Kolonialbeamter Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Question - are we in the northern or southern hemisphere of this world? Northern hemisphere, if it works like our real world You can deduct this from here: first post, third paragraph below the map. (Le Bellan sits right in the tropic zone, Tiberia - situated just north of Le Bellan - not) Quote
CelesAurivern Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Sorry if I've missed it again. Is there an MCRA form for March? Nearly the end of the month, so don't wanna miss the milkrun :p Quote

TitusV Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Thanks, I should have been able to figure that out. Now I know which slope to put vineyards on. Waw. That's why I love you so much, EB! People thinking about wich side of the hill to put their vineyards on... Quote
Sir Stig Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Waw. That's why I love you so much, EB! People thinking about wich side of the hill to put their vineyards on... I agree. Although I see an easy work around. He could just photograph it from another angle :P Quote
Vedauwoo Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 However, upgrading to the correct licence for a ship (up-licencing) is allowed. In order to upgrade a ship which has been already licenced you would need to state when you first post the build your intention of building the licence up to (fill in the blank). Are there any new details on the ship license form for this.....or do I need to state this in one of the entry blanks? If so, which one..... Quote
The Sarge Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 I agree. Although I see an easy work around. He could just photograph it from another angle :P Well, yeah. :P But I needed to know for the description, and which settlement it's going to. Quote
Bregir Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Are there any new details on the ship license form for this.....or do I need to state this in one of the entry blanks? If so, which one..... There is nothing you need to do on the license form, but when you initially post the vessel, we ask you to indicate the maximum rating on the build. Further, when upgrading, we might ask for a freebuild explaining the change. (To ensure IC consistency) Quote
Garmadon Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Are there any new details on the ship license form for this.....or do I need to state this in one of the entry blanks? If so, which one..... As Bregir said, I meant just to state what licence you were looking for when you originally posted the build on EB (or edit the post and add later it if your not sure, but before/when you licence it, not afterwards) Quote

Elostirion Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 A ship of class A with 0 cargo can still make profit in a "Bounty Seekers" run - is this correct? Quote
Captain Dee Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Attention freebuilders - the approval period for 3+ freebuilds has been shortened from 3 weeks to 2 weeks to get dbs in your hands sooner (because few if any approvals were being granted that far out). This means earnings from builds posted as late as the 17th of this month will be awarded at the end of the month. Other changes are being discussed as a part of the accounting solution so stay tuned. The rules topics will be updated eventually to reflect the changes. Quote
SkaForHire Posted March 24, 2016 Author Posted March 24, 2016 A ship of class A with 0 cargo can still make profit in a "Bounty Seekers" run - is this correct? Nope, they do not have cargo space to hold the bounty they are reaping. Quote
Puvel Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Question about licensing a 'sister ship'. I won't have time to build a replacement ship for the one that sank last month but I have the funds to relicense a sister ship. There isn't really an option on the ship licensing form to state this and there is no link needed to the build on that form either. Is there a way to make it clear I don't just license a ship without a MOC? Quote
SkaForHire Posted March 25, 2016 Author Posted March 25, 2016 You would use the same link to the moc that you used originally. If it is your free ship, you would mark it as such on the form. Quote
MKJoshA Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 You would use the same link to the moc that you used originally. If it is your free ship, you would mark it as such on the form. Yes, but there is nowhere to put a link in the ship license form. Quote
SkaForHire Posted March 25, 2016 Author Posted March 25, 2016 Yes, but there is nowhere to put a link in the ship license form. there is now. I can't believe we went this long without somebody saying something! Quote
CelesAurivern Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Question regarding personal fleet limits and costs. Say I already have 3 ships. 1. I capture a new ship (say base value 100). If I add it into my fleet as the 4th ship, do I need to pay anything? If yes, how much? 2. If I don't add it to my fleet as the 4th ship, can I hold it in reserve indefinitely? 3. If I unlicence my 3rd ship (say base value 50), and I want to relicence it again at another time, how much do I need to pay? Quote

Otherwise, it would be possible to circumvent the rules. I.e. the capture only cover the basic licensing costs. 2) I don't see why not. Alternatively, you could sell it, or have it condemned by the prize court. 3) The full license. Ska stated somewhere that unlicensing is an option, but there is no refund. Instead, you could try selling the licensed vessel to another player. I am pretty sure this is correct, by leadership may correct me. Quote
CelesAurivern Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 So that means to say that for 1) 50% of the licence is 25 DB 3) 100% of the licence is 25 DB. <- But if I stupidly decide I want it back as my 4th ship, I pay 37.5 DB? Quote

This makes no sense to me. If the license cost is 100 db's and it is your fourth vessel, you will have to pay an extra 50 dbs. If it is a capture, the first 100 is already paid, so to put it into your fleet, you will have to pay 50 dbs. Quote

If it is a capture, the first 100 is already paid, so to put it into your fleet, you will have to pay 50 dbs. The base cost is 100DB. 50 is for construction and materials. The other 50 is for the licence paid to the crown. That was the rationale, wasn't it? How is it that one has to pay the construction again for a ship that has already been built? Quote
