Brickr Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 If they UCS the TFA snowspeeder, there will be a disturbance in the Force like TLG has never seen before. +100 Hi everyone, I only recently got into Lego Star Wars UCS. Without having to dig to deep to find the answer, can I ask how many and if anyone knows which UCS sets will be released in 2016. Appreciate your help! From what I understand we can expect the following:UCS Hoth Echo Base UCS Snowspeeder And a new Death star to replace the recently retired version (nit sure if this is technically a UCS) Quote
namioik Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Just saw the other spiderdroid is still in shops in my area, really a strange move by TLG... If not spider droid, what else would the clone turbo tank fight against then? Quote
LordLEGOtube Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 There's a groovebricks article about a rumoured 'starkiller base' UCS set in the works- http://www.groovebricks.com/lego-star-wars-ucs-starkiller-base-coming-in-2016/ Quote

Sounds like the kind of thing that just ends up coming back here as a source. It very well may happen but time will tell. Quote

I originally stated that I thought there would be no Starkiller base until the final trilogy had ended, but after seeing the movie I expect it a lot sooner, if they ever make one that is, I still think the overall size of the base will make it difficult to produce a coherent set. No kidding. It would defy all attempts at scale. Heck, it'd make the DS1 playset look like 1:1 by comparison!Either that or in the Lego universe the characters are the size of Godzilla. Quote

rollermonkey Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Shame that they cancelled the Planets Series, now that we have a bunch more candidates for inclusion. Quote
Richpepperell Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Shame that they cancelled the Planets Series, now that we have a bunch more candidates for inclusion. I loved the Planets - I still have the entire series hanging in my dining room. The Death Star also acted as a great starting point for a Hoth Ion Cannon MOC! Quote
Ultron Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 (edited) "The first part of my comment was pretty much a spoiler so it has been removed!" They'd have to do it like this next UCS hoth and make it a playset...That or make it an actual model like the second death star set. Edited December 20, 2015 by Stash2Sixx SPOILER!!! Quote

They wouldn't make two in a year. He must be talking about the Death Star. Don't necessarily care to recreate certain scenes. . . Quote
YellowCorvette Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Do we know prices for the new sets?? Some of the new set has their price already been updated at Brickset. Some of the set prices are still unrecorded in the Brickset, but I sure the set informations will been updated at the future, including the actual prices. If you still want to know some of the prices of the new sets, here you are (http://brickset.com/sets/year-2016/theme-Star-Wars/page-1) Quote

Darth_Brick360 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 What wiki? Wookieepedia? Definitely doesn't say it on Wookieepedia (ergo, it's not true ). Muuns were only in the EU, huh? Tell that to San Hill (of Episode II fame). In case anyone was wondering, Snoke does not look like San Hill. There were Muuns in the clone wars too. Quote
Kman860 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 how much is takodana selling for in europe? it's 60 dollars in the US eh? it's ridiculous, putting two stormtroopers in a set that expensive and calling it 'battle of whatever'. we used to have fights bigger than that on our block, when we were kids. There's a groovebricks article about a rumoured 'starkiller base' UCS set in the works- http://www.groovebri...coming-in-2016/ What if the Death Star is still a Death Star, and the hoth playset is actually a Starkiller Base playset? MartinCliffe Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 2016 Star Wars sets can be found in the uk on Amazon and I believe Argos aswell. Amazon still doesn't seem to have listings for 75139 or 75140, and they don't have stock of 75141 yet... ordered the rest though (NOT the Spider Droid!). Looking forward to seeing what's in the next wave now :) Quote

Aethersprite Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Shame that they cancelled the Planets Series, now that we have a bunch more candidates for inclusion. I wasn't a fan of the planets series, but it seems like the most plausible sub-theme for a Starkiller Base set. Quote
Cyberfounder Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Do we know prices for the new sets?? Im not sure what area jou area you are from, but a bart smit the prices are: Carbon freezing chamber was €19,99 (very strange since on the website its 36,99€) But I'm not telling them that. Both Battlefront BP 14,99€ Both TFA BP 14,99€ Jedi Starfighter was 36,99€ Hoth set 36,99€ Droid escape 36,99€ Overall it's an expensive store: http://www.bartsmit.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/nl-be/bsbe/lego-star-wars?intv_id=12524&catalogId=11051&mpe_id=13623&langId=-105&evtype=CpgnClick&storeId=10152&ddkey=http%3AClickInfo Quote
Richpepperell Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 When it comes to a new Death Star set, it seems to me that the main reason for this is the release of Rogue One this time next year. the movie definitely features scenes inside the Death Star as sets have already been recreated. Surely a new Death Star would need to incorporate these as it would otherwise be out of date almost as soon as it was released Maybe it'll be released 'force friday' style in preparation for the new film. Quote
Kaanere Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 What if The Starkiller is a recreation of the outside like the Death Star II, that opens to reveal an interior? Mix of Helicarrier and Executor? BTW, I'm happy to have seen the movie at the first day, all seems full of spoilers! Quote
Something_Awesome Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 You jerks need to stop ruining the movie for those of us that have not seen it yet. There have been lots of posts that have spoilers in them. That includes people who have hidden their posts with spoiler buttons because there are spoilers in their posts that they failed to hide. People have been posting big spoilers without even realizing it. This thread officially sucks now. Nobody gives a rip about how you conect stuff you saw in the movie to TFA sets that are out now, as well as those sets that are NO LONGER RUMORED but confirmed to be released. Quote
_Samibotss_ Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Any Images or Information regarding these two? Quote
wilson3a10 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 That's the resistance troop transport.... This is really touching. Quote
