Capn Frank Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 During the Pillage The Village Competition, Flickr user alexbrick2000 posted an entire town of MOCs and added them to the Nautical Lego Flickr Group. My favorite was the Hafen or Port. a Hafen3 - Kopie by alexbrick2000, on Flickr And then he also has the rest of the town that looks like it could attach to the Port. a Hafen untere Stadt Kirche1 - Kopie by alexbrick2000, on Flickr a Hafen untere Stadt5 - Kopie by alexbrick2000, on Flickr A lot of these buildings have interiors too. There is a lot of detail put into this town. Quote
Captain Dee Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 I like this concept and have thought about it previously. Building a full town or city in bricks is an enormous and expensive task. Designing it in LDD is still quite a job but not costly. It's a trade-off of having the actual thing with limitations vs having whatever you want in digital form. But it seems to be difficult to do entire towns as a single digital creation due to computing requirements, and I've always assumed it would have to be done as seperate sections like this. Anyway, this is a really nice arrangement. There's a bit too much open space though. More details or closer positioning of the buildings would help to close it in somewhat. I really like the port area. Cool find and sorry I can't help :( Quote
Staslegomaster Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 It's really very complicated to creat a town and port in LDD. I prefer rial bricks but your creation impressed me so much! One needs not only skills but also patience. And you're a success!! The port and the 3 sailing boats are above praize. How did you manage to make the sails? They're not available in LDD, as far as I know. By the way, don't you know any exclussive Bluecoat ship of Pirates 2015?- There are none in catalogues. Keep on building! Quote
Capn Frank Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 your creation impressed me so much! I am not sure if there's confusion, but Alexbrick2000 created this MOC, not I. Quote
