It may have been taken down. Brickset lists three set numbers so far. Quote

valon Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 i said this earlier, but i think that world builder would be the best way to get a historic theme made. It would probably have to be made not as violent and have fantasy elements and bright colors, but it could be done. I think that a pirates and castle theme would work well, with a castle faction having a port castle and fighting agianst viking or elf/dwarf/fanatsy creature pirates as well as another castle faction. Maybe the ships could be a little bit like a viking boat or medieval a galley, with cannons and features like that of a pirate ship. maybe the soldiers on ships could have conquistador helmets and medieval armor. i also with maybe a medieval city built by port. i think lego could make a theme like that, it could be like nexo knights, but castle and pirates instead of castle and space with i think would work better. I lego knockoff company made a theme a little bit like this wich i think lego could do, but lego would probably make it alot better Quote
valon Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 also if you had to pick between nexo knights and knights kingdom 2, wich one do you like better ? Quote
MAB Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 I don't see how LEGO would do it much better. The boat is essentially Naida's epic ship from Elves, and the Castle part looks rather LEGO like too. Quote
valon Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 (edited) i mean a theme like it, that theme is a copy of lego ( but i do think that the knock off theme looks better then nexo knights ) Edited December 8, 2020 by valon Quote

Nexo was a mash up of castle/space with some fantasy elements. This Enlighten stuff is straight up fantasy which lego has done before. I think Nexo knights villains were pretty good. Yeah Nexo knights had a lot of vehicles but they base that off of the research that kids like that kind of stuff. Now lets hope Mythica is actually a series of sets too. If Mythica does have sets hopefully they have good or great figs and some nice new dragons, griffons, etc. Quote

wanderer1980 Posted January 8, 2021 Posted January 8, 2021 the new Black Falcon Torsos will be amazing for castle army builder ! Quote
Aanchir Posted January 10, 2021 Posted January 10, 2021 (edited) Oh, there are also a bunch of new parts that may not have been brought up yet which I feel have tremendous potential for historic sets and/or MOCs! spiky bushes in Earth Green, rubber hose/rope pieces in Reddish Brown 3x2 shields/plates with handle in Reddish Brown 1x4 masonry bricks in Med. Stone Grey 1x4x2 ornate fences in Reddish Brown turbans in Dark Red ghost/flame swords in Tr. Flu. Green/Medium Lilac katanas in Reddish Brown (great for "training" swords) "page cut" hair in Bright Orange "princess hair" with bun and braid in Reddish Brown flames/plumes in Tr. Med. Reddish Violet 4x4 plates with 3x3 quarter circle cutout in Dark Azur and Sand Yellow (I've been REALLY eager for more colors of this part since it's great for building winding rivers or streams like the ones in the old Forestmen sets). 3x3 left wedge slopes and right wedge slopes in Sand Yellow (again, great for landscaping, especially along waterways) 3x6 left wedge plates and right wedge plates in Dark Green (same) Ninjago weapon assortments in Bright Green 1x1x2/3 droid heads in Bright Red (great for mushrooms) 1x6x7 arches in Med. Stone Grey, and glass/panes for those arches in Dark Stone Grey. 1x4x6 window/door frames in Sand Green 1x2x2, 1x4x3, and 1x3x3 (!!!) window frames in Dark Brown. cabinet doors and shutters for 1x4x3 frames in Sand Yellow. Will add more later! EDIT with a couple more: 3x3x2 round bricks/columns in Medium Stone Grey Vine with thorns in Dark Green Edited January 11, 2021 by Aanchir Quote
zoth33 Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 @Aanchir those are some nice parts. My son just got that Ninjago master of elements set the weapons in green a great color that could be used for wood elves, or dryads. I really like the earth green bush. The new face on the ghost in the $10 Cole battle set is awesome love that print, has to be one of my favorites. Quote
Aurore Posted January 12, 2021 Posted January 12, 2021 Thank you @Aanchir for this quite comprehensive list! I would add the following accessories / decor elements : - sack in white (from BAM) - lattice fence in medium stone grey / light bley - lantern with printed cow - awesome koi printed tiles! - trans blue opal crystal ball And the following minifig parts : - this printed torso from the Story of Nian, that may look nice in a fantasy setting too - villain stand in green - new hood part (white and dark red) And quite a few nice recoloured parts for vegetation/landscaping : - mop head in bright green (from the Story of Nian) - candle in bright green (from the Spring Festival Lantern) and sand yellow (from the Colosseum), and also in coral for those who enjoy alien vegetation - plant plate with leaves in bright bluish green / dark turquoise (from the Mario character packs) - plant with 3 stems in white (from the Mario character packs) - large limb element in spring yellowish green (from the Ninjago City Garden) - claws in dark green (from the Ninjago City Garden) Quote
Aurore Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 (edited) Photos of the next Monkie Kid sets have been released! New nice minifig parts again, including a new outfit for the Spider Queen and the fur collar part recolored in black. And wow, the (very fantasy) mountain set is absolutely marvellous... Lyichir Posted February 5, 2021 Posted February 5, 2021 Also possibly of interest to historic builders are the new roof slopes shown here (also appearing on the big spider base). Should be great for Asian architecture but could potentially have some creative uses in other styles as well. Quote

I'd need to hold one in my hand to be 100% certain, but I have a few ideas brewing just from that picture. Quote

That looks like it has a lot of great parts! Rather unfortunate placement of the blue cloud behind the flying bird, though... Quote
Lord Insanity Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Wow. Flower Fruit Mountain is fantastic. That is exactly the sort of mythology based set I was hoping for when I first heard Lego was making sets based on Journey to the West. The Monkey Kid theme is not anything remotely historical fantasy normally though. That set could drop right in a Castle and/or Elven fantasy layout rather easily too. Here's hoping we see more historical Chinese mythology based sets in the future. Quote
Murdoch17 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 I think flower fruit mountain might work in a pirates setting too, on some tropical island. Quote
Aurore Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Promobricks.de released a description of the summer Harry Potter wave, and once again we may get interesting stuff for medieval-fantasy settings (especially in the Hogsmeade and Hogwarts castle sets). Let's also hope we'll get minifig parts useable for medieval civilians - I have high expectations of the Madame Rosmerta minifig. And there will be a harp! Promobricks does not explicitely states it as a new mold though, but I don't think they would mention it if it was brick-built. Quote
zoth33 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Flower fruit mountain does look fantastic. The figs are amazing and the whole build looks fun. I will probably mod the interior sections to add some details. The Harry Potter sets will probably have some figs I will want to get and will have to see the builds to see if I will be buying the sets. Quote
Aurore Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 I had not checked IG for a while, but there are a few interesting leaks over there. There is a kriss-shaped dagger coming in the Disney Raya theme, and her hat/hair combo may be useful for fantasy MOC. I'm eager to see better photos of the sets! Not as nice as Monkie Kid's Flower Fruit Mountain, but they seem pretty enough. Minifigs from the Vidiyo theme have leaked too, I absolutely love the Genie! Both her lower body and torso parts would be nice for fantasy characters, and she comes with a printed tambourine! The ghost lady may be of interest for dark fantasy too. Quote
