Ultron Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I'm sorry but anyone who thinks the Hoth UCS set is going to come with an AT-AT is dumb. It would take up half of the piece count. So stop talking about it because it's not going to happen. It's way more likely that we'd get an AT-ST, and I still don't think that's even that likely. Quote
YellowCorvette Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Yeah, an AT-ST make more sense to been appear in the Hoth UCS set, but it also a bit unlikely. I think some speeder bike for the Snowtroopers is much more possible. Quote

Klaus-Dieter Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Thank you very much for your review, IGRION! Here my thoughts on the Carbon Freezing Chamber: - function with the carbon block doesn't make any sense - too small - carbon block doesn't move up and down (like in the first exclusive CC set) + perfect price ratio performance + finally an Ughunaut + great characters + realistic and excellent design for its small size + stairs can be put upstairs So all in all I have to say that this is a cute little set with which you can replay this scene with some nice details at a fair price point. The bad discovery I made is that there are no hinges or other things (like in the last Jabba's Palace set) which let us conclude that this set is part of a bigger set - namely a modular CC! So a modular CC is absolutely unlikely - oh no! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Schneeds Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I believe the majority here are correct: there is no way the UCS Hoth set will include an AT-AT; the piece count doesn't even come close to allowing that. That being said, I don't see how the set can possibly impress with a mere 2,000 pieces. If Hoth sells that well, they should have just gone all out and made a quality 3,800 piece monstrosity like the now retiring Death Star. This is just going to waste what could have been an actual UCS AT-AT, which would have been enormously popular. Quote

Brickr Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 For those of you who follow LEGO Collectible Minifigure Series, does anyone else agree that the new Satyr legs are definitely going to be used (in dark tan with new printing) for the next Poggle the Lesser and Geonosian warriors/zombies? See here: Quote
x105Black Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Completely lame that Boba Fett is not up to modern standards. He should have printing on his arms. Quote

See here: https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/ They're very useful... I can see them being used for a number of things. Poggle the Lesser is quite a way down on my list of things to use it for though... ;) Completely lame that Boba Fett is not up to modern standards. He should have printing on his arms. Well the reason he doesn't is to keep the UCS Slave 1 version with some level of exclusivity... same with the arm printing on the TIE Pilot in the UCS set. He is up to modern standards.. just without arm printing. The arm printed torso was available on B&P for months if anyone wanted it. Quote

Bricksnaps Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 So here is my take on the attack on Hoth set. A) we will find out soon enough, some of us will be right and some wrong. B) this is romours and discussions so I will do both C) one of the set designers of this worked on the EV. When I met him he said that the EW village was designed so that you could add on and combine multiple sets. Ideally 3 EV would make the ultimate endor set. They wanted to include images of it on the box but Lego shut it down as they didn't want people to think they had to spend $750 in order to get a complete set D) with knowledge of point c I can easily see how the set would include the now retired at at walker. Three sets gives you multiple vehicles which you need. Quote
Richpepperell Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 On the shelves of Exeter ToysRUs - the first order and resistance battle packs and the X-wing and snowspeeder micro fighters. Glad I just popped in - totally getting me in the mood for my midnight screening tomorrow night! Quote
Junior Shark Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 It's unneccesary to do so, in my opinion. Without the arm printing, he is not up to standards. Completely soured me on the set. I wish I had gotten the part on Bricks & Pieces when it was available. What standards? As far as I can tell, the standard on arm printing is that it's for minifigures in exclusive sets (Like the Slave I....). For minifigures in commonplace, $20-$30 sets (like the Carbon Freezing Chamber), it is the standard to not have arm printing. C) one of the set designers of this worked on the EV. While i understand your argument, that doesnt dismiss the piece-count counter argument, based on what we've seen, there is no space in a $250 set for an AT-AT worth of pieces Quote
Ultron Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 That carbon chamber set is so awful. They couldn't even make decent play features Quote

You do realise how spoilt you sound when your entire complaint of the entire set is based purely on some missing ink on the 2 arms of a single minifig? Quote
Junior Shark Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) Don't know if this has been posted yet (knowing me, it probably has ), but the 2016 Star Wars set listings are up on Shop @ Home. EDIT: Well, some of them Edited December 15, 2015 by Junior Shark Quote

r4-g9 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 The ones currently online are the ones that will be coming out January first, at least in North America. I could always be wrong, but this is what my sources have said. Quote
