ctx1769 Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Just disposed of the few large boxes I had, spring cleaning and declutter so I can have a lego room Quote
kibosh Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 I personally do not save boxes, but I love when other people do. For me, if I open a set, it is never going to leave my collection. It's usually broken apart for pieces, or something like the Cafe Corner that will stay as is (with minor improvements!). When I buy collections from people, I can always resell for a LOT more money if the boxes are included! Quote
Immo Posted January 11, 2016 Posted January 11, 2016 When I buy collections from people, I can always resell for a LOT more money if the boxes are included! It also worked the other way in my case - I bought used 5867 "Super Speedster" in a ton box for an equivalent of today's 10 bucks (which was really cheap for 5 years old set in Poland). I guess the package's state was one of the price lowering factors (apart from poor parts quality). Quote
vinchente000 Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Hey. for a while or in the past I did not save the boxes but as of recently when I started to collect again I started to save the boxes and instructions simply because I have a wall of boxes (see pic) https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1539/24436348901_38f375f46b_k.jpg' alt='24436348901_38f375f46b_k.jpg'>Lego Collection 3 by Vincent ST, auf Flickr[/img] and because if I decide to sell some sets the value goes up when you have the boxes. merman Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Just a quick question: is it worth saving the inner white boxes of some big sets? You could see them as similar to the plastic bags. I keep saving the white boxes, but they cannot be flattened. Is a used set without the white boxes worth considerably less? Quote
