Maybe its already asked but is the wolfpack torso from the village set the same as the cmf one?

Nope. The torso from the Town Square set has a tabard, belt with pouch and coin purse, and gray fur collar, while the one from the upcoming CMF has what looks like leather armor and a black collar or gorget with metal studs (matching the printed legs with metal-studded belt).

Yeah and it comes in 2 different colors.  It will be interesting to see what people come up with for customs.

For those interested in Fantasy Era 2.0. I keep forgetting to say, the new upcoming Ninjago 'draconian' minifigs look like a great augmentation to your Nexo lava monster army.

And on the flip side, Nexo Knights lava monsters can be used to augment a Dragonian army!

I just saw the box image of 31161 Green Dragon. The dragon itself is really quite good for those interested in fantasy medieval themes. As for me, I’m choosing to read far too much into the background image. Squint and that looks vaguely reminiscent of the old 6074 Black Falcon Fortress. Let’s hope it’s a little tease of something to come in a subsequent year.

Update: perhaps it’s this 31168 Medieval Knight Castle that has just cropped up!

That dragon really is excellent, and I like the homage to Majisto’s dragon with the green body and red wings! Also, that castle in the back is absolutely the MKC - LEGO has been putting other (available) sets into the backgrounds of new sets for a while (most noticeably in the 2025 City sets), and what we see is a slightly larger/rearranged version of the previous 3-in-1 castle (which fits the $120 price)!

What a great surprise! It seemed like we had another year or so to go before seeing a new offering.

I think that we will see Castle 18+ Icons sets on a two-year cycle, but with Creator sets and one-offs like the Viking Village interspersed throughout. LEGO is smart enough to see that there is a market for Castle sets, so I think that they will make a point of putting something new out each year!

The green dragon Creator set looks excellent. For Eurobricks regulars, this set is designed by Aaron Newman, who before he worked at Lego was a prolific MOCer here under the username @Nuju Metru and was responsible for the impressive Dragon Lands fan theme. I've been impressed with his work on Creator animals, and it's great to see him finally get to put out an excellent brick-built dragon as an official set!

That's good.  I liked a lot of his work with Dragon Lands and he has some great ideas.  Maybe Nuju and Soccerkid will be able to work on a full on castle theme one day that would be great to see what they come up with.

Holy shit! If we ever get a full Castle theme, he needs to be the lead designer (Fantasy Era 2.0, anyone?)!!

If we're fancasting designers for a Castle theme I'd also propose Wes Talbott, who designed the Medieval Blacksmith, Great Deku Tree, and Dungeons & Dragons sets among many others (including some of my favorite Elves sets). He's another one of my favorite medieval/fantasy designers.

Yeah get them all in there and have a great team for the theme.  That would be wonderful to see what they would come up with.

Another great choice! Was Wes Talbott the one who had been designing updated versions of classic Castle factions in his spare time, or was that the other designer on the MB? 🤔
