It’s all speculation at this point, who even knows if one package contains all 3 capes, otherwise they would had sold us one package rather than 3, I mean granted the shipping estimate gave me the same detail but I’m not holding out on anything, I paid for all 2 flags and 1 cape individually thinking they were separate, maybe that was LEGO’s intention.

Bricklink is owned by LEGO now, so they make profit indirectly from them.  There’s no escaping the third party bricks anymore, unless you go through brick owl, etc.

My December 13th order came today so that was better than two months.  But I bought 10 dark bley classic space helmets, I thought they were black. I didn't even know they came in dark grey.

And what has Bricklink with this to do? Sometimes it is better to Bricklink, sometimes better to buy from LEGO.

The price of new "set unique" parts seem to strangely align with the (albeit lowest) ones on BL now, which is something Lego can do now that they release them months after they've been sold on BL.

BL prices are purely based on offer & demand, Lego's ones are the worst of both worlds, the highest of demand and production cost. But where the difference is is that it's Lego itself that creates the offer, they control it all. There are reasons for 3 bits of cloths to be worth 12 bucks on BrickLink, because no seller on BL controls the production.
Lots of large parts that no MOCer wants, can be found for 1 cent on BL, and 1 buck on B&P. Lego is never gonna sell them for 1 cent, they just won't produce them if there's no one to buy. But on BL sellers are left with those parts, if no one wants them then they have to go for nothing.
Then you have rare parts that BL sellers sell for big bucks, and now Lego can align to those prices as well. It's the best for BL sellers I guess, but not for buyers. We're only lucky that sometimes they decide to produce more of a non-licensed, useful part that's only found in one set, & break the BL prices.

Personally it doesn't bother me that much because I'm more a MOCer than a collector and I've never much cared about Lego animals (I feel sorry for collectors with those horrible prices) and as for printed parts it's often cheaper to get something custom-printed than to buy a Lego one anyway (and yeah custom UV prints aren't as good as pad prints, but I don't know what's worth between a UV print and a misaligned pad-printed Lego). But it bothers me when they release a useful, basic part, and artificially keep the prices high. Like for the new 1x5 plates, which I ended up buying in China (and before someone accuses me of talking about clones again, I'll remind that 1x5 plates have existed as other brands way before Lego, so technically Lego is the ripoff here, and I bought the legit ones lol. But hey I'd have preferred to buy Lego ones)

It is interesting that they put the multipack cloth parts up at all, but especially as individual items rather than the box. I guess it is because their inventories have these as individual parts and not the element ID for the box.

Regarding capes, the pack of 4 cloth parts from the Hogwarts castle D2C was available on B&P but listed as individual capes etc. without knowing this i added a couple of brown capes and a black one etc to my basket thinking they were individual and what ended up arriving I think was several pre-packed cape boxes each including inside Slytherin’s collar part, so I had more capes in the end than I originally thought I ordered. After checking the cereal number on the cape box I realised what set stock it was from and then it made sense

There are definitely instances where parts are cheaper on Bricklink than on B&P and instances where parts are cheaper on B&P than on Bricklink.

This is true, and it's worth pointing out that there's a Chrome extension called brickhunter that allows you to do price comparisons against BL on PAB, as well as purchase a wanted list from PAB (and export an updated xml to buy only the cheaper parts on BL).  It's insanely useful, even if the learning curve is a bit steep.

If you buy any one of those 3 fabric parts (the 2 flags or the cape) you actually get a cardboard box with all 3 (which is how it comes in the set). That's why the price is as high as it is.

I just looked at my order and it looks like you're right. After you buy it, it shows all three have the same SKU and the description lists all three items. It's still pretty steep, but it's low enough that I'm willing to pay the price to stock up on them. I have three packs ordered so far (plus ten for a friend). I'll probably get a few more whenever the space torsos are available.

I also ordered a couple different capes to see if I get more than one. I got one black spongey cape and one black starched one.

Let us know if you do so we know which capes to buy :classic:

Did you get a confirmation of this somewhere, or is this just speculation?

I ordered one of each today just to see what I actually receive. I hope each is a three pack.

My receipt is also showing that I will receive 2 banners & 1 cape for each of the three separate items I ordered.  I think if they are still available next time I place an order I may add a couple more, not too bad a price to get all three pieces.

Same! My Dec 5th order arrived today with two dark grey classic space helmets, and I also thought I'd ordered black. I'm fairly sure there wasn't an image when I ordered, but the colour said black. However, there are now both black and dark grey ones - with images - on Pick a Brick. And my order has the dark grey code. Really curious.

I have one or two classic black ones from back in the day, but they have the classic cracked chin. I can wait to replace them though.

They come in Dark Grey in a city or Creator 3-in-1 diving set. It's used as a helmet on an underwater skeleton.

Yeah I had to Brickset it. Never knew the new ones could old the visors so I'm good with them. I'll use them for something, maybe a statue.

Weird that the air tank isn't dark bley.

I checked my orders and half my orders from January are not Partially Shipped/Backordered now.  😬

I’m thinking Backordered because nothing’s been shipped according my Shipping service and I never got the email shipping receipt from Lego.

those were my Lego castle parts one of them being all visirs!

It’s a first for me though

And now the whole PAB UI is gone  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

So either they are working on adding loads of new parts or they have totally broken it. It could be good or it could be bad!

That's the head from the cancelled Overwatch 2 set too.

indeed, could be the reason
But since the pretzel is featured in The Office set, I assume the source is that one.

Edit: ah, parts are coming
Most non-licensed parts from october seem to be there, except a few. Like, the mirror of this for some reason

Also this is a pretty strange part. One end fits an existing curve, but the other doesn't. I hope they plan to release a new curve that fits.
