Gideon Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) Weird things are happening throughout Historica. Among these are that creatures which normally avoid the heat of Kaliphlin have been sighted in the desert sands. This worm actually looks like a being of the Frozen Beyond, north of Mitgardia! There must surely be some strange and ancient magic at work to make this happen... Run for your life!! The cold mouth of the beast. The entire build. I'd also like to claim a UoP credit for brick-built animal #1 [Agriculture and Zoology]. Edited December 18, 2015 by Gideon Quote
Infernum Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 That scaly texture is so nice! Cool use of the claws too! Quote
The Steward Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Absolutely stunning! What a magnificent beast! Quote

LordDan Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Fantastic ice worm! It sure looks fearsome! Quote
Kai NRG Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Fantastic build Gideon, that ice worm really pops against the sandy background. The angles you got are great as well, and excellent texture on the beast! +1 for the UoP credit! Quote
gedren_y Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 UoP DoH +1. I've found that scream face handy, too. Quote
Captain Dee Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 That's a very creative design, and the presentation is absolutely perfect. White against tan really stands out well and the shaping of the base is great, especially where it's coming out of the ground. On a side note, if you removed the mouth and straightened the body it would make a really cool column... Good work as always :) Quote
Sir Gillian Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 That worm looks fantastic! You have also done a very nice work on the landscape and photo angles! Quote
de Gothia Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Excellent!! Love the presentation as always! great work mate! Quote
SarahJoy Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) Awesome work, as always. The sandworm is stunning -- love the texture and shape. UoP +1! Nice work work photographing, especially that second shot. Edited December 15, 2015 by SarahJoy Quote
Adair Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 The very idea is ingenious, and the execution... extraordinary! Quote
KlodsBrik Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Great build. So simple looking, yet a quite complicated setup. The overall impression is great. For me i wished that the minifig would have actually been placed in the direction the worm is swinging at. But its quite a great build indeed ! Quote
halixon Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Awesome worm! The sand-scaping is nice! Quote
LittleJohn Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Fabulous build, Gideon! That sandworm is outstanding, I really like the rows of spikes +1 UoP Quote
Puvel Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Great build, terrifying monster indeed! Your pics make it absolutely stunning Quote
Gideon Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 (edited) Thanks for the feedback! I was trying to try to add some sand flying out of the hole as well but didn't manage to make it look good enough... It remembers my at the latest Hobbit movie.... Is everyone here too young to remember Dune? "Wormsign!!" Edited December 17, 2015 by Gideon Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Marvellous! Great action and a fantastic frost worm. Wait - isn't there a song? "Ice worm in the sand, round and round, everlasting love is what we found..." Quote
soccerkid6 Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 That's a scary looking worm! You pulled off the round shape extraordinarily well, and the desert landscape contrasts with the beast nicely Quote
MaasEffekt Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 That creature reminded me of Mass Effect 1. It had a creature similar (the Thresher Maw was its name i think)- and of course the movie(s) Tremors. Love it! Congrats! Quote
