karrit Posted October 16, 2024 Posted October 16, 2024 I'm glad they finally have apparently put it back to the way they had said it was supposed to be going forward when they did the fusing of bricks & Pieces with PAB or whatever it was called before. I'll have to add a few more parts to what's currently in my cart to test it out. It was actually working for me up until a few months back. Quote

Pick a Brick: new upload feature now live in US | New Elementary: LEGO® parts, sets and techniques I can see that it is useful if you already have a list of element IDs but some databases like Brickset get their information from LEGO direct anyway. I cannot really see the point of building a list of element IDs from Brickset and uploading them without knowing whether a part is for sale or not, when you might as well just enter the set number at PAB and get the same inventory and know whether the part is for sale or not. Bricklink is more understandable, if you have used studio to design a set and export parts lists. Quote
Lemerbrix Posted October 18, 2024 Posted October 18, 2024 Hey, does anyone know why these torso pieces aren’t available on PaB yet? They should have dropped with the other parts! IDs are 6489981 and 6484875, I’m in USA Quote

Bricklink is more understandable, if you have used studio to design a set and export parts lists. I often use Rebrickable to build lists of parts I need, as I like the UI and graphics. Or I get a MOC parts list from Rebrickable. Then I can export the XML parts list and put it into PAB. Although I've been using the BrickHunter browser extension recently that does this anyway, so it's already been solved for me. Quote

I plugged in both of those parts, and it says they're the torso and legs of Jordana from Ninjago (njo897) EDIT: Never mind - I just read you question fully. Lego is funny with what gets added, and in what kinds of quantities. There are several other parts that were supposed to be added in thsi last wave, but didn't. If i had to guess (and be a little cynical), Lego is trying to make sure that you can't guy the full minifigure for ones tied to a single set/expensive sets (or both), so there's still a draw to buy the minifigs from there. jonwil Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 LEGO seems to be funny with Ninjago specifically in terms of what lands on PaB and when. Other than Ninjago parts and parts that are clearly licensed, all the June parts did end up on PaB (including all the new City parts, Friends parts etc) Quote
Roebuck Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 (edited) Nazgul more expensive and tiger is back in bestseller.. It lasted around 1 hour this time Edited October 21, 2024 by Roebuck Update Quote

JohnTPT17 Posted October 28, 2024 Posted October 28, 2024 It looks like the BAM parts that had stock difficulties are being added next month, even though a lot of parts are being taken out. If that is the case, that's a major development - and something that I happily applaud! Quote

That's great news! Thanks! Quote
jonwil Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 New parts (the aforementioned BaM bits as well as some other stuff including parts from Bumblebee) have just landed on PaB. Quote
Roebuck Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 They where not planning to close PAB down last year, but then people where ordering like crazy and they had to do it. This year hopefully it is different with the move to bestseller since orders (expect NA) will not affect missing parts orders in Billund. Are we expecting any more big parts dumps this year, the one today was tiny compared to the last one? Quote

The correct open one is not available at the moment and they have used the old style closed neck one. They have moved so much stuff to bestseller for Europe now, I actually had a problem finding enough standard parts to checkout without the fee this time. I think the removal of parts is a good thing. They cannot keep everything in stock for ever, but just as importantly, it means the secondary market for new parts can thrive just with a delay when those parts are removed from PAB. There is a danger that this kills BL for new parts being parted out from sets. There is already a huge race to the bottom in price for common parts, it is becoming not worth parting out sets unless sellers can recoup costs for the more exclusive parts (and minifigures). That is not a good situation for anyone in the long term. Quote

While it has mostly been used in Licensed sets, it seems odd for that hood in particular to be IP locked when other random parts developed for and exclusively appearing in Licensed sets do appear for sale. The reddish brown hood was available, but I think it was only up for about a few days to a week before it got removed. I know as I bought just six of them to hit free shipping on an order thinking they would be easily available in future. Quote

karrit Posted October 29, 2024 Posted October 29, 2024 I know that a lot of people don't have the ability to go to a LEGO store to get the parts so it's great that they will be able to get them this way. With the price of some of the PAB/BAM parts on PAB I'd much rather just buy what I can get in store from the BAM towers. I was fortunate enough to be able to get what I wanted when that wave was released. The skirt piece from the Green Queen is priced at $2.52 so almost the cost of one minifig from the BAM tower. As I've said before I try to maximize the value of the parts I buy from the BAM tower so will normally grab pricier parts such as this skirt, dual molded hat or hair pieces, dual molded or printed legs, Animal mask head pieces, more expensive accessories like the flasks, the Jack-o-lantern headpiece, the data pad book cover piece, animals and different color heads, etc. Quote

Roebuck Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 A few hundred new parts, most of the interesting ones are expensive unfortunately Quote
