Although about 3 days after it was missing I found it in the kitchen. I have used the missing bricks section quite often though. Mainly due to damaged sticker sets, although I have also had about 5 replaced large transparent pieces and a couple of large black pieces replaced due to scratching. I also had one piece which looked like it had either melted, or didn't have enough plastic in the mold to make the complete piece. I've had melted pieces in a LEGO Movie 2 set. That was my first issue in 10 years. Now, there are issues all the time. A few times being you think you have a missing piece and it's just in the wrong bag. Also I'm in the USA, the Mexico plant is well known to have issues. LEGO needs to get people there and start fixing the issues. 11 hours ago, Clone OPatra said: I said not many, compared to some people. Around 10-15 sets a year I'd say, and I haven't experienced any issues. Are they big sets? Small sets I never have issues with, larger sets I always do have issues with. None of the sets are less than $99.99 I've had issues with recently besides LEGO not using enough printing on the minifigures. Quote
Dadster Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 Just spent a good bit of time going through all 600 pages of the new "pick-a-brick"... slow day at work lol... Lots of Technic "style" pieces are listed as bestsellers. The cheapest pieces are 1x1 round smooth (basic colors such as red, orange, etc.) at $.03 each. Surprised a bit by available pieces such as Santa's Nice List tile, x-mas elf torso (green w/ three points/ bells) and a round 1x1 tile which I call "x-mas cookie" (white w/ sprinkles). Quote

While I haven't had quite as bad of an experience, I have noticed here in the US many more small issues with the sets I buy, especially ones that I purchased May-Dec 2021. I had 3 sets that had a missing part, a part in the incorrect color, and parts in the wrong bag. I assumed it had to do with production issues, maybe struggling to meet demand last year. I haven't had any issues recently, but I haven't been buying as many sets either. I've heard others mention similar issues as well. Edit to add, that I had never experienced a missing or damaged part previously to this Edited March 18, 2022 by Themiddlebrick Quote

You can buy the grills for some of the Mickey Mouse vehicles but not the minifig heads or a few other pieces. Harry Potter some torsos & even some heads but not all. Ditto for Star Wars. It could well be that Disney do not care too much about the grills but do care about their iconic character heads. I doubt people are buying grills so they don't need to buy the set, whereas the minifig heads are probably the most sought after parts and people won't need to buy the set if they can get Mickey and friends in another way. Some licensed printed parts slip through, not so often these days (it's been a long time since the sold all the Ghostbusters torsos at 5p/5c each and heads at 19p/25c or so), but usually get removed. It may be that some minifig heads are not restricted especially when they are used in multiple themes for generic characters rather than designed for a specific character in one theme. 2 hours ago, Mr Ogel said: you can simply change the url: e.g. from de-de to en-us or en-gb -that works very well ... Sometimes it still sticks, even if you change the url. You need to delete the lego cookies to completely reset it. I got stuck in the Czech site last week and had to do that. Quote

I know Cobi has one, but parts are pretty expensive, and AFAIK the colors aren't even compatible. I've never found a place that was selling any of those special parts (indeed lots of great, chainable slopes, stud inverters & all) individually. For years I've been buying in China and I'm pretty happy with the quality, but I wouldn't count those as "brands" because they're not branded and you never know who produced the parts. They're also not much cheaper, so I sometimes feel silly for buying clones at Lego prices, except that they buy me months of delays, that's precious enough. If Lego produces a recolor, by the time I'll spot it on promo pictures, it's gonna take like 2 months for the sets to be released, a week (or possibly months again now) for them to be sold, and another month or more for the delivery. Instead of waiting, I've already bought the recolor as a clone and I can use it right away as it's now "proper Lego". And if Lego isn't happy with that, well take my money, but you don't seem to want it. (that being said, I spend so much more in sets than parts, that's why they just don't need to care) I've ben censored multiple times for mentioning the names of other companies. But if I don't name them I guess it's a loophole? To be honest I get it. Any other brand I know - no matter how they try to put it, they are all related somehow with factories or subbrands that steal from Lego and fans. Whether it's MOC's or just the molds by Lego. So I guess noone has the moral highground. Anyone does what they can to make a profit. And again TLG is a company, we have no place of power. We can only buy or not buy. And arguably Lego could make more money if from 1000 people 100 buy 1-3 sets with kittens in them instead of 500 getting them online, sometimes in absurd orders of 100 sheeps and or kittens for one person. I think it was a nice service, I never understood why they did it or if it was actually profitable. Anyway if you research about other companies in Europe, you'll find a lot of stuff. Some is 10% the price of Lego, some is almost the same price. Some stuff they don't have (especially everything related with figures or prints) but they have some stuff you'll never see from Lego - mainly recoloured ball joints (my god could we just get them in white, brown and black??!). They have those joints in like all kinds of colours. Quote

