Says the guy who has no ship yet (I wanted to say that your TC has no ships yet, but that's not true...) ... Our Old Catlle Manure Hauler floats and is able to transport our goods, so that will do the trick pirate_laugh2.gif

And hopefully that old cattle manure hauler will bring enough money in the pocket to licence this ship:

Yup, this lady is coming soon to the waters of BoBS!!!

Haha ! My dear Revon de Crocodil, you have sharpen your teeth as I see...

Please note well the MAESTRO company is by now the only one that have the courage to establish a Settlement in the newly discovered island of Berelli. Where are the other companies ? Did we lost you at sea ? ;p

So yes the coolest guys are the Eslandolan MAESTRO Members ! :D

Do remind me that next time you want shared Corrington science inventions, i will be saddling you up with Sybianotic Excretion Scrubbing Brush inserters...

Whew... the trashtalk is serious when it overflows one faction thread into another! You Greenies are vicious towards each other. We Corries could sit back with a flaggon of rum and bet on who throws the next punch, and urge you all on when it calms back down.

Allow me to wade in by saying the word "cool" is not even in the vocabulary of a proper Corry. We have more important matters to discuss.

The lady above will have the most impressive set of guns yet. I really do need to get busy finishing up mine...

Second place goes to Corrington MAESTRO members! But he, Umbra-Manis, did I hear something about stinking? Well, you may be right-but only because discovering new isles and building settlements can be dirty!

I'm sorry guys, but is thrastalking

not where this is all about? (I once heard someone say that at a BMA) I just love it!

Hey guys, what do you call an educated Eslandolan gentleman?

Noone knows, as there has never been a use for such a word! pirate_laugh2.gif

On a side note: That ship is looking great, Maxim - I like those curves and the stern gallery! pirate_satisfied.gif

But didn't you say something about the cost of guns somewhere, Maxim? It looks like you are the one who has been driving up their price! pirate_laugh2.gif

What do you call a Corringtonlander able to make his own living?

Noone knows, as there has never been a use for such a word!

I would not call IT a boat...

SHIP (in capital letters) in the meaning at least 100 studs long

It's definitely a ship.

Nice WIP Maxim! Can't wait to see the finished ship :classic:

(Or is it even a SHIP...?)

Actually, a vessel can only truly be called a ship if it is full rigged. (Three masts with square sails on all (Although the mizzen typically carries some fore-and-aft sails too). Otherwise, it is a brig, barque, or something else.

In short, most of the other vessels here are NOT ships, but this particular one could look like it will be! pirate_laugh2.gif

At least that is how it was in the age of sail in the British terminology! pirate_satisfied.gif

The vessel I've been working on is both a ship and a SHIP (just the hull alone - let alone the bowsprit and other rigging!) It started as another staff gift but then along came this Bob character and complicated matters...

Erh... Crossing info is required in scientific method... Isn't it ?

According Kabel in the presentation of Eslandola : Eslandians love their king but they don't... So it appears there are 2 valid terms. ;D

Allow me to correct you, Bregir. A ship is a loose term describing a large vessel is oceangoing and can travel in deep waters. A boat is a small light vessel that can carry few crew and can be propelled by small sails or oars.

Sadly, when I bought up a ton of soldiers and muskets, I forgot to buy cannon!!! This may make things interesting down the road.

Quite correct. Hence why the term "vessel" is used in most of the rules.

Just like Corlanders are also corries (which seems to have become more popular)

I just finished building my Moc for Challenge 1 Category A. However, I was trying to figure out if that counted toward my 2nd free build for the month or if it sat alone and I still have my 2nd slot available.

Also, there had been talk of using the 3 Royal Warships as escorts for the MRCA. Who do I need to talk to make sure my ship gets into the convoy (aka knows the proper route.)

Thankee, Ska.

I'd suggest everyone to read O'Brian's series of books on Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin - they are great books in their own right, plus they give a wonderful insight into life at sea in the Napoleonic era. :)

@silentwolf: Challenge builds do not count towards freebuilds. And i believe we will coordinate our MRCA later this month, most likely through a private conversation, to which we will all be invited.

@CaptainDee: That sounds... Awesome! Cant wait to see it!
