September 22, 20159 yr On the subject of X-Wings, I think there's a good chance one of the Force Awakens Microfighters is a grey and blue one. I seriously doubt we'd get a system scale one while Poe's is still on shelves, but a Microfighter is different enough to warrant two X-Wings available at the same time. Plus, they could give us an exclusive pilot instead of the generic one that came with Poe's X-Wing.
September 22, 20159 yr So in January what Star wars TFA sets are we getting and what minifigs are in them??? Battlepack resistance Battlepack first order Takodana Pirate something

However, I am still holding out hope for a TFA Y-Wing/A-Wing/B-Wing, and a Microfighter would be the perfect place to have one of those.
September 23, 20159 yr Id suggest buying the black/orange, improving the design to your own taste, and then bricklinking the parts for the blue/white versions No way. Way too many parts to bricklink, and I would want LEGO's official version. The whole model is black/orange, it's not an easy palette-swap.
September 23, 20159 yr No way. Way too many parts to bricklink, and I would want LEGO's official version. The whole model is black/orange, it's not an easy palette-swap. So what? The whole set contains 800+ Parts, thats nearly "nothing"..
September 23, 20159 yr So what? The whole set contains 800+ Parts, thats nearly "nothing".. It's not 'nothing' when your budget is already around that of the kit's RRP..
September 23, 20159 yr It's not 'nothing' when your budget is already around that of the kit's RRP.. Download the instructions and bricklink the parts in whatever color and substitutions you would want. It would be cheaper than the official set and more than likely fall cleanly within your budget.
September 24, 20159 yr So in January what Star wars TFA sets are we getting and what minifigs are in them??? Battlepack resistance Battlepack first order Takodana Pirate something Microfighter Microfighter Hero Battle Pack Villain Battle Pack Battle on Takodana The Pirate Transport First Order Stormtrooper Constraction Figure I don't know which minifigs Will Come with them. Maybe somebody can inform us about that here on eurobricks? Edited September 24, 20159 yr by Brickthusiast
September 24, 20159 yr Ooh! Just saw the write up CM4Sci did about the non-tFA sets. Sounds good! Really really keen to get the Droid escape set! A smaller set with Jawas? Sign me up! Does anyone know what price it looks like it'll be? I can't imagine I'll pass it up regardless of price, but it'd be really nice if it was like 20$. Maybe that's wishful thinking though. The battlepacks: are they OT or Rebels? If they're OT then I'm really pleased, since it's been a while since we got a battlepack with generic stormies. Rebel troopers are a welcome addition to! Particularly since it sounds like there'll be a rodian! If it's Rebels, then I'll definitely pass them up. The Rebels storm troo
September 24, 20159 yr The battlepacks: are they OT or Rebels? Technically neither. They are from SW Battlefront game. Should be basically OT based, but who knows...
September 24, 20159 yr The Pirate Transport I am willing to bet that this kit will be an interior scene and come with one or two... Some mild TFA plot (not character) spoilers here, be warned: ...of those giant pig-like things we've seen in leaked photos from as far back as last year. Rumors and spoilers compiled mostly from MSW suggests that the Pirate Transport is a super-gigantic spacecraft (making an interior scene more likely) filled with the plunder of pirates. The Heroes must take flight with their ship and somehow triggering a stampede of these beasts helps them escape.... I think it's reasonable to take a guess that the set is based on this action scene. It could be funny and exciting and hey... giant space pigs! I'd also bet on more Kanjiklub members to be the bad guys of this set. Hopefully I'm wrong and Lego provides us with a whole ship, interior and exterior. Or maybe it's a smaller kit so that people can collect Finn and old Han minifigs without major dropping mad dollars on that Falcon. Edited September 26, 20159 yr by darththeling
September 24, 20159 yr I'd also bet on more Kanjiklub members to be the bad guys of this set. I think it's a bit more likely to be Guavian Gang members... in the Behind the Scenes video from SDCC, you see two Guavian Enforcers (link to the Black Series 6" figure) running down what looks like a ship's corridor.
September 24, 20159 yr ^^^ Could be a number of gangs, the set would likely be a bunch of random characters we have discussed. Which main characters included is another question.
September 25, 20159 yr ^^^ Could be a number of gangs, the set would likely be a bunch of random characters we have discussed. Which main characters included is another question. Han, perhaps... Especially if a number of gangs are still after Han, as mentioned in the "Smuggler's Run" young adult novel (the prologue/epilogue is set somewhat close to TFA, with Han telling a story about him & the Falcon to some guys in a bar) On the subject of X-Wings, I think there's a good chance one of the Force Awakens Microfighters is a grey and blue one. Plus, they could give us an exclusive pilot instead of the generic one that came with Poe's X-Wing. Greg Grunberg's pilot character would be a good, simple choice... a little new deco on the helmet (his helmet seems to have some blue by the 'cheeks'), and a new head or maybe this head from POP for his bearded look, it'd work nicely. Other nice alternatives would be Poe himself, in his non-pilot outfit with a white & blue helmet (like some of the figures Hasbro's released... same jacket Finn later wears, nice basic SW clothes underneath) or Atsy, the "Bullhead" pilot, but he might require a special head/helmet. I'm not sure how good it'd look, printing his head on a standard minifig head.

