Shiva Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Lion King, ahhh, that part of PAB, yeah, that is a pain in the.... ship. Quote
alpinesman Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Lego seems to have removed from PAB the minifigure parts from the SET "medieval town square 10332". Including the superb minifigure of the queen's tax collector ... I had put it in my basket Quote

If you don't check the "show out of Stock" box on the website you won't see all the parts. Quote

I had put it in my basket They go in and out of stock all the time, if they go out of stock they are removed from the basket I believe so you must add them again next time they are in stock.. Hopefully soon they will remain more permanently in stock when the most impatient buyers have bought them. Personally I hope they will become bestsellers so I can get a GWP when I order them Quote
alpinesman Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 I think some people order them in huge quantities... Quote

Accio Lego Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 Bricks and Pieces seems to have been reformatted a bit. There’s now a hub page that gives quick access to the major categories (which are also still available in the drop down filters menu), which also has a set of easy access portals for a variety of themes. I predict that the castle and pirates ones will be the most clicked on, but it’s also refreshing to see Friends have one, since I don’t think there was an easy way to sort out Friends parts exclusively before. The hub page also has quick links to ‘seasonal’ collections – currently the new parts from July (featuring goat), and ‘Spooky’. As well as a link to the online minifigure factory. Otherwise notable is sliming down to a single search bar on the browsing page. The keyword or piece number’ bar is still easily visible, but to search by set number you now have to click a small icon of a box and magnifying glass next to it to open up a pop up window that will give you a set look up option. TL;DR there’s no change in functionality, but navigation is now looks more accessible for casual users Quote
Roebuck Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 The PAB team will have a talk at the upcoming SWF this weekend, so I expect some upcoming changes and improvements will be talked about there Quote

Roebuck Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 (edited) There are some big news from Skærbæk: "I'm sure some people have recordings and photos of the slides, but the headlines were: - Engineering is great and we do good stuff. - List Upload is in final stages of development, and a release is imminent (once we iron out some bugs found today) - We're working on a new Build a Minifigure experience, in line with the Minifigure Factory experience (but still logically separate). It will include all Minifigure elements available on PAB. - All elements in orders from Europe/AU/NZ will come from one warehouse starting in the coming weeks, with tracking, bestseller-speed delivery, and all in one package. US/CA will still have standard for the time being" Looks like GWP's back on the menu boys Edited September 30, 2024 by Roebuck Quote
MAB Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 Being able to use (all) PAB towards GWP is a big deal. My orders dropped since they changed it. Quote

Sounds to me more like they will have the same speed as bestsellers but will still be the same category as it is now - though if it is the same speed and warehouse, at least individual thresholds will disappear. I don´t see them removing the categories themselves though, especially since it would be kinda unfair when Europe gets them on everything and North America still only on a part of them. Quote

The GWP part is my guess, worst case they will remove bestseller from GWP also. They have built a huge new warehouse in Poland, the problem with the one in Denmark is the space so only a few people can work there at the same time. Not sure if replacements will still be from Billund, make sense maybe.. I assume NA will get a similar solution then the new big factory is finished Quote
RichardGoring Posted September 30, 2024 Posted September 30, 2024 GWP on potentially all purchases would be terrific. Native list uploading is fantastic. Quote

Nice to see that in addition to the City jungle animals and typically Friends style animals it also looks like we’ll be getting the new color of tiny owl that was introduced in Friends Adventure Camp Treehouse. The first two uses of the mold were in licensed properties, so this is the first smowl we can get off pick a brick. I definitely want to grab a couple of that and the red panda at the very least. RichardGoring Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 That's great, thanks! There are four unique map pieces across the four sets and only three of them are shown in that. Fortunately, the one that's missing is from the tiger set, which is the only set I bought. Hurrah! Now, how much are those gorillas going to cost... Quote

JohnTPT17 Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 I'm very glad to see that the tiger it there - hopefully it'll be somewhere in the $7-8 range. I think that's about what the lions cost? I also see Mr. Pale's torso from Ninjago - and he's really expensive on Bricklink right now. I'll need to grab that as well! Quote
williejm Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 I think we should temper our hopes regarding new animals price points on PAB - recent animals, even small and ‘simple’ ones have pretty hefty prices on there. Quote

Yeah, and the gorilla will need an assembly of three parts (body and two different arms) so that’s going to add up. And the deco on the red panda is far more complex than the goat – it doesn’t have the longstanding cult following so I doubt it will be marked up quite as much, but I also doubt it will be any cheaper than the goat either. The new croc color will probably be about the same as the old one though. Quote
karrit Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 I was really hoping for the new Potion Bottles & the Bubbling pieces from the Harry Potter Potions Class set. I fear the prices for the animals. Quote

Now, how much are those gorillas going to cost... Sounds odd and apparently someone stole some parts, the juvenile gorilla is not there either, but pretty sure that will pop up. We will know soon, maybe today The LOTR nazgul torso is there somewhat surprising, guess that will be sold out fast I fear the animal prices, but will wait until all the parts are bestsellers so I can get a nice GWP at least. If some off them are to expensive BL might be an option or just buy the set on sale and sell it without the animals might also work. Quote
RichardGoring Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 I suspect it's not that interesting, but it is a licensed part on Pick a Brick, which is Joy's torso from the Inside Out 2 set. 6486319. Very surprised to see it there. Also, I recall someone, at some point, asking about the 1x1 round brick with the alien face print on from the Milky Way Galaxy set. That's on there too. 6465967. No idea when they arrived. Just started browsing through by newest to see if any of the June parts had been uploaded. Quote
