MKJoshA Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Wow, almost 1000 new parts added! I'm shocked but pleased to see almost all the unique pieces for the underwater Monkie Kid set. Can't wait for all the animals to show-up in stock! Can all the scalpers please take this month off so we all get a chance to buy what we want in 1 order? Quote

Most of the animals that was added are sold out, TLG should have put a limit of say 20 per animal, only resellers buy 999 orcas instead maybe 500 orders could be filled with orcas instead of just 1 reseller order Quote

Anyway, these things always come back. I haven't yet had an experience where a part went out of stock forever due to resellers (or other factors). Quote

No,but it can be hard to fill up the cart with enough parts if they keep going out of stock, however if you can add the parts when they are in stock and keep them in the cart regardless of if they are in stock or not until you have a big enough order it is no problem Quote
Sir Dano Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 I keep getting "Access denied" errors, very annoying. Quote

It would take a brave reseller to buy 999 at those prices. And why limit to 20? How many people really need 20 of them? Resellers or people wanting more than 20 to use would just place multiple orders. For many of the animals, the prices mean that 20 is almost enough to hit free shipping anyway, so splitting an order will soon get around the limit per order. Quote

(Just to use it as the example). Or has it been out-of-stock the entire time since being listed? Quote

MKJoshA Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 And almost everything but the Orca body just went live in France. Quote
Roebuck Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 Did not work to check out with the animals in my cart no longer in stock unfortunately, but I managed to get over the threshold for a couple of VIP bags.. Quote

I don't know what it is like elsewhere, but in the UK all the promotions have this in the terms and conditions "Pick a Brick (Standard) orders are not valid for this promotion." They are still being added just fine, but hopefully won't be acted on in future. The £45 threshold to get those two VIP poly bags is quite nice, although I typically go for an extra fivers worth to get to £50 for free shipping too. Quote

Can confirm on a US order the VIP pack added to the cart automatically with just a Pick a Brick order. And for those wondering, it let me proceed to my cart, but got rid of the out of stock items (which it wouldn't let me manually delete). That was a marathon looking up all those codes for parts without images. Quote

When the bag was added to the cart, suddenly the cost of it was much lower so I assumed they where gone. Tried to open it and edit it, but did not work. So if only you have a few/cheap parts missing It could be hard to notice if you do not pay attention. 6 minutes ago, MAB said: I don't know what it is like elsewhere, but in the UK all the promotions have this in the terms and conditions "Pick a Brick (Standard) orders are not valid for this promotion." It is more or less the same here, but you will get the GWP. If they start to enforce the rule I will change my shopping habits since I only order PAB now when I get a decent GWP. If they remove it later you can just cancel the order since the GWP are shipped in a day or two and PAB takes weeks Quote

My cart was around $80, then suddenly it was around $75, and on the next page when I placed the order it was $60. All the animals besides the big turtle have gone, but if some small parts have also gone it's going to be hard to tell. I did copy paste the list to save it though, so I could cross check. Quote

MKJoshA Posted October 5, 2023 Posted October 5, 2023 So I placed an order just to ensure getting some parts. Now to slog my way through the pages again to see what I missed. Managed to get both parts of the large shark, both turtles, a large polar bear, and two orca jaws. Hopefully the orca body comes back in stock in time for some x2 VIP points... @Clone OPatra not having pictures is a real pain! It's been getting better. But TLG really needs to fix that issue. We need pictures when the part is uploaded. Quote

To get GWP through PAB your order has to meet the require dollar amount before taxes and service fees. It’s confusing but that’s how I always get mine. Usually I like to place big orders once in a while for that reason because the service fees for some items are not worth it Quote

Well, when they merged Pick a Brick and Parts and Pieces last year they announced that those parts would count towards GWPs. I think the terms are a relic from the time before that, where it actually really didn´t count. They likely just copy and paste it from one event to the other and change the date. 34 minutes ago, eldiano said: When a shopping cart goes down in pricing in pick a brick is when you meet the lower minimum required quota for “service” fees they have. They did indeed, but back then it was Bricks & Pieces mentioned in the T&Cs. Then they changed it to Pick a Brick not long after, I recall. Although now it's 'Pick a Brick (Standard)', so they do keep it up to date, and they clearly intend for Bestseller pieces to contribute to it. It may be a shipping thing, given that Standard pieces come from a different fulfillment centre? Quote

Yes, I noticed that the other day experimenting with it, planning an order next weekend. But as we've seen many times before, the largest toy company in the world really appears to struggle to get their ecommerce system fully robust. In this rare instance, it is to our advantage. Quote
Sir Dano Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 Noticed purple airtanks were back in stock, figured I may as well make an order now while that and all the Ninjago minifig parts were available. Also got a big turtle and the baby Ninjago dragon, crazy that that little thing costs almost 10 loonies. Quote

I think it is the same everywhere. With a standard parts only order, I always get the freebies in a separate delivery. Usually in a nice small box that can be reused for shipping small sets. Quote