The Stuntz bikes had an issue only in Americas. Jang from JangBricks said there aren't as many issues in Europe according to messages he has gotten. He's in the USA too. However some of the printing still sucks in Europe because of the fact old Bricks and Pieces came from Europe. 80024, Flower Fruit Mountain I got on ebay for super cheap ($90USD) and mine had the 8x16 plat in bag 8, when needed in bag 7. They sold another one and it was loose. So I don't even know if it's the same in each batch. However the Frozen issue I had was WELL talked about in Amazon reviews. RichardGoring Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 There is a new Pick & Build Hub page on the LEGO website - Pick and Build | Official LEGO® Shop US That has a short video about how Pick a Brick works (which is very vague, but fun) - https://www.lego.com/cdn/cs/set/assets/bltc0add98c97e35d0e/02.06.21_LEGO_PickaBrick_v2.mp4 And a super helpful wheel and tyre matching guide - Matching tires, rims and axles - Help Topics - Customer Service - LEGO.com US I've also noticed that the price of the 32607 three leaf studs has increased from $0.05 the other day to $0.06 today. Are they going to change things frequently, or is this just initial price adjustment, I wonder? Quote

The original reason they did the Replacement Parts service was so people could buy replacement parts if they had lost or broken them. It became more popular when people realised you could buy multiple parts for MOCs or other uses that were otherwise hard to get. 33 minutes ago, Pchan1983 said: My Jan 11th and 13th order arrived. BrickMatit Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 My 1st February order, sent on monday, arrived yesterday Pick a Brick (1) by Brick Matit, su Flickr Taking a look into the new Pick a Brick portal, italian version, these are pieces I haven't found: Mini Upper Part n.5981, code 6390070; Mini Feather, code 6406417; Chicken, code 6063275; Mini Head n.2589, code 6223923; Cape, code 6346533; Mini Upper Part n.5960, code 6387922; Mini Upper Part n.5890, code 6385228; Tile Round 2x2 n.1231, code 6366174; Tile Round 1x1 n.181, code 6371568; Mini Hat n.56, code 6391870; Apart the Cape, coming from 2021 Marvel Studios series, all of these pieces appear in 2022 sets. Between the latter, only the Chicken and the Mini Head appeared even in older sets, while other pieces are only from 2022 sets. As for prices (excluding pieces no more available) in general with new ones I would have ended paying 62,71€ versus 61,84€ (2% more), just for the pieces. The biggest absolute increase for the Bunny piece (2,56€ versus 2,34€, 9,4% more), in percentage for the Wheel (0,37€ versus 0,45€, 21% more); the biggest absolute reduction for the Blacksmith banner (0,6€ versus 0,76€, 21% less), in percentage for the Corner Tile (0,06€ versus 0,09€, 33% less). In the end, I don't know if this long dissertation has been useful at least I hope not to be wrong with my calculations (yeah, I was not so good in Maths at school ). Quote
lowbike1 Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 on the CDN site, you can search the pieces, but it doesn't add them to the cart when you "pick" them, anyone else have this issue? Quote

Upon returning to research parts I noticed that items were still there as if I never added to cart. I double checked my order confirmation email and they were indeed added to the order. BitByBrick Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 Went on the site to browse, everything was in £ Luckily I was able to figure out how to switch back to the US site. That hasn’t happened to me before. Must be a glitch in the new system. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted March 19, 2022 Posted March 19, 2022 So far I like the new set up. Not a fan of the higher prices (even if small, like all the torsos are now 9 cents more expensive). It adds up over time. I like being able to sort/buy by category instead of only piece ID number or set number. That helps a lot! Too bad about the 2022 pieces not being around, but I'm sure they will show up eventually. Likely not releasing them so people will either be forced to buy the set or wait it out. Plus also likely helps with a sudden rush to the system while they are trying to get bugs worked out/backlogged orders out/shipping delays/etc. Quote
