markw Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 The freezing chamber is where it all happens in Cloud City. I can't see any other set (apart from perhaps the vane where Luke and Vader have their 'moment') selling in any great numbers. Kids aren't going to buy a SW Lego dining room set. Quote
hachiroku Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Kids aren't going to buy a SW Lego dining room set. You are ¿underestimating? the kids. Believe me, there is not so much difference between AFOLs and kids. Quote
Zzz Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 There are a couple of sets that I find interesting, mainly the Battlefront packs, if they are close enough to the movie figures. Still, other races on the sides of the rebels would be amazing. And not only snow and camo gear, please. I don't expect much from the freeze chamber, to be honest. I think the scene lives from all the characters that cross pathes here: Vader, Fett, Leia, Han, Lando, Chewie, 3PO. I can't see them adding more than 4 figs, so this is the light version of the Freeze chamber. Cooling chamber perhaps. Couldn't care less about the micro fighters this wave, couldn't say anything about E7 stuff for obvious reasons, but 2 other things: Escape pod? Hoth set? We just had a pod which was an amazing set and isn't even that expensive these days, I honestly don't see a reason to already have another one. And we're getting a 250€ Hoth base and got tons of sets in the past years. Why the 30€ set? Where is the Dagobah set we're all waiting for, Lego? Quote
General Magma Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I'll be fine with the Bespin set as long as they add in an Ugnaught figure. Quote

Thats probably why we're getting the Carbon Chamber released seperately - its the only room that can hold up on its own as a seperate set. I doubt Lego will release the rest of Cloud City as individual sets though. More than likely they'll deliver one big set that covers the remaining areas together (duel area, dining room, junk pile, landing platform etc) for around the same price point as the original Cloud City or Jabba's Palace. darththeling Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Kids aren't going to buy a SW Lego dining room set. Ordinarily I would agree - however I think there is enough conflict in this scene to do it justice TLG-style. Every kit it seems features a good guy / bad guy balance. And then loads 'em up with flick fires. In this case, Han does fire his blaster at Vader's hand (ESB spoilers, sorry) and then "We would be honored if you would join us." Some Stormtroopers pile in, blasters aimed at the heroes. Anyone ever wonder if they sat down and actually ate with Vader? Quote
TheAmazingDarkKnight Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 (edited) Anyone ever wonder if they sat down and actually ate with Vader? Well... (there's some mild "Mature" content in that video btw, so watch at your own risk) Edited August 7, 2015 by TheAmazingDarkKnight Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Well... (there's some adult content in that video btw, so watch at your own risk) Was thinking this exactly when people were talking about the dinner scene Quote
markw Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Just spotted that, is there any other scene where a Jedi/Sith deflects blaster bolts WITH THEIR BARE HANDS? Pretty badass, Quote
AndyRiley8 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Well... (there's some mild "Mature" content in that video btw, so watch at your own risk) Genius! I had never seen that before. Thanks for the link Quote
marksable Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 (edited) Because carbonite Han is included. (Source: the same guy that knew about the size before it was listed on amazon etc. Check a few pages back) :) Bendu, can you ask your source if the freeze chamber is part of a planned modular Bespin wave? markw Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Genius! I had never seen that before. Thanks for the link If you've never seen the Robot Chicken series they are definitely worth a watch. Very tongue in cheek but painstakingly accurate. 'Ponda Baba's Bad Day' is my particular highlight: Quote
bountybossk Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I'm was hoping the "Hoth Attack" set would include a redesigned AT-ST but that seems almost impossible with a €30 set right? Quote
Fuppylodders Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I'm was hoping the "Hoth Attack" set would include a redesigned AT-ST but that seems almost impossible with a €30 set right? Extremely impossible considering the snowspeeder set being more... Quote
bountybossk Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 (edited) Extremely impossible considering the Snowspeeder set being more... Haha! Yeah, guess I was still a bit hopeful when writing that post. It will probably be like an XL battle pack then. Edited August 7, 2015 by bountybossk Quote
JimCanuck Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Anybody else thinking it will be a trimmed version of http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/7666_Hoth_Rebel_Base Based on the video Otherwise it will probab be fun glorified http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/7749_Echo_Base Jim Quote

JimCanuck Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Small sets, perhaps with mini-locations sounds good. The Battle packs and other small sets do need an update. Jim Quote
The Kid Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I've also heard rumblings of a December 2015 wave (not January 2016). Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I thought the TFA sets were the December wave, but apparently they're coming out next month. We usually get the 2016 sets either late November or late December. Quote
The Kid Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Yes, but where the January 2016 themes will likely be released on 1st Jan in LEGO stores (as happened this year), this Star Wars wave will be officially released in December. Quote
