That would be my hope too, but for that the name kinda doesn´t fit. I mean sure, it wouldn´t be that uncommon to call a wolf beast, but then it would probably have a more beastly look than looking like an actual natural wolf. They could aswell just add some fantasy beast ofc.

Well eitherway, I guess it will be a figure that many people would want eitherway, especially if they would add a shield - I wouldn´t get my hopes up to much either though, since beastmaster isn´t really something that would have to have one - not including it on the other side would seem like a wasted opportunity to me though.

It wouldn't necessarily have a beastly look and yes a wolf is considered a beast.  I don't see them making some random fantasy beast for this as most fantasy beasts are to big for a blind box.  Or who knows maybe they will just recolor the Dreamzzz raven and give the Beastmaster an actual Raven though that's probably unlikely.

The thing is, would Lego really want to call a normal wolf a beast? I mean they have been hunted and killed for centuries  because people made stories about them and feared them. I can´t really see Lego going that route.

I could see them doing the Wolfpack Bandit with a normal Wolf however, but then I don´t think Lego will call it Beastmaster - but wouldn´t be the first time we get some missleading/missinterpreted descriptions of those figures.

As for non fantasy a wolf, bear, tiger, lion, etc are considered beasts in many iterations of movies, literature, art, etc.

There even was a line of toys called Battle beasts in the 90's in which I had several of and were just regular everyday animals we have in this world with armor like a panther, bat, rhino, elephant, duck, lion, racoon, mouse, horse, hawk, etc.

I get what you mean. But Lego does have certain values and I do kinda belive that they wouldn´t want to mark a wolf as the big bad wolf really.

But as I said above, we were probably putting to much weight in the beastmaster description anyways, who knows what that the Wolfpack-Bandit will be called in the end. Wolftamer maybe?

Probably putiing to much thought on the beastmaster title.  I'm just hoping for a proper wolf instead of using the LOTR/Hobbit wargs for wolves as they are really large.

I agree that the name could just be a mistranslation- kennel master etc. would work. I can’t see them doing another animal apart from a wolf. Interestingly I read somewhere this week that the designers view the dog with the ranger in the D&D CMFs as a wolf.

Probably just something the leaker called it since it comes with an animal (maybe even 2) and not an official name.

That shouldn´t be a concern as they should be to large to be included in a CMF - they would probably make a good beast eitherway though.

Yeah, that one doesn´t look like a wolf to me at all. And that has been my concern all along, that they will make a wolf that looks more like a dog than an actual wolf. So lets hope it turns out well.

Well that was exactly my point ;).

The gargoyles in the Wednesday set look fantastic for gothic castle architecture.

Yeah, they are even more useful than the CMF gargoyle figure at that size. I imagine they will start appearing in many MOCs, not just in historical and fantasy gothic but also in Batman MOCs and even as little gothic statues in gardens.

Y'all gonna be disappointed when there's no animal, just a Wolfpack guy with a wolf mask on.

‘Breatmaster’ might suggest that minifigure  would merge with an animal, rather than themselves with a mask.

But….i do think a beast ther wears a wolf mask does sound cool to. Me.

A recolor of the Ninjago baddies' one available now?  A human that wears a wolfmask in natural colors with a Wolfpack torso would still be cool and very creepy for a group of bandits.  That would be relatively cheap for Lego for the CMF, so an animal is still likely.

Pictures of the new serie have leaked, the wolfpack beastmaster comes with a black hood, a sword, a shield and a light bluish grey🐺   😍

Yeah he looks great and the wolf looks awesome.

The Wolfpack beast master looks good! I am a bit disappointed that the torso seems fairly similar to the MTS one, as I had hoped for some leather armour or fur pelt printing. The shield and wolf are excellent, though, and I hope that the legs are printed and dual-moulded!
Also, I have seen people commenting that the sword is a new part, but I think it is just the same one used by the Raven/Crow tournament knight (not that I would not appreciate a new sword mould!).

The sword isn't new it's the same Longsword you mentioned from the tournament knight.  I think people are just hoping for a new mold for the sword but it's not you can see it the same crossguard.

Forgive my ignorance on this, but is the circular shield (with what looks like 2 sea serpents on it) from the 2-in-1 Deku Tree likely to be IP locked? I think it looks good for a Viking one, so it would be handy if it would appear on pick a brick at some point. Thank you in advance!

Yeah that's straight from the games that will be locked up Nintendo don't mess around with things like that.

There are the viking shields from the viking village set on PAB do you have those?  Those shields are very nice.
