I saw the movie yesterday. Snoke is mentioned AND is seen, but

only as a hologram (which is HUGE). It is unknown if this is his real size. He could be as little as Yoda or as tall as Godzilla. Also, his hologram is only seen in a gigantic room which would make a very dull LEGO set.

It is confirmed he is 7 ft tall and is very skinny. Not a spoiler or speculation, it was confirmed by Serkis and JJ a few days ago so he could still be a polybag!

Movie spoilers:

I hope that snoke is released in a set later, unless the polybag is widely available it will become another Revan. And releasing him in a polybag would spoil his actual size, due to it not being revealed yet

Wow it's been basically confirmed we are getting a Snoke polybag and everyone is too busy complaining about the cost of Lego. Seriously??

I doubt it.

The rumour is a general. Snoke is supreme leader? I think it will be a variant along the lines of the General Hux figure (all black, leather coat)

If so I'd want a dark blue one, not black.

Saw the movie last night. Some (SPOILER) thoughts on the new sets.

First Order Battle Pack

The turret looks quite accurate to the ones on Starkiller Base although much more scaled down. While I did see the Heavy Gunner Stormtrooper, First Order Crewman and Technician, they didn't really stand out enough to warrent army building them. I think they probably should've saved them for the larger sets and kept the battlepack focused on the traditional Stormtroopers.

I Feel like i saw the heavy ones everywhere just mixed in with the regular ones, When it comes down to it they are just more stormtroopers. I do agree if u end up with 50% heavy it's too much, but te battlepack is great in variety, people who want a nearly complete set of first order figs get theirs.

compared to other battlepacks its great surely. it has 1 normal stormtrooper unlike the OT packs. On top of that lego has not been stingy with stormtroopers in other sets either.

Last warning. Discussing prices policies isn't a LEGO Star Wars rumor!

This thread collects everything we know about 2016 LEGO Star Wars sets; discuss them sets here! Please read before posting:
  • Stay on target topic. stayontarget.gif
  • Remember that this topic is for discussing sets that are rumored to come in 2016. If it's something you wish to see or something you think that we'll see sometime in the future, but not something that's actually rumored to be a 2016 set, then it's pure speculation and it belongs in the Future Star Wars Sets topic. (We also have a topic for minifigs you want to see, which might be more appropriate.)
  • Do not post fabricated information, which could lead to your account being banned. It's not worth the fifteen minutes of Internet fame.

Also remember that, as stated in our Member Guidelines:

If you find an image of a new LEGO set and it is incredibly blurry or stamped "Confidential", it is a leak-please don't post it here. If you are uncertain, PM a member of the staff for guidance and include a link to the questionable material.

Thank you!

Saw the movie last night. Must say the 2015 and 2016 sets (except Kylo's Shuttle wings) are pretty accurate.

Maybe they could have passed on making the snowspeeder, because while being accurate it doesn't have enough screentime (to me) to justify the set, but they certainly didn't have that knowledge at the time.

As for the movie, I found it pretty good.

As for Snoke...

who the hell is he? I always had a theory that he was Darth Plagueis, who would have somehow survived the murder attempt against him from his apprentice Darth Sidious (he is after all supposed to have found a way to prevent other people's death, but what if he let sidious think that he couldn't cheat death himself knowing that his apprentice was plotting against him? But sadly, while kinda similar, Snoke didn't look like a Muun to me. That being said, he is presented as a very powerful character who masters the dark side of the force, and he looks quite old, so he must have been around for a while, and can't be some kind of newcomer that appeared during the 30 years between épisodes VI &VII... Not knowing his backstory is killing me...

After seeing the film last night, I find the idea of a Snoke polybag really unlikely.

The actual character design can't even be confirmed from the film as he's only seen as a giant hologram - he could be 7 ft tall or 70 ft tall in the flesh.

I also think it would be strange to get such an important character in this way considering the last few polybag minifigs - Darth Revan, Yularen, Han in Hoth gear (I know he's a major character but you get the gist).

Correct, BUT: were they talking about his appearance in the movie (as a hologram) or about his 'real' appearance? They didn't specify that.

The Emperor was also very big in Empire Strikes Back (where he's only seen as a hologram) while in reality he is normal sized.

Only 17 months 'till Episode VIII :P

About Snoke being Plagueis, there is a theory going around since Snoke's theme is almost identical to part of the theme used during Palpatine's talk about Plagueis, so it is not completely ruled out.

Also since the canon has been 'reset' Muun could look different to the 'Legends' Muun

San Hill from AOTC was a 'canon' Muun and although there is potentially some similarity, I think he looks significantly different from Snoke as seen in TFA

Just checked my local Bart Smit store (Netherlands):

*snip

I bought Droid Escape, Hoth Attack and the Rebel battle pack. If someone is interested, I can post some pics later on.

Which town? And did they have the new technic sets out as well?

Found them at Bart Smit Amstelveen (just south of Amsterdam). Looked like they just came in. I'm a day off so I'm on my way to the Bart Smit shop near my place (Amsterdam Zuid) to check if they have the FO battle pack and the microfighters.

I can check for the Technic sets too.

On my way!

Awesome, im in ijsselstein myself, might pop over to the local BS under the guise of picking up a present for a kids-party we have next week, im not too excited about the normal SW stuff, but id love the ghost and Tie proto MFs, and 4 of the 5 cheap technic sets are on my must-have list as well

Come on guys, just let me go 12 more hours then I get to see the movie.

Anyway, cool to see you guys are getting the sets. Is Takodana an exclusive to some store or something?

I was thinking the same thing - no reviews yet but it is on lego.com so maybe lego store exclusive?

btw nice profile pic

Nothing at the other store. I will check one other store in the city center, before heading to the cinema at 5 :D

Just checked the one in ijsselstein, nothing, and the shop manager said that if other stores had gotten it in, she should have gotten it, or they wont be getting it at all. My local shop is pretty small, and they made the lego section smaller (in favour of more playmobile  ), so i guess i dont have to bother going back there again...

*NO SPOILERS*

I know I said I was going to stay away, but after seeing so many *spoilers* put up here I don't think it can hurt me just saying...

"Absolutely Awesome movie, so, so good, totally worth the wait, thinking of going to see it again tonight".

But keeping to topic:

Every time I think of everything I saw in the movie that could/hopefully will be coming out in future sets, I nearly pee my pants with excitement!

I'm almost jealous of all you guys who still get to see it for the first time, enjoy!

you described perfectly my opinion.

I am absolutely regretted to buy my daughters tickets for tomorrow

I really want to see it again today!!!!!

The saga is in perfect hands!!!!!

Don't know if this is totally the right place for 'availability of sets' type comments, but Sainsburys have the TFA microfighters and battlepacks on shelves - not in toy section but in a separate TFA display.

You want this forum:
