Brickr Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Is there any way TLG can pull this off without it being a huge disappointment? Doubtful it could get the Death Star treatment. For now, I think the towers that come with the battlepack (75132) we're seeing might be a good start. A big red dish could be nice, but any way you cut it, it'll have to be fairly an abstract kit - or typical dull interior. I can't see a way for TLG to do a Starkiller base set any justice due to it's sheer size, but I'm happy for them to prove me wrong! An accurate rumour IS a spoiler, this is a thread for rumours so it's a thread for spoilers. I hope we get a Luke figure, Mark Hamill looked terrific. I'm guessing May 4th polybag. +1000,000 Loved that part, was it just me, or was anyone else waiting for him to crack a smile? Was the First Order Snowspeeder even in the movie? Yes, but if you blinked you'll have missed it, it is seen briefly looking out of one of the doors of Starkiller base into the snowy landscape, it's a shame you missed it, you'll have to go and watch it again now! Jedi-Bendu Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Was the First Order Snowspeeder even in the movie? A few secs in the background....not moving. Quote
Seaber Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) I hope we don't get Luke in a polybag, I'd rather save that possible polybag for someone else and get Luke when he stars in VIII in 2017. The same goes for Snoke. Having seen the movie, I have new found appreciation for these sets. As others have said, pretty much all aspects of film have been covered over two waves, I'm sure the Star Destroyer and Blue X-Wing will be seen in future films, and so we'll get sets for them down the line. I assume Finn's Resistance clothes could be used to make Poe from the opening of the movie, so maybe Han in his coat or Leia in a different costume could make up a polybag. If there is no new head mold for the character, it could also be Nien Numb. Edited December 20, 2015 by Seaber Spoiling the movie for others Quote

atlas Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Was the First Order Snowspeeder even in the movie? Appeared out in the snow in the background of a shot on Starkiller Base for like 2 seconds. That was it as far as I saw. Quote
Hobbun Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 *Spoilers* Please, put spoilers tags on spoilers for the movie. Just writing "Spoilers" is not enough. To write actual spoilers, type out: "[ spoiler]text[/spoiler ]" (without the quotation marks and space between the bracket and letter) Quote
atlas Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 hey, bickset listed a new UCS Snowspeeder! Set number 75144 awesome! OCP Thanks for the news. I'm sure this set will be quite nice, but at the same time I wish we were t getting another repeat. Still no UCS A-wing, proper minifig scale/UCS AT-AT any of the rebel ships except the corvette, etc. Quote
Robianco Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Just seeing something in a movie and thinking it will get a release isn't a rumour. If nobody from any source st a toy company, supplier, shop or Lego themselves have said anything about a set or figure being possible then it's not a rumour. If Stay Puft the Marshmallow Man beat Kylo Ren and won the day it still wouldn't be a rumour... just your opinion on it being a significant enough part of the film that it should get released. Massive difference. Closer to wishlisting than rumour. Quote
bootz Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Firstly, I really enjoyed the movie. It felt 100% like Star Wars even if it was something of a greatest hits album. What's sort of remarkable to me is how much I care about Finn, Rey, and Poe already, they might as well be that original trio of Luke, Leia, and Han because they're so likeable. I also didn't expect to want the new sets so badly after seeing it. Beforehand, I was content to just start with Rey's speeder, but now I want everything. As everyone else has said though, they really covered pretty much all the bases with the toys, not sure what else they could really do. Surprising that they didn't leave more room for more toys, though given the reason for the Ewok's existence, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Quote
LegoFjotten Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 I love that we are getting a new UCS Snowspeeder! It is one of my favourite designs from the OT (along with the Imperial Shuttle & Slave 1), and it's just the right size for a nicely designed & highly detailed UCS model. Quote

I think with the way things have been looking over the last couple of years it should be spectacular. Quote
CM4Sci Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Was the First Order Snowspeeder even in the movie? Rey and Finn used it once. So pretty much no. Oh and I saw the movie! It was so cool!! Quote
pittpenguin123 Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) Isn't Snoke supposedly huge? more maxi-figure size? That's more like it! I saw the movie yesterday. Snoke is mentioned AND is seen, but only as a hologram (which is HUGE). It is unknown if this is his real size. He could be as little as Yoda or as tall as Godzilla. Also, his hologram is only seen in a gigantic room which would make a very dull LEGO set. "I should have put my comment in a spoiler tag so I wasn't inconsiderate to others who have not seen the movie!" Edited December 19, 2015 by Stash2Sixx Spoilers!!! Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Where was it said he was a Munn? He doesn't look like one to me. Quote
Junior Shark Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) Yeah, pretty sure Snoke's not a Muun. He would have to be a pretty messed-up Muun. Also, on Snoke: Who was he animated by, Weta Digital? He just looked like some generic orc that would appear in LotR/ the Hobbit. With all the awesome physical creature effects, Snoke just looked super fake to me. Plus, Andy Serkis said Snoke's head couldn't be pulled off with prosthetics.... Yeah, cuz there have never been scar prostheticsin Star Wars movies. But besides that (and the X-Wing sniping ) the movie rocked my socks. +100 to whoever said something about already caring a lot for Rey, Finn & Poe. Throwin' wood on the rumor fire: http://imgur.com/Sc8ldTJ Note B-Wing Mark 2!!!!!! There's still hope for other evolved Rebel fighters! Edited December 18, 2015 by Junior Shark Quote

TenorPenny Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 I liked the X-Wing action, including the sniping. Quote
Junior Shark Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) That's the resistance troop transport.... Well yeah, I know that! No, look at the picture again. Note how it describes the transport as cobbled together from different ships, with the cockpit coming from a B-Wing Mark 2! (Emphasis on the Mark 2 part!!!) Get it? SonofTheShire Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 But besides that (and the X-Wing sniping ) What was the X-Wing sniping? Quote
Junior Shark Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) What was the X-Wing sniping? Oh, that scene during the Battle of Takodana where the Stormtroopers are holding Finn, Chewie and Han, Poe strafes them but manages to kill only the Stormtroopers on either side of our boys And the general "X-Wing shoots once, powerful explosive laser blast accurately takes out the one stormtrooper on the ground the pilot was aiming for" bit during that part. I mean, we didn't even see any Resistance troopers in action! You don't need foot soldiers when you got crazy good X-Wing pilots like that. Edited December 18, 2015 by Junior Shark Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) I agree with the hologram "comment from earlier that was deleted because it was a bit of a spoiler", but his race hasn't been confirmed anywhere yet. Edited December 19, 2015 by Stash2Sixx Reference to a spoiler comment that was removed Quote
Junior Shark Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 I agree with the hologram argument, but his race hasn't been confirmed anywhere yet. Have you taken a look at the Force Awakens Visual Dictionary yet? I haven't, but I think I'll pop into a Barnes & Noble and see if it doesn't have anything of interest on our Supreme Leader... Quote
