Matn Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Currently I'm still playing Mario Kart Wii and now I've started playing Toki Tori (I sure love the WiiWare channel). And I think I'll put in the disc of Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix again. And when I have enough money: LEGO Indiana Jones! Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 HAZEIt's a freakin'awesome game, I like to play online multiplayer. Neat - I want to get that game! still METAL GEAR SOLID 4! Quote
Vaders_son Posted June 18, 2008 Posted June 18, 2008 Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer! The Game just rocks and with the new patch came some nice maps Quote
iamded Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Dawn of War: Soulstorm. I just can't resist the campaign. I also recently acquired, played and clocked a fantastic game called Fahrenheit. Or, in America, I believe it's called the Indigo Prophecy. Actually, I believe the version I have is called (in America) Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Director's Cut. Anyway, it's a quite short game, or rather, quite a long movie. A great storyline and a really quite different style of game play, more of an interactive movie with alternate endings, which makes it so great. ~Peace Quote
Trexxen Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Guess what? I'm still playing Brawl...really need to find a good offline tournament around here sometime. Online's alright, but lag in tournaments = bad. Other than that, it's all about the music - I'm playing Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band on my 360. Downloadable content ahoy! (Which reminds me, I Am Murloc = free DLC TODAY! WOO!) I'm considering getting Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, but I would muchly prefer picking up some new legoes ^.^ ~Trexxen Quote
JoeMI6 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Since yesterday (yes I got it a day early :D) I've been playing Brawl. It was definitely worth the wait, being everything you could ever want. I can say so much about it, but I won't bore you all, as I'm sure it's already been said by most. It's certainly not going to be leaving the disc slot for the next few weeks... Quote
Siegfried Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Crisis Core. I even bought a PSP just for it! So far it's great and the graphics are stunning. Quote
Shadows Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 In a few days, The Summer of Doom begins. What is The Summer of Doom, you ask? Every summer, a few friends and I co-op our way through every official level of Doom made (Doom, not the travesty that is known as Doom 3 but really bears no resemblance to the real thing at all). Doom/Ultimate Doom. Doom II. Master Levels. TNT/Plutonia/Final Doom. Then we check out the new levels that have been made in the past year, plus special mods and such. Always a good time and a noble tradition. For those of you who can't handle the retro graphics, I'd suggest one of the Serious Sams. They aren't Doom, but they are what Doom 3 could have been: mindless carnage with updated graphics and a bad attitude. I actually think of it as more of what Duke Nukem Forever could have been. Er, will be. Eventually... Yeah, right. Quote

The insane amount of enemies and the guys with bombs for hands who run at you screaming, becoming louder and louder the closer they got just blew me away. It was such a fresh game! I actually think of it as more of what Duke Nukem Forever could have been. Er, will be. Eventually... Yeah, right. Duke Nukem is due soon. Quote
Shadows Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 ... and the guys with bombs for hands who run at you screaming, becoming louder and louder the closer they got just blew me away. AAAaaaaaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaHHHHHHH *boom* AAAaaaaaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaHHHHHHH yourself. Freak. multiple "AAAaaaaaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaHHHHHHH"s Ut oh. Single most memorable scene in the game for me, aside from some of the pop culture references. Quote
Opproperaar Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 (edited) When I first played Serious Sam I laughed my head off. The insane amount of enemies and the guys with bombs for hands who run at you screaming, becoming louder and louder the closer they got just blew me away. It was such a fresh game! Serious Sam was awesome - Never underestimate the power of stupid things in large numbers! - The cartoony monsters, nice levels (at least I felt they were nice) as well as the mindless carnage provided for hours of fun. Euro 2008 and Oblivion for X-box 360 I've recently took up playing Oblivion for the 360 though never got quite beyond simply escaping the beginning prison. It (the game) would seem to contain some good elements I feel that could make for a good gaming experience but it's all buried under slow and tedious in game travel between towns as well as the most horrible and boring fighting experience I've by far ever have had to endure in my young life. Tell me it's not what I think it is and actually quite nice to play ... As far as Duke Nukem goes, I don't play it now but at least used to (forget which one though). I really enjoyed such a simple platform shooter - it reminds me of moonlander simply for the hours of fun I had playing it. Not bad considering moonlander is a game completely centered around landing a damn rocket on the moon. Edited June 27, 2008 by Hairy Ruben Quote

Doom/Ultimate Doom. Doom II. Master Levels. TNT/Plutonia/Final Doom. I participated in the Summer of Doom last year. I do not think our relationship can survive another Summer of Doom. I will probably play a little (I am not committing) but last year I got sick of being called a Nazi constantly. Needless to say, I'm not very good at it. Quote
Shadows Posted June 28, 2008 Posted June 28, 2008 ... but last year I got sick of being called a Nazi constantly. Ugh. Ok, now I have to tell the Nazi story. In some modified levels of Doom, the mappers replaced the map 32 Wolf 3D character sprites with the ones from the mp red marine. They also sped it up to an impossible to deal with speed, thus making it hard to avoid dying. When it would kill you, it would say that you had fallen victim to a Nazi, because it used the old character message. How does that relate? Well, Alice plays the red marine because she's a girl and likes red. So, here we are, running around casually wiping out everything in our path when this red human runs up and blows the crap out of us repeatedly, and it looks like her. So.. she is the Nazi. It also resulted in accusing her of hacking, which was a joke as well. Quote

The insane amount of enemies and the guys with bombs for hands who run at you screaming, becoming louder and louder the closer they got just blew me away. It was such a fresh game! I remember in Serious Sam (2, I think), there'd be enemies running 'round holding onto their decapitated heads, the different colourd ones having different guns. Ironically, the guys who held onto two bombs with no head in sight were the only ones that could scream... As for games I'm playing: Prince of Persia, The Sands of Time. The 2 dimensional one. For Gameboy Advance. It's hard. ~Peace Edited June 28, 2008 by iamded Quote
