they want the tusks, I don't know.

One Lego animal I had my eye on is that new Lego toucan from series 22, but I never pushed myself to getting one of those birdwatcher minifigures yet. Would one of those toucans be on Lego Bricks and Pieces, or does Lego avoid putting CMF parts on there?

I checked that CMF series few days ago and I don’t see any toucan or foal. Only I can see is trash bin, shoulder bag, bamboo piece, carrot, tail piece, and a few more. I can see a few legs and some hairpieces and hats. But no toucan or foal. :(

This is purely speculation, but it may well be down to production time or storage volume. They may have limited time on the moulding/production machines for each part, and if the bodies take more time to produce, they can do fewer of them in each batch.

Or they may produce as many parts as fit into their storage containers. The bodies are far larger than the heads, so they produce more heads purley so that they can fill the storage bins, and then do body production more frequently. Changing the mold and ABS colour likely takes a while and requires a pause in production, so they maximize what they get from each run.

Whatever the case, there will definitely be a reason that this is more efficient for them, than doing a 1:1 match of piece numbers.

I've been buying the Monkey Kid villains recently. The figures are much cheaper than sets however the hear gear is big bucks.

There are now two wheelchairs, the standard one (in grey or red) and the racing one. The standard one is usually available on B&P though you can’t always fine all the parts in stock at once! 

As to the toucan and foal - honestly your best bet just now is trying to source the CMFs. They will likely show up again somewhere and somehow, and may be in B&P if they are in ‘normal’ sets, but there’s not absolute guarantee - especially not in the colours they appear in CMF 22. 

Thus far the pattern is that CMF animals in unlicensed sets have shown up in sets or BAM, eventually. But not all have yet, and often the CMF colour or print is unique.

While placing an order yesterday I noticed a new number for dual molded legs.

The old number is 21019 and has most of the dual legs. But the new one is 79690 and has 3 options.

Same with the dual molded arms/torsos. Old number is 16360. The new number is 78568 and has only 1 piece right now.

Wouldn't be surprised if they are phasing in a new element ID and that the newer number will be where all the dual molded parts get placed.

I've been doing the same since the first wave but some of the parts aren't available top purchase like shoulder armour and fabric pieces.
