The Battle On Takodana price is annoying, but the set makes up for it -Finn, Unmasked Kylo(in a cheapish set), Maz, And 2 Stormtroopers( With TR8R :D)

The snowspeeder was cheaper but had less figures.

But you can get 4 minfigs including 2 stormies for £11.99 in the FO battle pack. The price for 75139 is just crazy.

Yes, the minifigures in the Takadona set are great, but the set itself is way too small and boring for the amount of money you pay for the set (The price per piece count ratio are also terrible  ). And also, I don't think I would consider a 60 dollar set with 409 piece a "cheapish" set at all. :sceptic:

The Battle On Takodana (...) cheapish set

The set costs 69,99 euro here, for only 409 pieces. Over 17 cents a piece. That price really is beyond consideration for me. If I want Kylo Ren, I'd buy that shuttle.

Here's what I'm thinking for the jakku encounter set

I think it should include Poe, lord San takka, bb-8, and Finn with the blood streaks on his Stormtrooper helmet

Bet you a nickel that if it shows up at all, Finn's

blood-streaked

helmet would be in the Finalizer.

That puts it in a set where an adult will more likely be involved in the purchase

Then "Encounter on Jakku", which is apparently going to be a smaller set, will have less

direct evidence of violence

in it.

The price is sadly real. What a disgrace. :sceptic:

14 cents per peice. Or that bacon flag cost a lot

yeah this price is way too much for 409 pieces, even 45$ would have been better and more fair price. I mean even Resistance Transport is a bigger set and is better priced one. I fear that all sets based on new SW movies will be overpriced just like Force Friday wave of sets. I mean we all are going to still buy them because we love both SW and Lego, so we will have to accept that new sets will be overpriced, even if we don't like it. At least sets based on previous 6 movies will be priced normally.

for how long. Once they figure out we will pay anything they will raise the price.

The price sure is terrible for almost every TFA set, although they know that we will still buy it. My local shopping centre literally had no Star Wars lego at all after Christmas. I just hope that after the TFA hype dies down the prices will too

I'm only interested in the figures in the Takodana set. Finn and Kylo alone are going for close to $30 each at many aftermarket venues so those two justify buying the set in my eyes, especially since I don't want to buy another version of the MF or that shuttle. But I do agree; the set is $15 too expensive but that has been the MO for all of TFA line. The best way to change Lego's mind on their pricing is to vote with your wallet.

*Sees Takodana price*

*Loooks at TLG*

"Traitor!"

*Sees Takodana price*

*Looks at TLG*

*Looks at set again*

*Thinks: this is cheaper than bricklinking the figs*

*Buys the set*

JANGBRiCKS posted a video on YouTube of the US January 2016 catalog and it only showcases the first and second wave The Force Awakens sets. It excludes both microfighters even though the First Order Snowspeeder microfighter is out in the wild and it is listed on Shop@Home for a January 1st release date. This means that either that Lego wants to focus on its major money maker at the moment so they decided to exclude the rest of the line up from the catalog and they are still releasing everything else on January 1st or The Force Awakens sets are the only sets that will release on January 1st and rest of the line up will be delayed to a later date. Based on my last post on page 134, Lego did showcase the rest of the Nexo Knight sets and the Batman vs. Superman sets in this catalog so when these sets (non-Force Awakens sets) will be released it anyone's guess at this point. (Again, references to other themes it to support my point and is posted on this thread for convenience and release dates of Lego Star Wars sets have been mentioned on Pictures and Rumors forums in the past)

Eeesh, I sure hope Target keeps the $50 price that shows up when you search the DPCI. If not, I'll have to use my VIP money. $60 is outrageous.

This is exactly what I was going to do aswell. I'm waiting on a different set for BB8 and Poe.

The set is expensive when I already have Kylo from the Command shuttle set. I just need Finn but do I really need Maz and two FO Stormtroopers I can get cheaper? I like the build though and having a face for Kylo is nice.

I'm hoping for some obscure but cool-looking characters like Constable Zuvio or Sarco Plank in the Jakku set, but I know that's probably a bit of a stretch. Bobbajo, anyone?

If you can hold out until summer I would imagine Finn would be in a cheaper set. I could be wrong but with Finn being one of the main characters Lego should put him in as many sets as possible. At some point one of those sets should be at a reasonable price point. Then again, with TFA tax jacking up the price of each set by 220%...

The Takodana set is a definite no-go at that price. At $50 I'd have to debate it, but $60 for 409 pieces is laughable.

I'm not sure Constable Zuvio and Sarco Plank are really worth it. You know a character is too obscure when even die hard fans can't even find them in the movie and there's already been enough negativity over the action figures about it. Still would be nice to have Bobbajo though along with Teedo and Unkar Plutt.

So this is all totally related to rumours and images, right? Because for a second there I thought this was a bunch of guys arguing over a simple $10 increase on a single set that they can just NOT BUY IF THEY DON'T WANT TO.

Oh wait? Is this actually related to rumour and pictures? Am I gonna get tonnes of replies telling me that now that really patronise me and over-analyse this message? Guess I should be quiet then!

I can see it from both views... Including those figures in a set give us exclusive and new minifigure parts... something we wouldn't always see in an average set.

But, you have to remember the target audience is kids, you want to also include characters they enjoy and remember from the films as an incentive for them to buy the set.
