The party is thrashed about in the rough sea weather. Skrall's shot bounces off the choppy waves as Bruce bites into him. The ensuing Demon Ray attack leaves him weakened and bloodied. Nur manages to avoid being ensnared by the Krakenling mob, but a school of Silver Carp strikes him in the back, injuring him. Thalion manages to make his mark, as does Ellaria, but Nerwen's luck soon runs out as she is struck by one of the Demon Rays. With one party member severely injured and the weather showing no signs of letting out, the battle continues, the parties blood now soaking into the ice.

Dammit for not specifying row. Although I'm a bit surprised you defaulted to the front row when unspecified given I was singing.

And I'm not sure where you got 66 damage from anyway, demon rays are level 43.

Counterstrike damage also please, I know Nerwen is KO'd but I'd think damage and counterstrike happen at the same time, so she'd still get it.

Nerwen blinks the salt spray from her eyes, one of the demon rays coming closer and closer...

"Master Skrall, what do you say we switch targets?", shouted Thalion as he eyed the giant fish.

Thalion switches his weapon for Despair, and casts a Lightning spell at Bruce from back row.

If an Enchantment is rolled, Thalion will upgrade Despair.

OOC: Since Thalion dual-cast his spell last turn, M.C.S. B should have taken the same amount of damage as A.

QM Note: If you don't specify row, I've always ruled that you're attacking from the front row, no matter what you do. In the past, players I've hosted usually only specify row when they're sticking to the back, so that's how I've ruled it. I am willing to fix the previous rounds' stats, though. I feel that's only fair.

It also seems like I messed up some of the numbers during calculating damage. This will be remedied when I get a chance. :thumbup:

However, I'm certain that the Counterstrike Gloves only work when the character isn't KO'd. You can't really strike back when you're out cold.

Regarding row, that's fair enough. I'm not going to push you to change it because I didn't specify. As I said I'm a little surprised, but I really shouldn't be since how you do it is how practically every othevQM does it. I was really more kicking myself.

On the counterstrike though, I will ask for a ruling. As I said I'd think it happens at the same time a damage, not as a seperate thing. But if it doesn't, it probably won't matter in the long run, it's a hit of less than 8%.

OoC: All actions that are not affected by row - spellcasting, singing, items - should be defaulted to back row because there is no logical reason to do them from the front row (unless enraged). That is only player-friendly, in my opinion.

Nerwen blinked. The clap of energy from her bracelets with the counterstrike charm seemed to drive the ray back momentarily.

Nay fair alchemist, I'm not downed yet. A potion would do more good.

Nerwen keeps the beat of the lucky chant going, making sure she steps back from the waters edge, behind the comforting bulk of the beast warrior's servant.

Skrall takes out a school of fish, but the party soon finds the aquatic animals nibbling at them again, the second school of Magic Carp taking out Nur. The battle continues!

OoC: You can take out the Diluted Arc Potion from my weapon description now, so we won't get confused about it later on.

Also, there's something really fishy going on with Bruce's health... Does he have 10.000 health or 1000? And Thalion just blasted him with a spell, didn't he?

Thalion repeats his attack.

OOC: I have said it before, since Thalion dual-cast his spell on first round (and specified that his targets were Magic Carp School A and B) and hit Magic Carp School A, the damage it sustained, M.C.S. B should have also sustained. Meaning, one of them should have perished last round, and one should have perished this round, and Nur should not be KO'ed.

Thalion repeats his attack.

OOC: I have said it before, since Thalion dual-cast his spell on first round (and specified that his targets were Magic Carp School A and B) and hit Magic Carp School A, the damage it sustained, M.C.S. B should have also sustained. Meaning, one of them should have perished last round, and one should have perished this round, and Nur should not be KO'ed.

You're right on the account that Nur should not be knocked out. However, doing up the math, one of the Magic Carp's is still alive, so Nur does still take damage.

OoC: You can take out the Diluted Arc Potion from my weapon description now, so we won't get confused about it later on.

Also, there's something really fishy going on with Bruce's health... Does he have 10.000 health or 1000? And Thalion just blasted him with a spell, didn't he?

OoC: I also shouldn't have Wyvern's Breath in my inventory anymore, either.

Seeing that Nur was still hanging on, Ellaria instead used some Smelling Salts, then some Mulled Wine (thanks to her job trait) and finally she attacked Silver Carp School A.

Nur enters beast mode, only to be assaulted by a group of Silver Carps which knock him out cold on the ice. Nerwen puts her heart into a romantic song, healing her fellow party members, while Skrall changes targets, hitting one of the Demon Rays. Ellaria downs some consumables and makes gold appear out of thin air, stuffing the precious metal into a pocket in her lab coat. The battle continues with one party member down.

OoC: So Skrall used his Composite Bow in the last round so that should change the damage output to 1368 Damage killing Demon Ray A.

The ogre watched the beast warrior fall once again, "Ya got to quit doin' that, Nur." Skrall drew back another arrow on his Composite bow and fired at Demon Ray B from the back row.
