I usually do more reading than posting, but had to log in to share this....

I was checking on the status of horses in LEGO BAP (USA) and saw the reddish brown horse was available again (it wasn't last week):

It is this one here, which was last used in 2019, so I am wondering if a new set is going to have this horse?

 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=10352c01pb01#T=C

*oh2* Nice find, it must be rare that a part shows up before a set?!
It is even more expensive than the other horses  It shows up in older sets with it, but it could be some minor differences to them. The white one was not exactly the same when in pop up again, however I see that they have 2 different listings in there so could be the same. Anyway this is good news, maybe a limited farm set we do not know about yet or a the 90 years set if it is Castle :sweet:

Came on here to let people know about the horses but looks like others already spotted it! :D

Although seems to glitch and won't allow me to confirm order, could just be an issue on my end...

Hope it means 90th anniversary or farm sets revealing soon! My guess is 90th anniversary :pirate:

I've noticed that the hairpieces designed for Friends, while they are now hard plastic and also designed to work with Minifigures, the hair line dips a bit low, definitely lower than hairpieces designed for minifigures. They still look good though.

Could you post some pictures of the Friends hairpieces on minifigures? I’m curious to see how “off” they look.

I got mine today, thinking the same - how will the new hat/hair pieces look on minifigs rather than minidolls? They are great, honestly much better than I expected. Gonna order a bunch more in the other colours too!

None of you have ever used Friends hair on minifigures?! *oh2*

I own dozens of Friends sets, just for the pieces. I take the minidolls hairs and then thrown the useless minidoll in the trash a plastic bin, all bald. They have worked fine for the whole 10 year life of Friends.

My order from Jan 16 arrived today:

That's the green torso I ordered and LEGO sent the Hulk one instead.

I sent an order of broken / missing pieces. It's probably been 3+ years since I have so it was 25 pieces and I still forgot the screwed up crosswalk and another piece. :wall:

I only have 3 of the new ones and just placed them on random minifigs

Here's my loot shot of my Jan 11th order:

Nice! I see several parts I need to add to future orders. What's the very red hairpiece (near top right)?

Also I forgot about that shorter brick

It's from the CMF Chili Girl, part 6369792.

While looking that up I noticed that the Bard's Lute is now available: part 6371952

Those torso from the Chinese New Years Fest are great.

Agreed! I need one of those torsos. What are the printed 1x1 black round tiles?

I know they work, but they don’t always look great. In my experience a lot of minidoll hair pieces make minifigs look blocky and frumpy, whereas the opposite is never true - minifig hair works just fine on the minidolls and never looks out of proportion.

I think they all look fine on everything.

You're right, we should do away with the minifigure and make them all minidolls...

I always forget what I order when I order it, so I'll have to see if I grabbed any of those Friends hairpieces, but they look great.

Its just a matter of personal opinion I guess. Agree that I have a few that look odd and I don't use but 90% or more I really like and just in my opinion look great and I don't regret paying $1 and more for.

To emphasize the matter of personal opinion... this is coming from someone that hates the hinged Ironman helmet. See others voicing their preference for it over the unhinged one. Imo the hinged one is comically over sized and although it opens (fun feature) I hate it. To heap further hate upon myself... I'm sick of Ironman (both in film and LEGO sets).

Don't want to derail the thread tho with my opinion of Ironman just pointing out the varying opinions we all have of things (specifically the minidolls and their hair parts). Agree that minifig hair works as well on minidolls (if not better) 😊

I agree with that. The new Friends hair combo with fedora hat seems to be a bit too big for the minifig head: the hair part works fine, but the hat part is too big. Just compare it to the minifig fedora hat (right). The ponytail hair piece (in the middle) works fine. The hair combo with pith helmet (left) was introduced with CMF series 13 and reused in the Friends set 41437.

That's part ID 6381395 (from set 42137 as it seems).

With the last years Amelia Earhart set (40450) the minifig parts became available just a few weeks after the release of the set. So I hope it will be the same with the Jane Goodall minifig.

OMG middle of January orders barely getting shipped?  Thank goodness I’m not much in a hurry to get the stuff I bought recently, then again I thought the shipping estimate warning was just a placeholder haha

I know 😭 And I'm struggling to keep track of what orders arrived after being shipped (in case an order is lost) plus remembering what I've already ordered. Im sure I'll discover that I ordered duplicates of some and left out other items completely lol. This is the way. I shouldnt complain about such minor inconveniences considering hardships others are enduring but yes its killing me waiting and checking the mail daily

It's now been 8 weeks for my Jan. 10 order.  USPS claims it arrived in Denver Saturday but they haven't received it from the Shipping Partner Facility yet.  I think this is the longest I've ever waited.  I have to keep referring back to my orders to try not to buy things I already have ordered.  I keep missing things though because I've started some orders and never completed them due to some parts I really want having been out of stock at the time I was looking or accidentally closing the page & loosing the whole cart.  I really need to organize & keep better lists.

Posted

Karrit - yeah, a list is the way I order and keep track.

Columns with "Name", "ID", "Quantity", "Ordered (date)", "Arrived/Delivered (date)".  One can simply keep adding to it as new products are released or if you want them...

Posted

I've made lists where I write down the ID number with a brief description with all of my wanted pieces. Then when I order it, I just place a check next to it. I have been known to write OOS (out of stock) if it is next to a piece I really want so I know to look for that one first the next time.

I don't know how well it works because I think I still re-order stuff since it takes so long in-between orders and once I receive stuff I get rid of the list since I wouldn't need it anymore. But then I forget what I ordered and order a second copy. It really only becomes a problem with new minifigure torsos or some of the Chinese printed tiles.
