As for factions that could be interesting, a seafaring faction with a serpent or kraken would be cool.

Had to scroll back a few pages to find this, but that was a good guess!

Maybe this is true, but I don't think that Lego wanting an exclusive minifigure in the set and Lego developing the faction further in the future are mutually exclusive.

Considering that LEGO’s focus lately has been on reviving classic factions, and given the complete absence of 20th Century factions in the poll (such as the Black Knights or Dragon Masters), I am leaning towards this being a one-off.

It's not like they're going to go out of their way to never touch the faction again for the sake of the second-hand market.

Fair point; the crow option shows that LEGO is not opposed to remaking more obscure-but-popular factions.

I would be interested to see all four options ranked, since I wonder how much the votes will be split. <..snip..>
For Castle, we might see the new-and-different side split between the kraken and griffin, with the give-us-faction-variants side voting for the crow.

This is a very weak metric, but I see on the Lego Castle Discord the 'reacts' to the announcement as follows.

That's 77 Kraken > 65 Crows > 56 Griffons > 14 Bulls

Plus enough people working in unison to spell out 'RAVENS' :pir-love:

I hope the Kraken will emerge victorious! It makes for a cool seafaring faction. The colors are interesting and it actually reminds me of Game of Thrones (House Greyjoy had different colors tohugh, but featured a Kraken in their heraldy)

Gryphon looks like it would fit right in with the classic castle factions, which makes it the superior choice.

True, but we've already seen the red and silver color palate a number of times, including the white falcons, cmf fright knights, and kingdoms lion knights. I voted krakens mostly because they're blue tone color palate is so unique compared to anything we've seen before.

whoever didn’t vote for Krakens is essentially just trying to deny Lego fans of the coolest castle faction yet.

Calm down  it's a preliminary heraldic symbol for a one-off minifigure and nobody knows how the minifigure will end up looking.

I think it's perfectly valid for some people to instead want to opt for something that will be new but that is more likely fit in with what they already have.

I think the Kraken is the clear choice here IMO. Only thing I'd adjust is one of the colors to tone it down a tad. I'd love to get more affordable Raven knights too, but I think this shows that Lego is aware of the ridiculous aftermarket price on them and has plans to address it one way or another. The Krakens will bring a whole new flavor to castle that we've been missing. Bulls and Griffins are cool too but the old bull shields are good enough to use with modern shields and the Griffins are super bland especially with the popularity of Harry Potter.

The new deku tree set finally recolored the heart tile in green. Hopefully we get it unprinted soon since it is a fantastic part for smaller scale leaves.

The Grey goat and the wolfpack torso are coming to PAB in July

Along with the MTS peasant torsos, I assume? I look forward to placing an order for these sometime in December! 😬

So the leaked image of the Dnd cmf was true.  There are so many great pieces and prints in this series.  It will be great for customizing minifigs.  There are no flesh prints on the torso except for Szass Tam's skeletal chest.  Lot's of great new molds like the ax, daggar, several heads and and hairpieces.  The printed sparrow looks great and that baby dragon looks amazing.

Since its in two other sets (one with another color), it shouldn't be.

I hope its just delayed for PAB becauce the whole production is needed for the DnD set for the time being.

When do we (realistically) think there will be any news on which factions were picked for the Minifigure Prize Machine?

From my super secret inside source… In the spirit of true prize machines, each set will have a mystery faction from all listed in the vote. The chance of a specific faction will be reflected from the vote results. The more popular the faction, the lower chance it will be in the set you purchase. The lower popularity factions from the vote will be more likely to be in the set. 😉 But seriously, it would be fun to see more than one of the factions show up in future sets or CMFs!

I don´t think they will announce any results for this, so we would have for the set reveal - if there weren´t leakers that will spill it way earlier that that. Not sure if we should expect it to happen this year though - it is possible, but I wouldn´t bet on it.

CMF Series 27 will include a “Wolfpack Beastmaster”! No word yet on which beasts specifically will be included, whether we will get a shield, etc, but Wolfpack variant == immediate army-builder (for me, at least!)!

I'm hoping for an actual wolf.

That would be my hope too, but for that the name kinda doesn´t fit. I mean sure, it wouldn´t be that uncommon to call a wolf beast, but then it would probably have a more beastly look than looking like an actual natural wolf. They could aswell just add some fantasy beast ofc.

Well eitherway, I guess it will be a figure that many people would want eitherway, especially if they would add a shield - I wouldn´t get my hopes up to much either though, since beastmaster isn´t really something that would have to have one - not including it on the other side would seem like a wasted opportunity to me though.
