Clone OPatra Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 The puffer vests and hair with beanies have pretty good prices. And, true to the name of this topic, there are currently a few Skeleton Crew Minifigure parts, an Iron Man torso, the trans green darksaber and the new rubbery capes on there! However those rubbery capes are pretty expensive, and holy heck the Dreamzzz hourglass hilts are terribly priced. I would've wanted those but I'll pass. And um, why are pneumatic tubes $17.40 USD Quote
RichardGoring Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Nazgul torsos and gorillas back in stock on Pick a Brick. Just ordered some. Thought I had missed the Nazgul and it was just left over stock. I wonder why they are still in production? Quote
upliftingbricks Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Interestingly the Nazgul torsos were bestsellers when I ordered a couple weeks ago. They then went out of stock but are now standard parts. I wonder if that will happen to the other leaving parts as the stock levels slowly dwindle Quote

Im based in Europe and I think America has its own factory/warehouse but thats my assumption that in Europe its gone back to Standard as its the remaining stock here especially when all parts are meant to be going to bestseller. Its just guess work but if anyone else sees items on the retiring list go from Bestseller to Standard might indicate a pattern. Quote

Interestingly, for Europe they are also no longer a bestseller part. Very few of the new torsos are not bestseller, just the Nazgul and one other on the first few pages. I imagine this means that they are out of stock in the bestseller warehouse in Europe, so badge them as standard and will ship them once replenished or ship them from the 'standard' warehouse. It will be interesting to see if this is how they handle parts in demand for us in Europe, as it keeps them in stock and available to order but on a slower delivery schedule. Quote

Yes indeed it will be interesting to see how their mechanics work. But I'm also intrigued as to why they have this part in production at all, given that it was for a limited run of a single GWP. Or, will it come in a set in the near future that they are already boxing up? Quote

Theres a chance a Ringwraith is in the rumoured Shire set next year but the fact it's leaving PaB indicates that it wont be reused to me. Its the opposite of how classic white space torso wasn't in any sets with Galaxy Explorer retiring at end of last year but was kept on PaB then shows up in two GWP this year and is now being removed from PaB. My pure speculation: as the GWP went out of stock very fast, this might be the way TLG makes the Nazgul available for all who are interested. Quote

Oh, is it leaving PaB? I didn't realize. That makes sense then, to just release the overproduction parts. Glad I managed to get some! Quote

Is this a fact? It is still available just not as a bestseller. It could be restocked. It might also come back as a non LOTR part. Pippin's torso has been available for ages on PAB and has now shown up in the lifeboat GWP. There often seems to be no reason behind some decisions. Just when we think we understand things, they do something strange. Quote

Anything else is just me trying to apply logic to it all Your last sentence is very apt! jonwil Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 I placed an order on the 30th of October (standard and bestseller) and it hasn't shipped yet. Should I be concerned at this point? (the "Books are my passion" GWP showed up just fine though) Quote
MKJoshA Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 I placed an order on Oct 10th that hasn't shipped yet either. I'm not worried. Exceptionally long wait times are normal with B&P orders. Ignore whatever timeline they tell you. It'll ship when it ships. Quote

Longest pick a brick order for me was 3-4months and it was around this time last year, they get swamped and take forever due to staffing shortages. All you can do is wait Quote
vizzitor Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 I'm waiting on the Standard part of an order from the 1st of October where the Bestseller pieces were delivered on the 14 of October. I've another two orders from not long afterwards that I'm still waiting on too. I asked Support about them to make sure nothing had been overlooked or something and they said there are some long delays right now. They couldn't really give any timeframe on it, just to wait and there was no problem with the orders. Quote
karrit Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Still waiting on an order from Otober 9 and several more orders after that. The expected shipping time when I originally placed the order was 28 business days which they changed on the website to 40 business days the day after I placed that order. They still have about 2 weeks left to make the 40 business days but the original 28 days have now passed. I'm hoping they arrive before the end of the year but not expecting much at this point. Some of these parts were meant for holiday builds but I guess they will be for next year. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 I got my Bestseller order from November 16th yesterday. 30+ extra 2x2 DBG gray tiles, about 10 short of another tile type, double the silver grille tiles amount, and a single part I didn't order. (and no, it wasn't a exciting / special part!) Not complaining about that - not in the slightest! - but I just thought I'd mention what happened so people would know. Quote
Roebuck Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 My bestseller from the end of October finally shipped a couple of days ago I just tried and both Standard and Bestseller are counting towards GWP now Ended up buying a lot of animals on Bestseller.. Quote
Aurore Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 My bestseller order from October 20 showed up yesterday. My normal parts order from October 3 is not shipped yet...some of the parts it contains were for my Advent Calender, and it seems like they won’t arrive on time! Quote
