I have no problem with the EGS License form, but all that's changed on the Free Build form is the month in the title. Here's what i get when I click on the link above:

"March 2016 Free Build Form

The form "February 2016 Free Build Form " is no longer accepting responses.

Try contacting the owner of the form if you think this is a mistake."

It is working for me now. Already added my first two freebuilds and MRCA result. Are the links in the other topics updated too?

Perhaps a silly question, but can someone of the `powers that be` do a quick check to see if I licensed my Quinnsville Sailors Beach already for this month (Medium License, Commerce category).

I thought I did as I hung a note on my PC that I only needed to fill in the freebuild forms when they came up, but now I`m doubting my own memory

What is the reason for the existence of the War Brigantine? It costs the same as the Brig does, but is equivalent or worse everywhere. The Warship rating doesn't help as it only has 1 PO anyways.

3A: 250 DB, S2, G2. C2. $0, WY, H2, PO1

4WR: 250 DB, S3, G2, C2, $2, WN, H2, PO1

Or am I missing something here?

If we look at the index, quite a number of class 2s are actually built to fall into the class 3 range.

There might be cause to reexamine some of the classifications and lay out clearer boundaries as to what qualifies as a certain class.

We could also give our dear prize council something to do by judging the ship rating. (Does this build fall into the 3-4 category? Or is it clearly only worth a 2.)

Old Imperial Flagship, I think, is overclassed.

70413 The Brick Bounty = Brig 4WR

4184 Black Pearl = War Brig / Heavy Sloop 4A-5HA

4195 Queen Anne's Revenge = Heavy Sloop 5HA

6243 Brickbeard's Bounty = Birg 4WR

10210 Imperial Flagship = Heavy Sloop 5HA

6250 Cross Bone Clipper = Cutter / Sloop 2F/2WR

6280/6291 Armada Flagship = Brigatine 3T1

6289/6290 Red Beard Runner = Snow 4T2

6256 Islander Catamaran = Catamaran 1F

6268 Renegade Runner = Armed Sloop / cutter 2A/2F

6271 Imperial Flagship = Small Schooner / Snow / Large Sloop 4T1/4T2/3T1 > 3T1/2WR

6277 Imperial Trading Post = Small Sloop 1WR

6286 Skull's Eye Schooner = Heavy Sloop / War Schooner 5LA/5HA

6274 Caribbean Clipper = Large Sloop 3T2

6285/10040 Black Seas Barracuda = Brig 4WR

From what I remember, the "War Hull" is quite a bonus over normal hulls and will be needed for settlement raids? Not sure where I read/heard that.....so, feel free to correct me if I am wrong....

Yurps, that`s the one. Didn`t know we could check that apparently :-)

(what`s the NO mean?)

That is your answer to building on NPC territory question on the license form. :classic:

Their guns are more efficient as well,

A question.

If a player has more than 3 vessels, a license penalty is imposed.

Is there any such thing for factions, or are there only the upkeep? (Which may or may not be active yet?)

I am undecided on my own opinion on this, but wonder if not the difference in these aspects risks leading weaker minds to game the system?

@Fuzzy:

Yes, I believe they are still valid, and I believe some sea rats did it last month, finding some rumoured lost treasure.

I have a simple question; are Bounty Hunting voyages still valid for the MCRA? All the recent discussion I have seen refers only to trade runs and escorts.

Well, so far Bounty seeking voyages have been less successful; last month there was the sunken ship Le Grande.

Next month there are two options for Bounty seeking hinted at as far as I can tell (I might be interpreting this wrongly):

The King of Oleon desires shrimp wine. From Granoleon we are hearing that the King has a condition that leaves his desire for shrimp wine simply unsatiated. Shrimp wine, that nasty juice priests use in rituals, is a rare commodity, especially when its main ingredient, the shrimp grape only grows in the tropics. Perhaps some entrepreneurial souls will take on the task to quench the king’s thirst?

The Queen still desires Bananas! With her pregnancy causing all sort of problems, one thing remains constant, The Queen of Corrington’s desire for Bananas. Luckily, Terraversa is full of such wonderful delights. An enterprising merchant may find a tidy profit in a quick run between this island and Belson. But I wouldn’t stop anywhere in between, the Queen in hungry and Bananas do not stay ripe forever!

Not sure if I interpreted that correctly, but these sound like bounty hunting voyages.

Those both sound like trade runs to me.

@Fuzzy, You're always welcome to take a bounty run whenever/wherever. So far they haven't proven exceptionally lucrative (as far as I can tell), but who knows? - you might strike it rich!

As far as I know, bounty runs are all solo missions. Hit or miss.

There is no reason why a flotilla could not go on a bounty run, escorted by a powerful fleet.

But yes, they are very much hit or miss.

It can be understood to include everything from fishing trips over scientific expeditions and treasure hunts to bounty hunting (I.e. Hunting down a pirate)

Well, for the last one you could always go on a predator mission against the sea rats. Not sure if that would be that good of an idea though. Don't lose your War Dwarf:P Have you talked to your leadership about getting a license out of the dry dock?;)

But if all eggs are in the same basket, all will either hit or miss.

Is there any benefit to having a large group with warships guns blazing?

To the venerable Don Isaac Montoya

I believe you're sources have provided you with inadequate information. Although a pirate vessel was spotted in the waters surrounding Lebellan, it was first and foremost Eslandolans on the treasure hunting endeavor. Although I have no bad experiences with Sea Rats, I must insist on not being mistaken for one. The rumours of the treasure however were all true. I have proof, which I will procure when the time is right.

Sincerely, Captain Ludwig Saxchsenhauser

I was part of a 3-ship flotilla that went on a bounty run in February's MCRA, with an escort no less, so you can team up. FWIW, we all had similar results on what we got. Not sure if that was random or if the results are tied together, but I suspect the latter.
