As he is saying this, his gaze can't help being drawn to the skull at the end of her staff. "Where are you from anyway? Some mountains up north? Oh, this? Meet Yorick. She felt like running away from this and ignoring his advances, but she'd keep going through this routine otherwise. "Warlen... I, um... appreciate the sentiment. And stuff." She awkwardly smiled, continually tapping her journal. Various loose pages began sticking out of it as she did so. Quote

KotZ Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 Finally, the sun sets allowing everyone to rest and regain their strength. The voyage took seventeen days. A good five of them consisted of avoiding ships. They even had to wait half a day (much to the dismay of an impatient Slate) outside of port before the coast... literally and metaphorically, was clear to enter Tridentia's port. Luke led the Heroes off the ship. For the two returning Heroes, they were able to see the town had grown. The shops were bustling, there were more buildings. Perhaps Tridentia no longer needed the term "colony"; it was a full fledged town. Waving to them was the Mayor William Morris. Peaking out from their house was his wife, Lacy Lane Morris. "There they are!" the mayor exclaims as he goes to hug his adopted son, Luke. "Good to see you again, son." He ushers the cleric over to his mother as he approaches the Heroes. "I'm glad we have two old friends back with us. I'm somewhat surprised there aren't more of you. For you two new allies, allow me to introduce myself. I am William Morris, mayor of this fine town. You've already met my son and back there is my wife, Lacy." He extends a hand to Avalanche and Calamity. "You have no idea how pleased I am that Heroica has heeded our call. Hopefully this won't be as trying of a challenge as our previous problems. Do you have any questions?" Lacy makes her way over to the group and takes her husband's hand. "Hello, Annie, Warlen." A warm smile comes from her as she notices Avalanche and Calamity. "I must say, you have to be warm there, sir. And, miss, I may have some clothing options for you. Actually all of you. Ask me at any point if you need to see my shop. And mentioning my shop-" "Sweetheart," William interjects, "they might be a little busy." "Oh, nonsense," she dismisses with a wave of her free hand. "They've been able to help me with my shop before, I'm sure they'll be able to now. They're only training soldiers anyway. If you Heroes do help, I can give each of you twenty gold." Quote
