I got ice sculptor (minus hairpiece) from Chinese New Year Ice Festival set and egg splats from City theme. 

I also keep an Excel list of everything I've ordered, along with the date ordered and whether it has arrived. I also use it to note the pieces I want ahead of the next order (element number, colour (because it's useful to quickly see things), number, price, basic description of the part, and, if it's for a MOC or something to complete a partial set, what it's for and in some cases the page/step number in the instructions - that's saved me a lot of time!). Although in the flurry of new stuff being released for the start of the year I did order a few bits without noting them down, and the ordered the same thing again next time. But it's only an extra couple of pieces and they'll all be useful somewhere. Excel for the win!

The state of B&P is kind of weird right now.

Netherlands uses the new system. None of the new March pieces are available, so I called. The LEGO-employee was super helpful, but he had no idea why I couldn't order them online because I could order all those pieces by phone. Nice surprise: I was able to order the elephant body this way. Not so nice surprise: shipping costs increased from €1,80 to €6,00 on all orders...

Then I received the invoice for my Jan 24 order. It was less then I ordered. Checked the status of my order: some pieces shipped, other still in warehouse. Never had this happen, but shipping costs were reduced. Strange though.

 

Funny after mentioning the agony of waiting my Jan 16th order arrived. My Jan 21 order switched over to shipped (like someone else mentioned). Still waiting for orders Jan 24th and onwards to ship

@bountybosskIm glad that you were able to get elephants!!! Also sorry that the system there is so strange at the moment. Hopefully it's only temporary. For your sake (and mine 😁 bc I don't want this to be the norm here or in other places). So strange that you were able to get parts by phone but not by ordering online. Thanks for sharing!

@karrit hope that order arrives soon! My Jan 16th order that just arrived was a very large order so perhaps that's why it was delayed longer than some of my others

Good ideas for those sharing about keeping lists (and Excel especially). I do keep lists but still working out what is best for me. Bc it sometimes crashes before order is completed I usually write down item number, color & quantity as I work thru my order. But I might change quantity or remove items from order and neglect to change on my paper record. Organization isn't my best strength but I'm making adjustments to improve 😄 

Also bc it sometimes crashes (or something less than awesome happens) I often screenshot portions of my cart as I go just in case it is lost. Can refer to screenshots for item numbers etc

It's pretty normal for people to only be able to get certain parts by calling in. Usually animals have followed this rule. For example, way back you could order the mammoth only by calling in and asking to buy it. It never showed up online.

Yeah I agree. I have friends that were able to do the same with the Mammoth and others. Unfortunately with the elephant bodies I'm noticing mixed results. Occasionally some are successful  but most are not. At least most that are sharing their experiences are unsuccessful.

I mentioned earlier that when I tried I was told that the elephant bodies were out of stock but they were expecting replenishment mid Dec 2021. This was about 4 weeks  before mid Dec. The order (by phone) was placed for those plus others to get gwp. About a week later LEGO sent email stating they were unavailable and removed from my order. 

I'm always glad to see others be successful with ordering them and appreciate others sharing experiences so that others can gain insight.

Thanks @teamzissou my parts order did finally arrive today.  Now to go through it to make sure everything is there.

I know... I've been delinquent (aka busy). Hopefully tonight I'll snap some pictures.

Weirdly, I got the invoice email for my January 24 order, but it was lower than the order total, and the order hadn't changed to Shipped. Now a day later I've gotten another invoice, just for one pack of the prepack Ninjago weapons (in titanium metallic), and the order has changed to Shipped. Strange.

If it's the Monkie Kid theme head just above Sandy's head I THINK its 89611 from the mech set. Listed as Nougat color

I think you mean part ID 81169, but yes it's the head of Macaque from set 80033. I got a bunch of stuff from that set: Macaque's scarf, torso and legs too, the head of his minions, and Sandy's head and beard.

Yikes. I got the numbers reversed didnt I? Love the legs/torso of Macaque. Nice armor printing for medieval or fantasy in the future. The shoulder scarf too! Also love the torso from City Stuntz (with the skull). I like the head from that minifig also. 

What's the hairpiece on top left? The dark brown one above the one with yellow band

It's Part ID 53126, new in dark brown in 41695 Pet Clinic.

I took advantage of Rakuten giving 10% cashback to get something before stock goes during double VIP. Amazingly a few things I wanted in Bricks and Pieces were back in stock. But then I felt guilty about ordering four pieces, so got another sea turtle and another 100 stud leaves of various colors, including white that is back in stock.

Still the old system, and a reducing selection of things in Pick a Brick.

1st time catching this armor piece in stock! I think it has been in a few past Ninjago sets. Currently used for henchmen in new Monkie Kid sets. It goes over one shoulder only and has 2 spikes. It's dark but not black. I believe its Titan.met

Those kittens sure are tiny!  But I did order a few more and more squirrels.  Now I need to put together another order for when double points goes live on Saturday including the red brown horses.  I wonder how those blue skull torsos might work for some Death Eaters.

UGH - In US and can't order right now.  I hope they fix it before double points...

Yesterday it just said coming soon so I figured it might happen next week.  Too bad they decided to break it for the VIP double points promo.  Hopefully it won't take too long to come back up.

Thank you both. Dark orange and nougat seem to be very similar.

Maybe they chose this time because of Double Points. Just another way to stick it to the customer. *shrug*

I ordered days ago when it was the old way. I guess we will see how the new way goes. I'm expecting smooth sailing going forward since there are never any bugs to work out...

Yeah. Fingers crossed. I'll carry on planning my order just in case it pops back up during 2xVIP

When is the build a minifigure supposed to come out?
