The new 40608 Halloween vip add on pack includes a Pearl dark grey eye slit helmet for the first time in 3 years! Given that the Blacktron and bionicle prints were added to PAB it is possible this will be too! They could also use it in the Majisto GWP or medieval village.

Either way it's a win, both work great for black falcons and haven't been around for a while.

The black version has been available due to its inclusion in 10305.

Sorry I misunderstood which helmet they were talking about, I thought it was referring to the flip visor helmet.

The new Harry Potter set has a dragon head. I'm not sure whether it's a new mold, but it makes me wonder if they might plan to reuse it for a dragon knights set in the near future.

It looks like a new mold to me and I like it. It is huge! It screams „Zombie“ dragon.

I dont like brickbuilt animals with molded heads. Maybe I can stick this Dragon head on the white clone-brand indominus rex I bought from Aliexpress some time ago. I like the wing design of the Gringotts Dragon though.

I’m not a fan of buildable animals myself but I agree with you on head and wings. They look great for medieval sets. I would be happy to see a new dragon body mold but, unfortunately,  Ninjao is famous for buildable dragons so i don’t think we will see a body mold for dragon.

However, i agree with you no the head for Dragon Knights!

I recently watched a few episodes of the Dreamzzz animated serie, and I definitely hope there will be a set for the Murky Realms: it could bring us evil sirens, an evil witch, and - fingers crossed - her pink and black crow. And perhaps a bubbling cauldron, and vials...:wub_drool:

I could imagine using the new butterfly from the new insect set as a mount for fantasy warriors. Maybe also the other insects. There is for example a Warhammer Elven Queen on a giant bug.

Mantis mount would remind me of the Golden Axe arcade game too.

These insects are giants compared to minifigure scale though.

Mini 6073 possible GWP posted by @Falconfan1414 on IG. Cute, but it just looks like a tablescrap build with the extra parts from the Lion Knights’ Castle. The two types of printed statuettes/nanofigs are nice; it looks like a Black Falcon and a Forestman. Unfortunately no white pennant flags, which are still only available in the old version. 🫤

I appreciate the intention to release a new set from the Castle universe but it looks like a wasted opportunity to release something interesting. I won't get it.

I've never been a fan of the microfigures.

If they made them in the style of their Game pieces (Heroica), I would be all over it.  Black Falcon and Forestman Game Microfigures?  I'd buy em by the dozen.

This is supposedly a GWP or other promotion, not a regular set.

Don't know where to post this, but I am just curious if Lego would make 'vintage' Octan theme set?

I am not a particular fan but this just crossed my mind. Lego released those collectible 'coins' some time back: Space, Castle, Pirates, and Octan.

It seems that they have already released revival sets for the first three, including some subthemes, I'm wondering if there might be an "Octan/ City"set classic that could join these recent sets?

What would a "vintage" Octan/Town set look like, aside from just another City set? Basically everything from classic Town has been remade under City (6594, 3180), so the only way to make something "vintage" would be to revert to simple construction and printing. 🫤

I suppose LEGO could do something like 10184 that hearkens back to the mid-century modern architecture of pre-minifig Town models, but at minifig scale. Or they could make a new version of a large and highly specific model like 1589, 1592, or 6390 without the degree of "modernization" that City "main square" type sets tend to entail, and at a more adult-targeted level of complexity. But I think some of that carries the risk of seeming too much like the sort of subject matter featured in the Modular Buildings, but without the back walls and modular connections that fans of those sets have come to expect.

I suppose there's also plenty of potential for LEGO to make a smaller "throwback" set as a GWP: for example, a more adult-targeted redesign of iconic but otherwise simplistic sets like 6595 or 6350. That said, most of the 18+ GWP sets covering modern/20th-century subject matter have been either vehicles to accompany the Modular Buildings or Ideas contest winners like Sailboat Adventures.

One "throwback" set with 20th-century subject matter which we HAVE already seen at that sort of GWP size/budget is 40409, though it was referencing a much larger Model Team set (but at minifig scale) rather than a classic Town set, and preceded the introduction of the classic-inspired box art we've seen for subsequent "throwback" sets based on other themes. I think that's a good sign that a re-imagined Town set could exist as a GWP in the future without conflicting too much with other product lines.

But I also feel like the decision for more recent "throwback" sets of this sort to focus primarily on sets and themes that don't correspond as neatly to current themes (like Castle, Pirates, Space, and Bionicle) is not accidental. So a classic Town redesign might have to "wait in line" a bit behind other, less City-ish set redesigns that LEGO is considering for future exclusives and GWPs.

The new viking village has some amazing recolors! Nougat barrel, nougat grilles (for straw), white stems, white ferns, and a few other gold and brown parts used for architectural details. Along with a smorgasbord of tasty printed parts as well!

That Viking village exceeds expectations! The Viking design on the "boards" looks like a sticker, which is a real shame. But those shields have to be printed, right? No way those are stickers on that convex shield piece?

The reddish brown tiles with gold snakes look printed to me.

The nougat barrels are not new.

Agreed. Also, the fact that the same pattern is used repeatedly across the model suggests that these are printed (since if LEGO were going to use stickers, why not make different designs?).

There shouldn´t be any stickers in that set, which is pretty nice. Also the brown tiles can be used pretty good as decoration in other sets, so one more reason why Lego wouldn´t use stickers for them ;).
