Bregir Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 General tradition in the GOH forums was to post a teaser pic that links to the thread of the free build, I am up for continuing it here, but I don't think it should be required. Seconded. //Bregir Quote

Ah. I see. When I said I don't think we need it I wasn't suggesting that people shouldn't do it - I just don't think it's really a necessary thing for the faction to function fully. I have no problem with that type of post - and if everyone did it all the time it would provide an easy look at all of the faction's MOCs. I will definitely keep this in mind for my own builds. Quote
Puvel Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Do we have a plan for the MCRA and EGS (as in are we trying to create a couple of big cities or lots of small ones, things like that)? Quote
Captain Dee Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 Do we have a plan for the MCRA and EGS (as in are we trying to create a couple of big cities or lots of small ones, things like that)? You have some tough questions! I can't answer this directly but I'm guessing it will be open to whatever you, the members, want to build. There would be big and small in the real world and there are numerous classifications in the game rules (town, city, large city etc). Since it's necessary to build one's way up the charts (at least for gameplay) eventually you can expect to see all sizes simultaneously. But since we've just started that will take a while! Quote
SkaForHire Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 Ideally, even if you are not playing in the EGS or the MCRA games, building up a settlement helps your teammates who do, and your faction in general. There will be at least one settlement on each island we own. After we take formal possession of an island, Corrington leadership will offer the settlement up to the members first (we actually have someone lined up for the first island, not to say that more than one person couldn't put a settlement up). If nobody automatically puts up a settlement, the leadership will create a "capital" settlement for the island. Quote
Puvel Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 You have some tough questions! …. Hehe, sorry about that! I used to play a lot of Civilization and the decisions at the start of the game were always very important. Was asking about MCRA since SkaForHire posted something about sending PMs to coordinate the fleet a while ago. Lots of people probably want to be mayor of their own little village since you get an income for that. The amount of properties needed to grow is quite high though and there will be the character development thingy so maybe some people would prefer growing a city together. We don’t really know anything about the character skill tree yet so thinking about that might be a bit early indeed I also have another question that probably takes months or maybe years before it’s actually applicable but I read this: 'A builder can control up to 5 civil servants, but each position must have a different character attributed to it, and a mayor cannot be a civil servant at the same time.' I understand the mayor can’t be his own civil servants (even if he uses different characters) in his settlement, but does this mean that if you’re a mayor anywhere you can’t become a civil servant in another place? Corrington does have 3 large Warships at its disposal for escorting other ships. Not being a Corry, I'm not sure what the status on those is, but probably Ska can let you in on the plans for those, in case you want to join a group under escort. The Mayor's pay is really rather small comparatively speaking, so no need to be too crazy about landing a mayor's slot! From my understanding, a player may control a mayor and civil servant(s) in the same settlement, but cannot use the same character/minifigure as a civil servant and mayor in the same settlement. Bregir Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Brickwolf - I like the choice of inspiration - should make for an interesting storyline! And I feel like I should let you know that the banter you have just been exposed to above was meant as nothing more. ;) It is simply the way lesser nations seek to bring down our glorious Corrington! SilentWolf Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Do we have a plan for a trade route on the MRCA? Or should I be finding my own group? I am not entirely sure how it all works but I am trying to figure it out. Also welcome to Corrington, Brickwolf! I like the theme of your sig fig and I look forward to seeing more of their storyline. SkaForHire Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 Since we don't want to make our routes public, PM me or Mike S, and we will give you the details. Right now we have Route A - The Risky Route (3 stops) - Escorted by Pandora Route B - The less risky route (3 stops) - Escorted by Queen's Glory And perhaps Route C - Which will be a two stop, higher risk journey, and we will assign Mermaid there if any Corlanders join that venture. If not, I propose we send Mermaid on the Risky Route. We have some coordination with Eslandola, and I believe they will be adding some of their ships to these routes. Right now it looks like ESL and COR are business partners. Quote
TitusV Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 And for the better that is, we being partners! What can stand the combined might of DBs and Science? Let's crush these filty pirates and filthier bluecoats! Quote