I bet they could just print his face on a minifigure head too. I know he's a different species, but they just printed the alien head on the Resistance Ground Crewman and he turned out really good.
September 25, 20159 yr Add my vote to Ello Atsy! He is really cool and I hope we get plenty of new aliens in the Lego waves to come also PZ4 droid too. Exciting time to be a SW fan with a new trilogy of characters on the horizon.

September 26, 20159 yr First order is so much mroe exciting than empire, we've ahd foor too much of that for far too long. Not exactly. Only just this year has Lego finally gotten the TIE fighter correct with the Rebels one and the FO TIE. We need reworks of all other TIEs in this modern, perfected style: Vader's, the Interceptor, the Bomber are the highest priorities.

We need reworks of all other TIEs in this modern, perfected style: Vader's, the Interceptor, the Bomber are the highest priorities. Interceptor and Bomber first if you ask me, Vader at least has 8017, which is color correct, and there is a color correct Tie as well, way better then the blue monstrosities of the interceptor and bomber.
September 26, 20159 yr ST is priority, more stuff to come and Lego knows this. OT and PT will be the side projects with catering to the SW fans belonging to the old guard. It's time we reinvigorate the franchise with new blood. Wait until TFA releases and becomes one of the highest rated SW movies since ESB. Then we will see the emergence of a far more relevant and relatable universe. Don't believe me keep in mind ROTS had higher reviews than ROTJ. All that's needed is to topple ANH or ESB so the ST reaches eternal acclaim. Lego and Hasbro will focus almost all efforts on ST merchandise when this inevitability becomes reality.
September 27, 20159 yr I don't think reviews have anything to do with the much longer lasting legacy of the trilogies. If, in 40 years, we're able to look back at the ST with the same feeling that we do with the OT then it's done it's job. I don't think the ST overtaking the OT in acclaim is 'inevitable'... it's possible. But until the whole trilogy is complete we really can't judge them... we certainly can't judge the success of a single part of a trilogy several months before it's release. The ST will be given the main focus on many Lego waves during the release cycle of the films but once they're all released we'll see where they all sit. I think once the nine of them are out we may see a more even split between each trilogy but with regards to where things focus the OT still has a big say in current material with Rebels and Rogue One taking place during that era... and who knows what other spin off films we'll get after Solo.
September 27, 20159 yr Have the prelims leaked online?? I usually don't get hyped so much for some mere prelims since they don't offer the final product but I want to have some idea of what the sets will look like. Eurobricks welcome your new Count Edited September 27, 20159 yr by LOTR34
